I spent 6 years playing solo. Finally, I was able to find a corp and alliance that I like, but I do miss playing solo sometimes. Also, a lot of the Corperations have stupid discords, core services, and ESI Authorizations. It was like a college application. And the Corp I joined was brave newbies. Hey mate. I'm an event coordinator in a small corporation called "JAGD Federation". Despite being only 100 members orso, Its the best community I've found in eve in the years I've been playing. We'd love to have you on board if you decide to try something new after brave. We're very community focused and very social. We do a bit of all the content in the game, for the most part. Love the videos, keep it up :)

I came back to Eve after about a 5 year break. Fresh character. New beginnings. I jumped corps for about a month trying to find a group of people that I felt like I clicked with. Some corps outright lied about the activities they did or how often just to get me in.. another told me they were USTZ but werent on or did any corp fleets until like 3am.. Eventually landed in a small wormhole alliance with some overall good people that are knowledgable and willing to fleet up and do shit if I'm ever bored. They always say having an extensive employment history EVE can be a bad look (which could be true to a degree..), but if thats what you gotta do to find what clicks with you, then oh well! :D
Yeah similar shit here. Recruiter straight up lied about timezone to get me in. After about 3 weeks in leadership voted with their 30+ alts to move to null...
Congrats on joining Brave. From your background, being part of the Imperium will be perfect for you. Maybe I will see you flying around space sometime. If I see you I will say hi.
Great video! Even the beginer videos are confusing to me. Everyone has a different experience and what is obvious to some is not to others. Intresting seeing your struggles, hoping I can avoid it once I'm ready to join a corp.
I just returned again for the first time in a long time. Last time I tried Eve, I joined, made a character and basically did about 6 missions for the agents and then just never had the time to play. Now that I have a little more time I’ve just returned and made another fresh character even though my other character has an age of 17 years and 5 months ago. I wanted to actually take the time and learn the game, and like you have been thinking about joining a corp since I have no friends that play Eve. Unfortunately, I keep running into a lot of videos and comments complaining about how life in a corp is. I don’t want a specific role either, I would just like to hang out and chill with people, ask questions when I need help or info and not feel like I’m asking a stupid question. Help others with knowledge once I’ve had enough time to learn it myself, and just have fun like the way I felt back during my Starwars Galaxies days.
As someone who makes most of their ISK through the in game chat function, I can definitely tell you that EVE is a very social game if you're just willing to talk to people. shoot the shit. Finding a good Corp is a struggle not just for newer Players. Finding the right group doing the things that you are interested in while the ppl have the "vibe" that you are comfortable with is a journey. Thats normal. Look around ... dont be afraid to switch every now and then. Listen to what ppl have to say about other Corps. Take the chances you have to fly with other Corps yourself.
I remember when i was new i applied to brave but got impatient after like 2-3 weeks and no offense to them but im glad since they had to go south a while ago. Can't imagine myself anywhere else than i am now.
Uhm, I already have a place where I'm a specialist and I do the same things every day. It's called A JOB. Eve is a GAME, where I like mining - for an hour or so - but then I want to scan data sites - until I don't anymore - and I'll manufacture stuff to sell - until that's all set until the next day - and then I'll brave lowsec and wormholes - until I can't stare at dscan anymore and I need to go to the bathroom and don't want to come back to a pile of space debris - and then go rat hunting ... Why on earth does anyone want to specialize? I want a Corp where I can get better at lots of things. I've already got a day job....
this is EXACTLY why my buddy and i just out of the blue started a corp ( a few years ago) was because we wanted to do what we wanted to do. and everything helps each other but we arent stuck to 1 or 2 roles.
My TF641 join was quick though i must admit the Discord setup sucked! They have been very newb friendly and have learned a ton. Low and Null aren't so scary anymore. Just treat ships like ammo. [Unless they have those shiny killmarks] If you ever wander away from Brave the torch for Amarr burns bright and true!
Ive had my eye on Brave for awhile. I want to complete the AIR training and the SOE arc and get more cumfy in lowsec (let alone nullsec) ' - do Ive put off applying. I'll be very interested in how it goes for you. From their propoganda, Brave sounds like my kind of folks...
I definitely sympathize with the issues you had. I had similar issues coming back to the game a couple of years ago and not realizing that a lot of the recruitment happens outside of the game now. That said, ignoring the external APIs and discord requirements, the video makes it sound like you kind of just expected to put in an application and join without actually talking to anyone? It sounds like you put in an in game application without ever talking to a recruiter (since they would've told you to go to discord), and when you put in a discord application you didn't think to check it for replies? Like these are people you were, presumably, flying alongside in the same militia for a month but at no point did you just...talk to them about your application? Unless their recruiters are incredibly slow, I don't see how else you could've gone a month without being accepted or rejected.
@@Snakester789 I honestly thought that the talking would begin when you were in. Like, how else do I know who to talk to or how to talk to them before getting in. Or at least that's what I thought.
@@bucklinfondue 5:00 I mean, the in game corp advert literally gives you the names of 4 recruiters who you could've reached out to at any point by just right clicking their name and sending them a mail or chatting to them directly if they were online. Alternatively you could've tried reaching out to someone from the corp/alliance in militia chat. Like I say, I really do sympathize with how joining a corp in eve can feel like trying to get an actual job at times, but it is still an MMO. To, seemingly, not try talking to someone from the corp you're applying to for a month in a genre known for it's social elements is on you imo.
Join Pandemic Horde , there are no strict joining conditions.Once you in and joined a few fleets , you will be able to join a corp that allows you specify in an activity . I have also tried various corps and it's just ends up killing my eve vibe , after I joined PH , it's been great !

All the corps ive ever joined has been through someone randomly messaging me in game. All of them have been pretty cool. I guess just enjoy yourself solo until someone picks you up
I've had a similar experience over the last few weeks. I keep reading about how Eve players want to embrace noobs, but sitting in comms listening to established players berate, bamboozle or belittle new ones is kinda jarring. Hope you find your place with Brave, I've heard good things!
After a 6yr hiatus I returned to Eve and felt it might be a good thing to join a large corp to earn ISK ratting in nullsec. I'm not mentioning which corp because I suspect the same, of not worse, happens elsewhere. I ended up with some uppity dude drilling me for hours about what I could and could not do, what apps I had to use, where I could and couldn't go, which ships I was allowed to use, so on and so forth. After making a few early mistakes since I really couldn't take in every scrap of information being aimed at me, I got told off, threatened with expulsion and all the time spoken down to like I was a complete newb. I put up with it for about 5 days before getting the hell out of Dodge. It made me ill with anxiety and frankly, if this is what they call a game then I'd stick to something nice and easy like astrophysics or neurosurgery.
Always avoid large groups, too many rules, stick with small to mid size that are allies with the large groups. Then you get all the freedom of the small groups but all the benefits of the large group 😊
Quit the game three full years. Cameback and decided to join a new alliance. Tried my luck with PH. The very first corp literally told me that i have too much isk and have only one accaunt on omega state. They found this very suspicious and rejected my application after multiple silly questions. Second corp asked me why i have afew assets. Told'em that i've sold them cuz i don't wanna waste time with logictics and moveOPs etc.. They found this suspicious and rejected my app. For the third corp, i've told them that i had a friendly spy in PH for years. They replied "oh thats alright. We are aware that PH has many spies which share fake intel and such". They asked me if i awoxed anyone. Told'em no but they did not belive me and got rejeceted. List goes on...

Center for Advanced Studies.
great video dude
I am just an on and off player for the past 4 years. Just making ISK now as a therapy because I can't make 1.5M USD per day.
@@Snakester789 that gap is an editing issue. I had been chatting with recruiters throughout that time. The initial wait was only a day or two.
Join Pandemic Horde , there are no strict joining conditions.Once you in and joined a few fleets , you will be able to join a corp that allows you specify in an activity . I have also tried various corps and it's just ends up killing my eve vibe , after I joined PH , it's been great !
Can i just be left alone ratting in null sec whenever i can log in without anyone telling me that i need to do things in fleets?
@@shaq3675 yes, it's very relaxed, as PH is a filtering corp into more commited corps . However if you just want to chill and rat , you welcome to do so. Plus will have the protection of the standing fleet .
Brave are enemies. See you on the battlefield sometime o7.
@@LordAnubis85 hope to see you out there.
I used the in game corp advert feature and the second one I joined is the one I am still in
always amazing to see that this game still exists. how? no one knows but thank god those devs cocaine habits are still getting funded.
Where have you gone?
shame rvb isnt around anymore. that was the place to be for any new bro that didnt want to deal with this shit
Where are the new videos, I miss you?
Isn't it really easy to join Pandemic Horde?
All the corps ive ever joined has been through someone randomly messaging me in game. All of them have been pretty cool. I guess just enjoy yourself solo until someone picks you up
Also i swear i saw you in space earlier today
@@MrEasyCheasy I get around;)
I would love to see how you pissed off the US Border Patrol 😂
lots of 40k in thee background, checks out..
Lmfaoo 😂😂 Just fly near AO, Gov Lee will kidnap you my boy 😂😂
Literally, the hardest thing to do is auth on Discord. 😂
Try to roleplay your character a bit, it will create some distance between you and the game. Try it
FOR THE EMPEROR! xD
I would NEVER hand over my full api data to anyone. Just not worth it imo.
Yeah, not doing that.
join horde from ingame join bouton, AFTER you make your setup!, plus you don
@@cybercereal-gg yeah, I apparently had a lot of suspicious activity. Most of my answers were that I genuinely had no idea what they were asking.
@@cybercereal-gg trust needs to be earnd. But i am still wondering that you get rejected that many times..
I was suspected few times to be a spy, too. Even i got recruited by somebody and never did anything like awoxing or stealing in my whole EVE career😅
I guess everyone is sus and needs to proof that they are not 😅 I am Also not trusting Corps/Alliances i didnt know or heard much about.. what i want to say is.. Trust needs to be earned like isk :)
(Even for me who choose to be a good guy roleplay; Gallente Federal Officer)
not awoxing anyone is def sus bro
join pandemic horde
Nah, join 3 corps in my time, too much drama instead of enjoying yourself.
I've never even used the in game mail but fuck that level of invasion of privacy. I'll just play alone if that's the standard practice.
Promoting data theft is scum but w/e
Are you dumb? 😂
