What's the difference between my two female Russian Steppes Eagles?

Storm and Athena - our two mighty Steppes Eagles. On a quick glance they will look almost the same. However their personalities (and their feathers and looks) are different. Ryan, our head falconer, attempts to describe the difference between the two and feeds them some pheasant - which they love.

about 20 years ago, there was a family of golden eagles that roamed around our camp site near the Brooks Range mountains, one was what we called "Stormy" this eagle had about a 9 foot wingspan and just disappeared within the recent years. very beautiful animals! thanks for sharing ❤
