Today we have to prepare turmeric leaf ada.
In a pan, add grated jaggery and water.
Boil them well till the jaggery is completely melted.
Remove them from the fire and strain them well.
In a bowl, add rice flour, salt and crushed cardamom powder. Combine them well.
Add the required amount of water little by little to the rice flour and mix thoroughly with a wooden spatula.
When it is warm enough to handle, knead it with your hands until the dough becomes soft. Keep it aside.
Then peeled the banana and chopped it into thin slices.
Heat a pan and add grated coconut and stained jaggery.
Stir them well till the jaggary water is completely absorbed by the grated coconut.
Now add the crushed cardamom and stir them well.
Then add the chopped bananas and stir them well.
Then cook for a few minutes, remove from the fire, and set aside.
Heat water in a steamer and place an idli steamer in it.
Then take a turmeric leaf and cut it in half.
Wash them well with water and set them aside.
Take a lemon-sized piece of dough and flatten it over a turmeric leaf with your fingers.
Then place a small amount of jaggery-banana mix on top and spread it.
Again, fold in half lengthwise and press gently on the sides.
Then place the turmeric leaf ada on the steamer and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
Once it is well cooked, remove the turmeric ada from the steamer and cool it well.
Serve and enjoy the turmeric leaf ada with coffee or tea.
