Bringing back memories of my grandmother in Jaffna. As a kid I watched her make every meal from scratch just like this lady in a wood stove. My aunt prepped the ingredients using stone grinder and coconut scraper.

Curry leaves, cumin seeds, cardamon seeds , red dry chilli , green chilli , chilli powder , turmeric , fenugreek seeds , coconut milk and the pulp , red lentils , long grain rice , cassava ( the long brown at the end) , garlic , shallots , potatoes , string beans ❤ I’m Italian private chef I know all of those ingredients because I use them a lot for my tasty curries 🧑🏽🍳👌🇮🇹 And believe me I make curry from scratch just like this lady. Also Thai curry , Peruvian pescando sudado ,🇵🇪 Sardinian agliata , Indonesian curry ❤

Its like she and the knife are best friends.. she uses it to even stir..Loved the natural background sound, the faint bhajan , no nonsensical chatter.. if something can be this visually appealing who cares about ingredients not being mentioned.
That’s how my mother , May she rests in peace used to cook and use the knife.. I did the same , grew up in Israel with a Yemenite dear mom , I still miss her wonderful cooking..
