the fact that this show is such an apt satire of modern corporate conglomorates and their facades of friendliness and yet it is made by motherfucking amazon is so hilarious i dont know how to feel about it
I think this does get mudded by how separate decisions can be made on varying levels of the corporate hierarchy - Jeff Bezos may have not even heard of 'The Boys' until it became massively successful.
But then there this line from Noah Gervais' spoiler review of Cyberpunk 2077: "Corporate capitalism doesn't care if you hate it. In fact, it can take that hate, package it in neon and chrome and sell it right back to you for 60 dollars."
Probably the same way I feel about every show on FOX taking potshots at the network well into the era of people being able to become great entertainers without sucking some suit off.

2 years later and the scene where Michael shakes the baby violently and then shines it into someone’s eyes still makes me cry
Can we talk about how Michael created and told a full narrative with proper set up and pay off all on the central theme of “deception” in a 9-minute RUclips video about making a laser baby? The script writing is always fantastic and I don’t feel like it’s recognized a lot. Script writing is a ton of work, and it doesn’t go unappreciated. Also, obviously, the delivery, editing and execution were also great as always:)

@@elibishop2588 Nope, you have always to start with an idea. And the brilliance of the marketing is to recognize the opportunity when someone takes and runs with it. Notice the wording of the disclaimer. They could have said "Edit the baby shanking out" but they didn't. Instead they were fine looking like greater twats than they actually were in order to have a better video. This is a chaotic result but not an accidental one.
