    Thanks you so much, i just did mine, works like a charm. Bought the part from wrecker, it was from 2008 fj and mine was 2010, then bought the key/fob from amazon for the 2010 model( the one that keyfob and key in single piece ) but didn’t get the key cut. I just use the fob,im still thinking if will get the keys cut so im gonna have a key and fob in one piece but im cheap Lol

    Now you can actually buy remote that is built in the key with the same FCC-ID program it. I did it and now I don't have extra thing hanging in my keyring. It looks better that way also. BTW, just subscribed to your channel and I'm the 100th subscriber lol

      Thanks! Great idea, I'll definitely look into the key/remote combo. Seems like my key ring doubled in size just from adding the remote haha.

    I have a top of the line XV20 1997 Toyota Camry V6 (Lumière trim level which was the highest in my country back in 1997). The car came with the V6, both front power seats, power mirrors, power locks, digital air conditioning, premium audio system, wood trim, heated seats, height adjustable headlights, front and rear fog lights, leather seats and the freaking car didn’t came with keyless entry WTF?

    I thought all FJ Cruisers came with a keyless entry remote. Huh? Learn something everyday.

      Interesting to learn the small changes that were made over the years

    one detail for that kind of key fob 07 and 08: they have a huge amount of range the non of the new ones have. this one is when you have the panic bottom on you will find the car between many.

    You should specify this is only for 2007-2008 models. I think 09 and newer can't use the keyfob.

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад

      May be wrong, but I believe 09 and newer would be the same procedure except the fob is built into the key so it would require getting a key cut in addition to programming a new fob. Perhaps keyless entry became standard on all FJ models after a certain year? I didn't look much beyond 2008, since that's what I own. I did see in-dash wireless receivers for just about every year FJ on eBay when I bought the one seen in the video, so at the very least installation would theoretically be the same for all years.

      Not necessarily a friend of mines fj is a 2007 and it has keyless entry stock when she bought it.

    I have exactly the same model number but taken from a 2007 fj... mine it is 2008... will it fit mine? Thanks a lot for your videos... we have the same base model.. and i am learning a lot from you... thanks

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад

      Yes it should work just fine, especially being the same part number. The remotes between the 07 and 08 seem to be cross compatible as well, for what it's worth. Glad you're enjoying the vids, let me know how the install goes!

    • @freddyrivera8890
      @freddyrivera8890 6 лет назад

      Thanks man, since I don’t have any remote control, I am buying the one you recommended from amazon.... they are about $22 for a couple of piece... they should work just fine... any better recommendation for remote controls? Thanks again.

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад

      No problem. The amazon ones seem to be good for the price, but every once in a while I need to hit the button 2 or 3 times to get the doors to unlock. I'd probably try to find a used OEM remote if I were to buy another, but I suppose the condition of one of those could be a crapshoot as well..

    Can you list the part & part number for the keyless entry reciever?

    • @dironaa

      It’s been so long I can’t remember what it was or find any paperwork on it, but if you do some searching on ebay you should be able to find it

    Hey man.... I really want to install the dash gauge cluster... and I wonder how difficult it could be for somebody with little experience on electrical cars like me... are you planing to install one in your FJ sometime soon?...Any advice?

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад

      Those things are cool and I did look into it, but for me they're are a little too pricey for the functionality you get out of them. Maybe I'll get to it someday when there are more FJs in junkyards and the cost of parts starts coming down. Here's a write up I came across on the FJ forums when looking at the install, it doesn't seem terribly difficult as long as you don't mind cutting a hole in your dash:
      www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/stereo-electronics-electrical/36300-dash-gauge-pod-cluster-installed-without-dash-swap.html#/topics/36300

    • @freddyrivera8890
      @freddyrivera8890 6 лет назад

      Dirona to be honest, cutting the the hole in the dash, it doesn’t worry me at all....it is getting the wires in place what worry me the most due to my little electrical skills.... I read the forum and seams pretty helpful.... I’ll get brave and let you know how it goes... once again thanks a lot for your help.

    Keyless entry or a alarm remote? Isn't keyless entry opens the door when you get close to the car?

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад

      Keyless entry. Just press the lock or unlock button on the remote instead of having to insert the key into the door. My FJ didn't come with a remote from the factory and the key cylinder on my drivers side door was starting to fail and become unreliable, so this was the solution. The vast majority of FJ Cruisers had keyless entry installed at the factory but mine was one of the few that didn't.

    2 questions what did you search on eBay to find this? I'm not seeing them. And do you or anyone else know if the box for 2009-2014 will work? I want the key fob built into the key.

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад

      I did a search for "fj cruiser door control receiver". Not seeing any right now either but there must have been close to a dozen on there when I bought the one in the video a few months ago, so I'd imagine if you keep checking back there will be more that pop up eventually.

    Awesome job bud.
    In your last video you programmed an aftermarket fob, but here you used a Toyota fob.
    Did you just happen to have one laying or something? Lol

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks. Haha yeah, I borrowed one off of another Yota to make sure the install would work before spending money on remotes for the FJ. Returned the OEM fob to its rightful owner and now just use the aftermarket ones. Good eye!

    Anyone have any luck programming with non-matching FCC #’s?

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  5 лет назад

      I was able to program a 2007 remote to the 2008 receiver, which had a different FCC number but your mileage may vary.
