There are angels who patrol Los Angeles. And then there are the Nomads.
Lesley-Anne Down (Sphinx, Death Wish V) "gives a riveting... performance" (L.A. Weekly) and Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, The November Man) is top-notch in "the most stylish supernatural-themed chiller... since Carrie" (Variety)! Also starring Adam Ant (Slam Dance), Mary Woronov (Death Race 2000) and Frank Doubleday (Escape from New York) and written and directed by John McTiernan (Predator, Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October), Nomads is a "chiller thriller [that's] brimming with menace and suspense" (Judith Crist)!
They creep. They kill... and no one knows who they are or where they came from. But when these rootless, demonic spirits descend on a determined doctor, all hell breaks loose. Bitten by a dying madman named Jean Pommier (Brosnan), Dr. Eileen Flax (Down) becomes the vessel for his turbulent and insane thoughts. Thrust into his last days, she is shocked to discover the existence of mysterious and murderous demons on a quest for destruction... and begins her own quest to somehow stop them before she joins Pommier in his horrifying fate!
Brilliant movie for the day. I fell in love with Pierce Brosnan's acting here. He was completely underrated.
True . Piearce Brosnan, there was more to him than Remington steele or James bond for that matter. Lesley Anne Down still a beautiful lady.
I loved this movie
His French accent was NOT underrated. 🤣
1:00 Yeah, does this shot look familiar from Die Hard? McTiernan was practicing?! xD
Exactly what I was thinking!
Wow those nomads are terrifying.
@compsciguyyup true.
Yup.
This is quintessentially Scream Factory. Titles like Nomads are want i want from Scream. I hope we get many more flicks like this 80s classic. Think I'll watch this tonight
I remember this would be a trailer on the Aliens video back in 87...
One of my all time favorites!
Lol is this movie really any good?
Mine too!
Affirmative.
Finally, that Anti-Deep 13 film we've been waiting for.
2024 and this is still one of my favorite movies.
If they're thinking of moving to an occult-filled Los Angeles, THEN MAYBE THEY SHOULDN'T BE LIVING THEEEEEERRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEE !
I don't care about the story. I'd watch the movie just to see the then sexy Brosnan shirtless. Sigh, he was so soooo handsome.
Yes I have admire Pierce Brosnan (68-years-old /69) ❤❤❤ ......
I have loved his work in Nomads (1987) and Dante's Peak (1997--Volcanologist Harry Dalton ) ❤❤❤
Caught this on late night TV in the late 80s, have seen it many times since. The Ted Nugent tracks have not aged that well, but this film is still fantastic. One of those films that has two or three scenes that stick with you forever. (I loved Roger Ebert, but this is one film I disagreed with him about as he didn't particularly like it.)
I’m about to watch this movie for the first time
How does a trailer for a movie that is so clearly about photography not say a thing about photography?
@@vFANGv What, grocery stores? Oh... And I thought Cobra was all about Ray Ban sunglasses...
@@vFANGv thanks! I love me some grocery action!
Go back to sleep stupid troll. 😆
This movie was directed by John McTiernan, the one responsible for Predator and Die Hard 1. Could this movie be the inspiration for Paranormal Activity?
It's like when Tony Scott directed "the hunger"
Id say if anything this movie helped influence Predator, cause Arnie was so impressed with the tense atmosphere of the movie, made with such a low budget he hired it's director for the Predator movie, John McTierrman.
Robocop also has that shot.
Never heard of this 😯wow came out a year before i was born
I have seen this movie two years ago in the night in the hotel where I have worked. The next morning I wanted to put the trash bin on the street and opened the garage door. On the door there was a graffiti sprayed similar like in the movie that night. Damn, the Nomads have been there ;-)!
Los pandilleros mejor vestidos y peinados que ví!!
Whats it about? Ahh yes, its about Nomads
Movie still creeps me out.
This was easily the most incriminating piece of evidence a human being ever wrote.
Long live the nomads
Reminds me of JAMES HERBERT'S _ ( THE DARK ) Horror Novel 😮
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT 991+500 TIMES
I remember the soundtrack having a lot of Ted Nugent songs on it.
Must have been a free-for-all.
@@thingfish000 tum dum tsssss
I prefer the lesbian version of this film. It's called nonads!...
.......
Pierce is SO HOT!!
Omg those ugly looking creatures! They look just like us too! 😩
Things havent changed much then
More like NoNads...... This Movie has No Balls.
Gonads
The film is a mess, but it’s an interesting mess. I’d watch it again for its atmosphere alone.

It's sheer hypocrisy how Arnie dissed Stephen Hopkins' appointment as director of Predator 2(calling him 'the guy that directed Nightmare on Elm Street 5'), yet *this* movie was John McTiernan's debut feature & he got the gig for Predator on the back of it. Cognitive dissonance is a real b1tch..
To be fair, this is a better movie than Nightmare on Elm Street 5. Dream Child was one of the worst in the series.
That looks... terrible
Well then stop looking in the mirror 😆
Worst movie ever. Literally, it's a miracle that he landed Die Hard three later after making this horrendous debut. Casting Pierce as a Frenchman!? Nostalgia aside this film is a hot mess...Free Jack, The Road Warrior, Escape from New York/LA...all of them hold together compared to Nomads.
Mmmm, I disagree. I think it's fascinating. This tribe lead by Adam Ant wants more members. They know Pierce Brosnan's character is bored. They lay out an invitation and he takes it. They're bored too. They want to grow their tribe. Make it stronger.
@@Kevin-hw3pnAren't they supposed to be supernatural spirits that have lived for centuries? Are you saying they simply make Brosnan one of them?
@@davidh00 That's their goal. To add numbers to their clan. Strength in numbers. The nun tells him "They're leading you into a different world."
@@Kevin-hw3pn Good point. Thanks.
The most stupid movie i ever saw but well done hahaha
It went way over your head then. You didn't get it. It was a good film
