Yep, my local dealers are still charging 'Market Adjustment" pricing on Tacomas and everything else on the lot, as well as packing them with useless, overpriced optional equipment. Seriously looking at the Frontier, but you mention Ford's Ranger has a regular V-6 option so I've got to take a look at that before purchasing. No Ecoboost for me, that's just a 'brand name' for a turbo.

I like that a 2 door cab is available. I don't like that you can't get a hybrid in the short cab. I get that there isn't room for the transmission hybrid motor in the short cab, but Toyota could add the beefed up starter from the Hilux hybrid. That would help get it off the line faster and help with fuel economy.

Used to be great quality. Toyota US is having problems putting anything worth a crap. Toyota started going down with the 2018 Camry. Might as well buy a cheap Ford instead of a expensive Toyota if it's going to fall apart. At lease you can buy a Ford engine from a junk yard for $1000 instead of $10,000.

If Toyota brought back the V6 (Tacoma) and the V8(Tundra), I would purchase a Tundra. At the time of my purchase of a truck, no Toyotas were available as the plant was closed due to CVD. I purchased a Silverado instead with the 5.3. Any truck of this class(Dodge, Chevy (GMC), Toyota, Nissan), needs a V8. So, Toyota, put a V8 in the Tundra and a V6 in the Tacoma, and your sales will improve.

Although you're comparing vehicles as if they're all the same quality and price, which they are not. The Fords are very expensive and they also have turbo engines 👎🏼
Jeeps are poor quality and very expensive 👎🏼 GMC and Chevy are on the poor quality and expensive side too👎🏼👎🏼 the only one that may be worth buying is the Frontier V6 if you get a good deal. Toyota Tacoma could be on top again if they would bring back the old 4cyl and V6 proven reliable engines. 👍🏼👍🏼
