    That's wild. I've been learning for the last week and a half, and the yarn over/under thing confused me for a bit. I wasn't sure how much it mattered, and the terminology messed with my brain, as I think of the actions in terms of the hook (yarn under = hook over).
    I've gotten more comfortable with the basics now, so I'll definitely be mindful about this. Thank you for sharing.

    • @kimcraft
      @kimcraft  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you so much for sharing your crochet journey! 😊 You're absolutely right - the yarn over/under terminology can be tricky when you're starting out, and it's completely normal to feel confused at first. It's great that you're becoming more comfortable with the basics - that's a huge achievement for just a week and a half of learning!
      I love how you're thinking about the mechanics in your own way (hook over vs yarn under) - sometimes finding our own way to understand techniques makes them stick better in our minds. Keep practicing and exploring what works best for you.
      If you have any questions as you continue learning, feel free to ask! And I'd love to see your progress if you'd like to share. Happy crocheting! 🧶✨

    I turn my crochet inside out and that makes it look very neat.

      I do this too. I learned that this is the correct way to display the tighter stich on the outside.

    Just for everyone in the comments, whichever way you do it. You're still professional and you're doing it your own way. Theres not really a right or wrong, just have fun.

    I was trying to made a bear following a video, but my crochet wasn't looking like the reference, then I noticed how the way that person was crocheting, I was thinking if this little detail makes the difference and definitely do

    personally I like the "unprofessional" one better. I think that makes it look more handmade, and when I look the the "unprofessional" one, I think "they don't care about if it looks professional, their just someone having fun with their hobby and makinsg people happy" and when I look, at the "professional" one, I think "they care about the looks and money rather than making people happy"
    BUT THATS JUST MY OPINION, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINIONS, DO WHAT YOU WANT!
