I got the Teresa one and honestly had prepared myself to be disappointed simply bc well I always am with current Barbie. But WOW, I was so impressed and had the best time unboxing my doll. It really had the same kind of feeling from when I was a kid in the 80s. A beautiful, quality doll with beautiful clothes, lots of details, a gorgeous face (the Steffie mold no less), and the fantastic bend and snap legs. And I felt like they really added some of the better modern elements that a do enjoy about Barbie such as the articulation on the arms, and of course the adorable artwork! For once I felt like I got my money's worth with this doll. I'm thrilled, I want them all now.
I am so glad to hear she is worth it because I wasn't going to get her but I caved. My fiance got the last one on Walmart's website and she was on sale no less. But I haven't even looked at her yet because she is a Christmas present!
The poppy knees are everything! Plus, I love the cute face mold, the VHS box, the cassette doll stand...omg! This feeds my inner 80s girl...and yes, I was an 80s girl.
As someone who was in her 20s-30s in the Eighties, I think this Barbie is adorable!! I love the vintage touches, the box made to look like a VHS cassette and the stand looking like an audio cassette. (I still have the real things, BTW, LOL!) What a nostalgic trip into the past!
I might have to go back and collect this first wave, I found out today that this line of dolls has been discontinued which is a huge shame as I was hoping we would get 90s dolls.
It's kindof trippy to see the Shani headmold in a 1988-1989 style, because she didn't come out until 1991. Her face has been used maybe 10 times total since the Shani line ended circa 1994, that I'm aware of. I love to see it. Curious about what the rest of her body mold is, but with the legs like that, I kindof want her. The legwarmers remind me of some circa 1988-89 fashions, or like the accessories for Style Magic Barbie. Also that brush totally doesn't have as many tines as the originals, but at least the back of it looks the same. lol
Beautiful, adorable doll! And I love the articulation and rubber bendable legs 😊 They're so much better than those cheap, stiff-posed plastic legs. They make the doll stand with more stability since they're heavier and look much prettier.

I love this line, finally Mattel give us good quality Barbie dolls with the old gorgeous face molds and bend and snap legs, but i would preferred them with the old body with twist and turn waist, because the old face molds looks weird on the current articulated body, anyway i will buy the bussineswoman Barbie doll I wonder if they will make a 2000s inspired edition

I was excited for these Rewind dolls. And I love the other two, the Superstar and Steffie face sculpts were such a throwback and I love seeing them again. I grew up with 80s dolls so these are great. However, this doll didn't do it for me at all. I found her cheaper looking than the other two and I wish they'd used the 80s Christie sculpt. Her head looks too big for her body which is a common mistake they make now. I think her face sculpt is either Shani or Asha which are both 80s sculpts, only not as good. I hope you get the other two in this line!
Oh and I literally only found out about Simon's Collectables yesterday! :-o I was looking for the new Signature Looks dolls which haven't come out yet (they look amazing) and stumbled upon this shop. Such a great find for us UK collectors.

Back when I was a kid in the late 80's and early 90's my doll's snappy legs would always fall off at the groin. It was annoying because if they came off a lot they eventually would never stay on. lol It kinda sucked.
I just bought the Barbie rewind slumber party doll And she is absolutely gorgeous, too. The only thing, that is really disappointing is, that her hair is absolutely soaked in glue. The curls feel like hard plastic. Does anybody know, if it’s possible to wash this out, without the hair being an absolutely mess afterwards?
