A true Barbie collector classic, with all around 80s vibes and aesthetics!

"Suitcase bag" is actually a hat box. It's a thing of the past. Her white hat fits inside it perfectly.

I love this line! They are very nostalgic for me since i am a 80s kid. I like these last two dolls better than the 1st two. I love her outfit with the big hat. She reminds me of Day to Night Barbie, and I really like her face mold too.

Great review! The big "suitcase" is actually a hatbox to only carry hats. In old days women had to travel with big hats and they used those hatboxes so the hats didnt get smooshed 😉

Love the Shani commercial at the beginning. I believe they reused the Christie face sculpt of the 80's for Shani. The Asha and Nichelle face sculpt are still used to this day.

I love these dolls! They are so adorably 80s. I have a pretty tight Barbie budget so I haven't gotten any of them yet but, the school girl reminds me so much of middle school that I will probably get her. This one is so cute that she's a huge temptation too!

Great review! I love the way the designers appeal to different collectors. I was a MOD Barbie kid but I don’t collect the rewind dolls. I loved Francie as a kid but Bill Greening is my favourite designer as an adult. I think the LOOKS dolls are brilliant, far better than my dolls from childhood.

Does she smell like the 80s Barbies when you take her out the box ? That was a great smell. " New Doll", they should make spray for them. Best part of a new Barbie.
whahaha!! 😂💖 I know EXACTLY what you mean! but nope, didn’t have that smell! The smell of fabric, carton and vinyl, todays smell is more glue and plastic 🥲
I recently got the Barbie for President 2020 doll, and she came with similar blue tights, and they also seemed a little baggy in the feet.

This one is probably my least favourite in the line, but I love the line, so I still like her. As some others have said, maybe the outfit isn't recognizable as classic 80s as much as the previous ones. I also think I would have preferred the Christie mold, since Asha has been more common lately. I still think it's a nice look, and I may get her if she goes on sale. Right now she $72 Canadian on Amazon, and that is too much for me.

On Amazon Germany she just popped up today... and her price is 104,40 euros -what the heck??
I mean, I would totally want to get here, much more than the other one, but come on, 104 bucks is insanity, it really is.

I agree, the made to move legs and elbows just look odd and clunky.
The only thing I don’t care too much for is the hat. I just can’t picture a real person wearing such a flat hat. But I like the old style legs and the other joints. It also has a good color scheme.

I like this doll, but her overall design is bland in comparison to the other dolls in the line. I think she would have looked better in a brighter coloured dress and if they used a different fabric like velvet or lace.
I gotta agree, In the end she didn’t manage to conquer a spot on my shelves… maybe with brighter colors she would have, so better look for a cute fashion avenue pack! 😌💖
I got the first wave of the rewind dolls! Love them they are on point! 😊 Don’t like the second wave at all. Not getting 80’s vibe. The hat is definitely not 80’s and black dress definitely not 80’s color unless you are a goth. Would have rather seen Barbie and Rockers repro IMO. Hard pass on these two. They need neon colors and Lycra dresses, shorts and acid washed denim outfits 😊 Where are the rewind Ken’s??? Hair also needs to be bigger 😎

This particular doll is disappointing. i hate the way she is styled. That dress is so awful. .. and then those pearls!
The best things about this doll are the hat and the sunglasses.
The Rewind line doesn't hit my nostalgia button.
