She would have been perfect Barbie to take to the Barbie movie, I love her outfit, am a 80s kid and yes we did used to wear skirts like that. But I never had skirts that cute. lol

I bought the school and prom dolls and kept them in box. They have so many accessories so I was afraid I would lose them.

Back in the day, if we didn’t want to see a movie in the theatre, we’d say, “I’ll watch it when it comes out on DVD.” Is that even a thing anymore? Maybe I should say I’ll wait till the Barbie movie goes on streaming. 😂

I love the Rewind series, but as far as I know, it finished with the prom doll. Maybe they will do the 90s, though. I am not a completist, but I have every one of these, and they were a lot more expensive in Canada.
I have a question about the face mold that you would likely be able to answer: is there a difference between the old and new Kira? My only other Kira is the 2021 Holiday Barbie, and it seems that her face has deeper eye sockets. My Rewind Kira looks more play line, and her face also seems fuller. I still have mine in box so I can't check if the stamp on the head is still 1980. Would you be able to check that? Maybe it is just the screening and the way the head is positioned on mine, but I curious if they changed it to maybe allow for easier production.
Honestly, I'm not super knowledgeable about the Barbie head molds. I have heard that there are slight variations in the face molds for the collector dolls versus the play line versions of the same doll, (supposedly the Collector versions having more sculpted detail, but the Playline versions having bugger heads and more flat eyes so wonky eye is not as noticeable) but I'm not a hundred percent sure about that.
@BarbiesGBF is a great channel to watch he is way more knowledgeable about these kind of things than I am.

I have the Barbie Rewind 80’s edition I’m not sure which one I have but she has on a white head with pink ribbon around the rim and she is wearing a fancy dress with hearts and pearls so she is amazing and my favorite I was born in the 80’s myself. So I claim myself to be both an 80’s and 90’s kid I was born in 85. I actually saved my box and carefully took the doll out since I am also an out of box collector ❤love your video and the Barbie you got 😊

i am curious to hear your thoughts about the Barbie movie.
i saw it online a few days ago, but i reserved seats at a theatre for Tuesday morning.
i enjoyed the first 15 or 20 minutes of the movie, but . .. in my opinion, it is NOT a keeper.
It isn't something that i would watch over and over, but it was fairly fun for a first view.
I’m going to get one for my gf for Xmas! Are the earrings removable?
