I will cover number 10, 11 and 12 who were recently released.
My absolute fav is Heide, the redhaired girl. But after seeing people straightening out her hair, I was just in love! 😍

I like Heide's curls, but not all at the back of her head the way were. You said it took a long time to get them completely straight, so I'm encouraged by the thought that I can keep looser long curls on her if I get her.

adding fabric softener into the boiling water helps the frizzy ends as well...I'm going to do that with the red head as well ! she looks great !

Thanks for the tip about using a boiling pot of water to further smooth out the hair. I never took boil wash that far, but I just tried it with a doll and dipping the hair into a big pot of boiling water repeatedly does smooth out the hair even more than just pouring boiling water over the head. However, I think this will only work with Saran hair. The other types of hair may frizz up even more.
Yeah You defenitely want to pick your battles when putting this method to use 😅💖

Thanks for the hair guide Arjen. I was able to straighten my Barbie Looks Heide dolls hair with a flat iron, and she turned out amazing. I even did the same thing for my Barbie Career Pet Photographer.

Loved their new looks! Such beautiful dolls, and I agree with you that for the price this is an excellent line for photography or to start a collection. You always do such a great job with their hairstyles! Have you ever thought of making a hairstyles only video demonstrating how to do various styles on our dolls? I just received my 3 within the last 3 weeks. I Love them and am happy to have them on my shelf. I haven't made them up or changed their outfits yet, but I did take Frida's (# 12 ) hairs down and she looks so much better with it down. She is my favorite of these 3.
Fryda def looks better with her hair down! 🥰💖 Also loved for this jeans look on her, so sexy!
to me personally, she is very reminiscent of Gia Karanji .. her face is very similar, only the figure is different. and I absolutely agree that with flowing hair she looks much better and becomes even more like Gia. and for me, since I really like Gia Karanji and in general a similar female type, she is also a favorite. And with a redhead, I only like hair, and when she has curls .. without them, in my opinion, she is no longer so interesting and loses her zest. and plus her face .. at first I liked it, but now I began to notice that it repels me .. there is something unpleasant in her eyes .. but these are my feelings. And I don't like afro doll at all. I don’t want to offend anyone, but she seems scary to me and this terrible make-up .. in short, she is an amateur.
I'm getting that redhead on Sunday. She's so beautiful! I love the makeovers you did on them also! The ginger haired one looks phenomenal with straight hair! With mine I intend on keeping her curls somewhat in tact, but not as poofy so I'll probably do one boil wash on her. :) Thanks for the tips! I've heard these work wonders on the dolls hair!

They are the made to move barbies and come with 2 fashions. I would love to see you with these dolls. Because you're absolutely amazing. Well, I do have the first one just because I think she’s Iconic.. but the rest didn’t really spark my interest to be honest. I think they’re overpriced and not really that collectible other than the fashions! Which I will eventually get on Ebay I think 😅💖

Cool channel bro first time watching but not my last. Just kind of starting my journey with barbie. Something I always wanted to do but I was more worried about what people would think of me. Threw out my old collection a year ago to only find out that this is my calling to collect, play, create and love dolls. So I started a new collection. I have a lot of catching up to do. So much to learn and so many great creators in the doll community.

It’s much faster if you use a steamer for the hair. I did it with the curly haired dolls and it works wonders. Thanks for sharing. They look fabulous. Wish they weren’t so make up heavy.

Love the simple approach! This is the only line of Mattel’s that gives us value and quality. So, so disappointed with some of the “collector” barbies (holiday barbie here’s looking at you) and praying that we will get Made to Move broad and slim Kens next. Tired of the Uber muscular Made to move kens.

Love what you did with all of them! Was surprised at how much I loved your styling of the curvy doll… I’m usually not smitten with styling on the curvy body generally, especially regarding the limited range of shoes, but you made her look very sexy! Where are the shoes from? I need to find these! 😍
I’m pleased the Looks line are all in simple packaging with simple fashions. Sort of a modern take on the original Barbies of the late 50s/early 60s. They’re designed to be taken out of the box, redressed, photographed and enjoyed 😊🙏

The shoes from the curvy girl are I think from either a tall fashionista or was it from a Barbie Style doll from 2012 .. 🤔

Now this collection is worth buying all the dolls are unique and with different body shapes and skin tones, we still need more kens in Looks wave. You did great looks on them again Arjen, have you tried using a thin tooth comb with the boil wash it works like a straightener and flattens and straightens the hair.

Well, they do not cost exactly 20 EUROS in Europe.......brrrrr😡. We will have to wait several months and even so. I`m still waiting for a decent price at Amazon on the short haired ones (Asian and blonde).....Cool inspiration. Basics are a dream....my favourite Ken of all times is that brunette in denim #16.
What I meant and said was 20$ (they are listed for 22 on the mattel creations website when they were available, the pop up on and off)

I love curly hair, but the red haired girl looks super gorgeous in straight hair. I'll give that look when I get my hands on her. Did you straighten her hair with a hair straightener though? Or just washed and conditioned?

But where did you find these dolls in Europa ? I'have looked for them for many weeks but I can't find them with a good price. They always cost over 40 ou 45 euros... Even on Amazon...
Same here, amazon germany does not even list them, only some private sellers on eBay sell them for a very high price.
Yeah I know, european amazon has ridiculous prices. Mine are from the mattel creations website when they were available
@@Barbination I ordered once on Mattel Creation website : a Ken looks and 2 barbiestyle. Shipping wasn't not very expansive. But, in France, there is a hudge taxe when products come from other countries out of EU. When I received my dolls, the postman asked me to pay 12 euros for the Ken looks and 26 euros per Barbiestyle for the taxes. So Mattel Creation website is also quite expansive in France... I hope these dolls will come in european stores for Christmas.

Naomi Campbell there doesn’t have Claudette’s face mould, she has her own brand spanking new face mould! All the dolls in this line so far do, I believe. And Naomi’s is called Simone, I think? Lol I can’t stop calling her Naomi. That might be the name I give to my copy of this doll. Mine arrived about a week ago, I’m so excited to have them!! They’re all amazing. Hmm, I think I prefer the ginger girl with curly hair, but I did buy two copies of her because I wanted to try her with straight hair :D Will try it out at some stage.

Bill Greening said on Instagram(?) that the Looks dolls are all unique face sculpts. #10 is quite similar to Claudette tho. I can’t wait for mine to arrive. I’ve ordered 2 of #10 and the second will be a body donor for the Rainbow Bright fashionista. They’re taking ages to arrive in the uk and I’m blaming brexit!

Where did you get them? In Germany we can’t even get all the series 2 dolls. Nowhere! And 20 dollars? In Europe they are usually 30 - 40 €. 🤔
In Australia we either have them at Myer for $79.99, or non chain private toy stores for $99 😑 and at this stage only up to series 2 and very scarce
They were available at the mattel creations website.. last time I checked they only had Fryda tho… 🤔

They are dutch brands: Andrelon, well I think they are dutch btw 😅 haha but it also varies.. it’s whatever’s available so not a particular one that works best or anything😅

May I ask where you have purchased them, for only 20 Euros?
I am having a hard time even finding them anywhere online, let alone in any store.
When they were available at Mattel Creation website they were $22, europe is just horrible I know, amazon has crazy prices for them now, but they will drop.. they just don’t have enough coming in stock is my guess 🤔

I wish Mattel would come clean and inform us about possible shipping problems and/or problems in production; We know that China had a severe lockdown just lately. Its just too obvious there is something wrong.
Mattel knows they have customers worldwide, who are subject to their online marketing! They deserve more honesty and a little more transparency about the availability of their products. This is only fair.
