Is there any reasonable plan in Germany for foreigners without address in Germany for short term, but long haul trips? Something without contract or with contract that you can pre-pay only for a month and then cancel? Prices with WeCharge Free are insane, trip would cost 50% more then with Toyota HEV (petrol 6.5-7 L / 100 km at 130-140 km /h).

@@typxxilps What price would you propose for hyperfast charging?
You're paying for the convenience of charging speed and the locations etc.
You won't charge 150 to 300 kW at home. If you're lucky then 11 kW on 3-phase AC.
Here in Ireland charging at 150 kW on the "national" charging network (run by semi-state electricy utility company akin to German EON) costs €0.62. And there's 1 to 2 chargers at a site max. Ionity has 4 to 6 per site so you never queue.
Tesla Superchargers cost about €0.60 too.

I always thought these chargers sell electricity at self cost.. It really doesnt make sense for someone driving 10k-20k a year to buy a electric vehicle.. you are better off buying cheapest diesel that has consumption of 4-5l per 100km
Only reason why Im buying one is because of panels. And even then I will save only around 2k Eur a year on petrol when Im driving 30k a year if I wouldnt have it for free the cost for juice is almost the same.

    Hi Chris,
I like this kind of tests more than other travel tests. I think more EV testers should make long distance trips using the in car navigation to evaluate actual travel times. Because some cars are very efficient and charge fast but if you use navigation it takes wrong decisions cancelling the effect of the fast charging.
Consumers will use in car navigation so very nice real life test.

    Hello, people from VW:
    1. I would like specify my preferences regarding charging stop duration. I personally prefer to stop more often, but for shorter periods of time, for example 15 mins every 90-120 minutes.
    2. You should really learn what is the driver's usuall driving style, or give the option to the user to decide. For example, what is the speed on highway. You should have all the data necessary.
    3. There could be an option - "i need a pee break in about 30-60 mins", that would adjust to it. There should be no pee breaks without charging :)
    Keep improving!

@Battery Life ... Also 67 kWh auf 554 km ?? ...
