- I try to leave the amazing Chobe National Park in the dark. A lioness blocked me the road for half an hour and the gate was about to close. I was so stressed of being stuck in the park and not being able to reach Kasane on time.
The following day, I'm crossing my very first African border alone and it's definitely a challenging process. Many fixers, officials, and conman keep whistling and calling me so they can 'show me the way', in exchange of a certain amount of money (illegal).
I made it into Zambia after 2.5 hours at the border. Zambia is one of the poorest countries in Africa and this country is already making a huge impact on the solo expedition and on my life.

Oh yes…that Zambia overland is going to be fun!!!! Haha It’s a compulsory insurance for the car that they ask you to pay at the border
