- I'm leaving my peaceful corner in Siavonga and hit the road again, towards the Lower Zambezi National Park. I obviously stop by my African ladies on the road to buy some fresh fruits and veggies. It's always time to meet the locals. Zambian people are incredibly kind! I love to spend time with my African sisters. I continue driving, on these hectic but so beautiful roads of Zambia! I fill up the tank because Rafiki, my Toyota Hilux, is thirsty after this week off! I'm getting lost again and always. My GPS is getting crazy sometimes but it's always for the best: I end up discovering beautiful places and souls. This nomad life is seducing me so much now. Zambia is so colourful and alive, it brings me so much joy in my heart. I'm approaching the Lower Zambezi National Park now. And hopefully, I will have tones of stories to tell you in the next episode!

I had the exact the same feeling when i spent so much time and money on my car for overlanding - thought what the hell am I doing - but then that first trip, being remote with nature, completely self-sustainable, im hooked!! Great stuff p.s I havent quit my job (yet!)

Petrol stations employ people to fill your vehicle, it's another way to create employment in Africa. There have been talks about self-service fuel stations but too many people would lose their jobs, so don't feel bad about having someone fill your petrol tank, rejoice that they have a job, and maybe you don't know but it's customary to tip the petrol attendant for his service to you.
Haha yes I know all that obviously: job + tip.
