- The solo overland expedition across Africa is now bringing me to the Republic of Uganda! It's going to be the 6th country of the adventure and I'm impatient to discover this land of Eastern Africa with Rafiki, my Toyota Hilux! The roads are already rough , muddy, and challenging overlall! Luckily, Rafiki is well equipped to face all terrains of Uganda. I don't know anything about this unique African country and what I'm about to live is going to be unforgettable although unexpected......The only question is: are you ready to follow me on that one?

Ah, the food! It gets you every time you aren’t at a decent place or restaurant and one can’t pack enough self-cooked food on a journey like yours. It is a good but dangerous way to lose undesired weight! I appreciate watching the scenery and compare it to other African lands. Me too this dollar exchange business can be very frustrating, I had several hundred dollars given to me by a friend when I tried to change in Laos a few months ago. Now I have found a exchange shop, part of a gold shop, where I can buy crisp new bills, also the border crossing 40$ visa must be paid in new notes.
That is so good to know in advance indeed! Sometimes it gets very confusing but most of the time it’s all good at the end with the help of the people around🙏🏽

Not sure if you will like France again after all that weather and the freedom to drive somewhere and not to be seen at all. Alone with nature is the best thing in the world. Sometimes I just want to pack my stuff and leave. All these obligations to be like and do like everyone else ... work, holiday until you retire and eventually leave this planet, there is more to it and you are doing that. Thanks for at least showing us that. Dare to stay different, laugh when everyone else seems to take things way to serious when you can do things in a fun way. You have stayed yourself the whole trip and showed us how to do it.

More beautiful than Rwanda. Its a pity about the DRC conflict which has more to do with natural resources. Why that conflict does not attract the same interest for media is strange. There was once an organisation named "executive outcomes " that used to specialise in creating mayhem on behalf of big governments and mining companies.
Media are not interested in Africa……it’s a shame. Or when they interested in they tell and spread bullshit about the continent.. too bad. Your message is very interesting, never heard of that company, will look out😊
I always tell travellers coming to Africa to watch out where they eat, most especially, in roadside makeshift restaurants. That is because some of them are not hygienic. I advise to always scan for suspect in the environment before buying your food.

People who wash your car will appreciate the tip you give them way more than than the water you are saving. I know you're idealistic but a lot of these places have enough water. So don't feel guilty and let them was your car. They will appreciate that immensely.
