- We left Nakuru at exactly 12.44am and proceeded to southern bypass that led us to Mombasa road. We traversed several counties on A109 with little or no rain compared to western Kenya and reached our second stopover of my trip in Mtito Andei.We stopped briefly and proceeded with our journey with captain Mbithi on the controls. The day had already broken and we soaked in the beautiful sceneries along Tsavo national park.
At exactly 12pm my first sight of my final destination which Mombasa was now a reality . I alighted at Tahmeed booking office in Mwembe Tayari and thanked the two captains for the commendable work.

The timing ndiyo ilikuwa tricky, the time they were travelling all the other buses were way ahead and time they arrived at Mombasa is when they start travelling to upcountry. That is why the road was "dry"

Mombasa bound shuttles mostly enter voi town, few other companies are chanias,coast bus, Simba coach (need clarification)enter voi town
Maybe for the mombasa-nairobi vehicles but the highway ones don't
Coast bus has an office inside the town that's why it enters town.

When you made a stop-over there and complained about the toilets, the new ones were not yet constructed . I passed there few weeks later and it was when they were constructing them. I had decided not to use any bus that makes a stop over there but now that you have confirmed the structure is complete I have nothing to worry. Their food is not that great though, but they serve better fries compared to the other stops in MTITO. You influenced a change and that is why your content is great

So Tahmeed does not stop at "Rubis" in Mtito Andei. Instead inasinama kwa "Durusalam" which equally looks like a very nice place. I like the way "Abdikadir Abdirahim" the supervisor explained the foods on offer which had me salivating.

Departed at 5:38 PM from Mumias and arrived in MBA at 12:15 PM the following day! A whole 18 hours! What a long journey indeed! Thank you for these two episodes. I have enjoyed them indeed!

Those drivers are very slow on the road, that was a lot of time they wasted on the road
Its a rainy season better be careful on the road and arrive safe
That stretch from Nairobi to Mombasa was slow. 8h 45 mins. The Nyamira express bus did it in the same time going in the opposite direction and it is more hilly and also is a 260hp Isuzu FVR bus compared to this 360hp Scania F-series
