- In this episode, I am riding to the capital of Zambia: Lusaka. I am mainly going there because I need good internet, but also to look after my motorcycle 'Alaska'. My bike needs a local insurance, a good wash, fuel and some maintenance. While cruising around Lusaka to get everything done, I meet many locals along the way, showing me the real face of Zambia..

I am a 78 yo Dutch male. I followed Noraly from the start. But unfortunately, I suffered a stroke yesterday. Now I'm watching from a hospital , VieCuri , Venlo, Netherlands.
I still enjoyed the video very much. as usual
I'm 77 and have my own issues, so I feel for you. Get well quick! More Noraly coming...and the Dutch ladies 4x400 relay team!
Take heart man, quick recovery Ihope you regain your health, I am 24 with cardiac and eye problems from marfan syndrome, reaching 78 probably a dream for me, from Kenya.
Wishing you a quick recovery @hermandegroot1946 , Receive my love from Kenya. 🇰🇪
Beterschap Herman, Noraly's video's are a good medicine ;-)
Hou vol Herman! Sterkte kerel!
“I discover how the people of Zambia truly are” - Noraly the geologist is still finding gold…the gold in people that is. You can’t help but be left with a smile following episodes like these 😊 Thank you for showing us the good in humanity ❤
Absolutely, smile from beginning to end.
Well said.
Good choice of words!!
We are a peaceful nation 🇿🇲
They all feel the love from the hundreds of people getting to know them via RUclips!
A guy casually walks in and gives Noraly a fist bump. Says he watches her on RUclips and then just walks off. It's really nice interaction. So cool 😊
Yes, he was respectful, lovely to see
Came here to say this! That was really cool. There was a guy in an episode when she was in the US who recognized her, and came off creepy. This guy today was cool and respectful. I’d pee my pants from excitement if I ran into the mighty Noraly in the wild!
Pure class and respect.
I'm Zambian and that's how we roll
@@ceriedwards3 And he also replied to you....does this make me more respectful??am turned on with the love the comment section is showing me😉🙂🤗
I can't believe the fact that i bumped hands with Noraly❤....You really made my day though i didn't show it up coz i knew you wanted to head to ur destination early...i really love your content and strength u show that even us fellow men can't do driving Solo in almost every country...My name is Henry and i appreciate your kindness you show to us Africans.....It was nice meeting you😊❤
Are you the one who gave her a fist bump in the video?
the chance of that was 1 in a million. considering the distance. congratulations
Henry..that was an awesome day! I’m happy for you and it’s good to see your comment on here!
Awesome Henry. You are the envy of many! Very respectful of you to not want to delay Noraly. Appreciate the kindness Africans have shown Noraly. Peace!
It was great to “meet” you, Henry! Thanks for saying hi to Noraly and making her welcome….and what an amazing chance meeting for you. All the best from New Zealand.
Finally am proud to be a Zambian youth we are peaceful and loving people...
Seeing the youth in Lusaka doing business even under the sun, this is a good sign for the future of a country. More people working and doing business will surely enrich the economy of a country. Congratulations Zambia.
Love Zambian people ❤
Respect from Angola
Yes, you really can be proud. The Zambian people in the video are so friendly and peaceful. And I really like this certain kind of humour. I hope I can visit this place some day.
You are a fantastic smiling people . Respect from France
Zambia is the favourite country of my wife and I: our times in your country are treasured memories.
Thank you for visiting Zambia 🇿🇲 my home 🏠 one of the most peaceful country in Africa
I entirely agree...Zambia and it's people are so so good...Am Ugandan but if I was asked which other nationality I should take on, Zambia would be top on my list... Watching and following from Kampala Uganda East Africa
@@256ugkalix3 I went to Kampala many years ago from the UK. I loved it and hope to return one day again. Hi from the other side of the world :)
I really love to see that good people live everywhere!
Totally true! Zambia is wonderful and welcoming county. The people here are amazing, kind, and always so helpful! 🥰🤩🤗
I love it so much❤ I have to go!!
Zambians are the most friendliest African people!!! Why I know this? Because I was in Zambia for 35yrs!

Yes we do!!❤️🤭
We're a very welcoming nation ,you can stop anyone on the street for directions and they'll gladly help you or point you the next the person that can help you
Lemme know when you arrive in Zambia. I'll be your tourguide😊
Go there nd u I'll hate crossing border to another country nd it's a hell for foreigners
That’s short clip of you pulling over and helping the person in the wheelchair tells me everything about you - you’re a rare gem Noraly.
Yes, she really is!!
You know you are famous when some random guy in Zambia recognizes you from You Tube.
😂 That is the „Mother-Of-Beeing-Famous“
Very true
And then that same guy replies to ur comment🤗😎
Zambian people are really the friendliest folks on your videos. My goodness, they are cool and they know it.
It brought tears to my eyes when Itchy Boots pulled over to give a donation to the little person in the wheelchair @ 14.54 🇬🇧🇿🇲
No question. That‘s by far the best way to spend 22 minutes in front of the screen!
This has to be my favorite episode so far lol. All the people were amazing

The people of Zambia are one of the friendliest you will come across ...I have fond memories of living in Lusaka for 22 yrs...Travel safe Noraly
Your videos are a ray of sunshine in the grey world.
So true ❤❤
You know, I was just thinking a few minutes ago, Noraly's videos are proof that the world is not as grey as the media present.
I always believed that Africa is a dark and dangerous place, but look at it, it's lush, and bright, and the people are wonderful. After seeing Noraly's travels, I think that Africa is a very special place. Yes, a ray of sunshine :)
Yes her videos makes you forget about the shit that’s going on around the world 🌍 And I think her for that 👏
Corrupt authorities seems to be the major problem in whole africa
How respectful was the guy who came up to say he watches.
A quick fist bump and on his way.
Awesome happy respectful people every where you look.
Anyone else noticing how beautiful and clean Lusaka is? Resembles South American cities more than Africa.
It's got some places that are clean and some that are dirty.
Yes, Africa is clean. And what people call dirt in most cases its us making organic soil and compost.
Having said that Every country has some dirt.
U r dreaming while sited where is cleaness
zambia is on my bucket list.... see yalls soon from Botswana
You're welcome😊
Oh, Zambians are heart warmily nice! They make Arica proud!

Thanks
Welcome to Lusaka Zambia, the land of peace and joy! 🎉
I am not Zambian, but I can echo your sentiments. Zambia is indeed a pleasant country to visit. Warm people, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, and so on. Admittedly, I have not visited the country side, but I believe it's equally nice there.
Such lovely people judging from the clip.
I honestly never knew there were bike wash places until I started to watch these series. Zambia looks like a beautiful and friendly place.
We are!!😊
Zambia is a beautiful country and good nice people land. Respectful love from Pakistan ❤. Love you African people.
Zambia looks like a lovely country with such happy people.😊
The city looks remarkably well kept and modern...nice!
Wow Noraly's spare parts bag looks like my garage junk drawer...lol.
The guy on the wheel chair ♿ is known as big Moze . Thanks for the help rendered to him enjoy your journey in Zambia 🇿🇲
It was wonderful to see you Noraly here in Zambia! I'm a retired Canadian from Calgary, Alberta. I'm now living here in Zambia. I recognised everywhere you have been so far. I live in Kabwe, 2 hours north of Lusaka. Everyone in Zambia is friendly and welcoming as you have found out. I wish you a safe and enjoyable journey through my adopted country. As a long time subscriber, I'm with you in spirit always! 😊🤩😃
Broken Hill..!!
That's what they called it when I was growing up in Zambia in the 50's.!!
@@normanboxshall-smith9157 Well, it's still very much the same here today! Zambians remind me so much of Canadian people. Friendly and out going! 🤗🤩😺
What brought you to Zambia?
Hello, I have always wanted to 'See' Africa since I was young boy, so when I retired I decided to visit and have been here 7 tears total and visited 9 countries here so far. I beautiful and the people are amazing! @@rrg2248
I also live in Highridge, Kabwe,
Zambia is a lovely country, and the people are amazing, even in very difficult circumstances they shine through.
Loving how friendly everyone is. Gotta love Zambia.
Thankyou for loving my country ❤️
Without Itchy boots I would never have known how wonderful Africans are and how clean Africa is.
When you are positive u attract positive don't let some media outlets mislead u ... welcome to Kenya Africa
That's the fault of your own ignorance. Most people who have experienced and love Africa, have never heard of Itchy Boots.
I’m so glad for you - I went to Kenya and loved it - I hope you get to travel some of Noraly’s journey.
Because all they show about Africa are flies and dirt. Its just like how some States in America are so dirty and full all filth but we are always shown the glittery of Hollywood.
Yes, I couldn't agree more. Noraly has shown me how happier people seem to be elsewhere in the world. Is it the lovely sunshine, or not being surveilled and under the cosh of the European world? Who knows but all the very very best to her and all those that smile upon her!
I live in South Africa 🇿🇦 but I'm really impressed how neat and clean Zambia is ...not to mention how friendly and polite the citizens are ...
You no panic mechanic Noraly, you have plenty spares and the correct tools ...
Im from Botswana and have never met a Zambian that is not funny. Those guys have jokes for Days…😂😂😂😂😂
I see you
😅says a guy from swana land 😂we like you too
I remember why i started watching Noraly. It's not just the great views and adventure. It's the humanity of random strangers. Zambians seem sooooo cool.
Noraly is a fantastic woman. She manages to get through the most difficult, dangerous and unexpected situations, always with a smile and good humour. Her attitude should serve as an example to many people on how to face life with its ups and downs.
May God protect you Noraly. And may you continue to delight us with your magnificent journeys.
Ten times better than any UN ambassador, yes I know I said before.
Love the street vendors, all so chatty and curious about you, not too many European women on bikes around there I think, yes very friendly.😊😊😊😊
And a very good mechanic when needed…!! Bravo.!!
Noraly. I see you using tools. Are you ambidextrous? Or can you use tools in either hand without being fully ambidextrous?
Several members of my family use some tools in either hand, but are basically right handed (I am one). Although at work one time I was caught writing left-handed on a white board. After having been asked, I could not do it. Was basically so engrossed that I did not know what I was doing.
Thank you for your trips.
I lived there for 11 years and loved every minute, they are lovely people. Thanks for sharing Lusaka has really changed. Enjoy xxx Take care
I was in an über today in the US and my driver was from Sierra Leone and watches Itchy Boots! We had so much fun talking about your journeys, how much admiration we have, and how brave you are!
Thank you for visiting zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲
Noraly, when you interact with the locals you put a large smile on my face. Loved when the guy gave you a fist bump and said he watches your videos!

Noraly, seriously, you are absolutely a wonderful, compassionate person! You're so kind to others and I think you're known by people all over the world because of your channel! Thank you for doing what you can to make this a better world. Take care!
Those street vendors were so kind, curious, and humble. Incredible.
Zambia looks amazing. Being from Scotland, Africa seems like another world away, but it would be great to visit someday.
You should visit it’s a lovely Continent
@@tosanmejebi158nothing lovely about the continent apart from it natural endowment. Political barons have destroyed the continent leaving the young population in frustration with the only hope of crossing the Atlantic for the so called greener pastures
That will be nice to visit Zambia
Ewan McGregor once did a bike trip from your country to South Africa through Zambia. The Long Way Down it was called
I reside in the US.. It’s so nice to see so many kind people everywhere Norally travels. It is so refreshing to watch her travel the world.
Zambia 🇿🇲 is probably the country with the nicest friendly people.proud Zambian😊
I have been to Zambia many times for business and found the people there great to work with, friendly, well educated, feet on the ground and honest. Also Noraly is becoming quite adept at maintaining her bike. A lady of many talents!
Welcome to Zambia where people are friendly by default! 😃 Love your videos.
So much thanks for showing us beautiful Africa, I am from your hometown and have never been in these countries. This is like being in front row and learning about the beauty of this continent. We see to much misery only here on the news from Africa and I have to admit that my view on Africa is completely biased and now being adjusted thanks to this channel. There is a lot we can learn from Africans here in the west. Many many thanks and keep on riding!!
Right on - Well said! Peace!
I remember when I visited zambie.I felt very sad when I was leaving.
The love I felt when I was dead It's unforgettable. They are so intelligent the education level❤❤
I love the "small parts bag". Just seeing it makes me feel safe.

I just go through all your episodes and enjoy them
Just love your pov through the world and your energy

So inspiring!
I spent 2 years watching all her episodes....
All of them in few days?
Itchy Boots is highly addictive. I found the channel back in season 5. I remember thinking to myself, "I'll watch a few episodes before going to bed." Three hours later, "Okay, just a few more." Two hours later...
I so admire your bravery to go to so many countries, especially in Africa and South America, you show us countries we will probably never get to! Thank you!
I am always amazed at the car-washers - so thorough, so attentive.
What a successful chore day this was and filled with beautiful, charming Zambians. I am very impressed with all your spare parts! I can’t believe I just noticed that your windshield got trimmed into a “shape”, so it doesn’t even look broken anymore. I loved today!
Zambia is one of the beautiful countries in Africa hope you enjoy there 🎉 glad u made it

Wow. Zambia is one of the developing country in Africa. Great job guys!
Wow. You are a superwoman. Ride around the world alone, and after that, rebuild your bike with one hand while filming with the other. You go girl.
I know these maintanance/errand videos aren't your favorites Noraly, but I really like them. Why you ask? Well seeing some of the more mundane day to day "behind the scenes" stuff makes me feel more connected to you and your yourney. Now don't get me wrong, I really, really love watching you navigate narrow scary mountain passes or rallying across deserts at top speed, but variety is the spice of life you know... Stay safe. 😍
Noraly, I have also travelled through western, southern and eastern Africa in the early 90's (but not by bike) and your videos bring all my memories flooding back. Africa changed my life and you really make me feel like I was back there. I now wish I never listened to my father about learning to ride a motor bike, the locations you can travel to. What a journey, congratulations to you and thank you for reinforcing what I have kept on saying for years, Africans are the most joyous people.
NORALY I am blessed to be a part of this RUclips channel! I sent my positive energy from Greece! I also wanted to mention that the air filter that you use is from the greek company DNA filters 😊🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
Another gem of a video thank you. Worth noting another ground breaking Dutch woman lived in Ndola, Zambia in the 60’s who was a leading expert in Leprosy. She lived alone and actually helped deliver my brother and sister as she loved next door and worked with my Dad. She really was an amazing character and made such a positive difference to many many people.
What was her name?
Dr. Tini Inkamp. I’ve tried googling for information and sadly cannot find anything. She really was one remarkable woman.
