What a great idea!!...Thanks John for all of your wonderful tips and information! I'm learning more from you than any other source. Fantastic. thanks again!!!
Hi John, love solvy. Always got in my backings family. I do like using it on polo shirts & tee shirts as I found it does bring out the stitches beautifully. At the moment I do have 10 polo shirts to embroiderer for a golf team and will be putting t\solvy on top.
I absolutely love your Videos and information, after trying your Wilcom Trial version I am saving up to invest in it for my small business. Thank you for all you teach us.
Thank you! I have been very reluctant to using wss because I didn't want to have to wash an embroidered article. I am definitely going to try this! Great solution so now I will try wss for the first time! :)
Thank you sooo much for this info....have to get a tennis ball. Will save time and a cheaper water bill as I am one of those that runs my towels thru a rinse cycle to get rid of the WSS.
OMG that is so much better than my sponge. I take a sponge and put solvy on it - this is so much better since the tennis ball is hard you have more control. GREAT!
Incredible! Wow, so glad I found this video, and you. Will definitely be doing this tonight as I was trying to see if there were some good ideas out there, and here I found you! I definitely subbed.
Jutta Hanneman yes, over and over again. Just make sure when you use it to wet the area of the ball and rub a bit until it’s tacky, then it lifts off the exposed wss.
@@EmbroideryLegacy I tried this tip of yours and have a problem with it, i damped the balle and tried to apply the coatings but it doesnt stick to the ball, must the ball be very wet of hot water or what am i doing wrong? Here in South Africa it is called Aquafilm disapearing Laundry Bag and it dissolves in hot water
Jutta Hanneman getting the “ball” started is the most difficult part. For the first couple layers I’ll use a couple small sheets of the stabilizer, not just the scraps. Once the first couple layers is on then the scraps adhere much easier.
@@EmbroideryLegacy How do you store your tennis ball when not in use. I tried this and when i wasn't using i placed in zip lock bag (not a good idea because it molded
@@lynnemmons9250 oh no! I just put mine away by itself. You can simply set it on the shelf or where ever you'd like to store it. The ball will harden when dry.
I tried it, since every other tip i got from here worked like a charm, but this one is not working for me. Is it maybe that my solvi is a little bit thicker and the trick only works on super thin solvi?
Azn Mike solve is a brand name, I’ve found that similar products have the same results. Just be sure to make it tacky when adding layers or using it to remove the product. If it is too wet it will just make a mess.
Thanks so much for the clever tip! I’ve used Solvy with my hands but now I’ve got to get a tennis ball! Barbara in Colorado
Never heard this one before. This one is one of the best tips I will see if it works, but first have to get a tennis ball. Thank you

Just went through doing lace ornaments - this tip will work great!
Love this tip. It's similar to how I use a label that I peel off something to remove the remaining little pieces or glue. Thanks.

This is the best thing, have to try it! I use steam from an iron which allows me to scrape it off a lot easier w my nail.
I know it is a bit late but saw this yesterday and it is a great hint.

John, will this work on the sew and wash stabilizer also??
Who knew?!!
Great tip!
Glad you liked it Roberta!

Fabulous! Thank you!
Margie Sue you are most welcome :)
great tip
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
You're welcome, you're welcome, you're welcome ;) Enjoy Julie!
What is that hooping contraption on the right and left side of the table?
Excited
Great tip
can I use any kind of water soluble stabilizer or should I use one that says topper?
Thank you so much.....what a great tip! to the Dollar Store I go!!
Thanks for watching :)
Love it! How easy. I've saved scraps and now I know what to with them.
Perfect, you just need a tennis ball & you're set Martha :)

Awesome thanks for a great tip
Glad you enjoyed :)
Wow! What's the story, who came up with this and how? 😲
Can u reuse the covered tennis ball? Do u just reset it to use it again? Tu!
I do this too, but I save on water by letting my dog wet the ball for me.
Would this work on the thicker Ultra Solvy?
Love this tip! Thank you.
My pleasure Carol!
WIld! THANKS!
Ha how good is this tip. Must try
Would never have thought of using a tennis ball or adding the scraps to it too! What a great tip, will be trying it out!
There's always something new to learn :) Enjoy Kreeson!
Great video. Would you be able to create a video on using those hooping stations? :)
Hi Omar, we have a few videos ready and will be posting very soon :) Thanks for watching!
Will this work with the wash away fabric style stabilizer also, just did some blankets using that on the back and this would of come in handy.
Hi Leesa, This works specifically with the water-soluble topping, the backing is more of a fiber base and will not react the same way.
@@EmbroideryLegacy So do you have any tips on removing the backing? Other than washing in a washing machine, or soaking the whole item?
Thank you, who knew?
John, Thank you so much for the Solvy tip. I will use it tomorrow, just need to get tennis balls.
My pleasure Diane :) Enjoy!
Brilliant :)
Thanks Catherine
I tried it, since every other tip i got from here worked like a charm, but this one is not working for me. Is it maybe that my solvi is a little bit thicker and the trick only works on super thin solvi?
Thanks imma have to that🥰
for terry cloth towels.
Thank you Will definitely give this a try.
You're most welcome Totes
does this work with any kind of WSS or does it have to solvy? i really want this to work

Thanks for a neat tip. Appreciate it.
Sure thing Suri, glad you enjoyed it :) Thanks for watching!
How many layers, or how thick should I have the solvy??
I would start with 2-3, then keep adding everytime you have scraps :)
genius
love the idea but getting bits on there and getting it to stay without sticking to my fingers is a bit hard
This doesn't work for me for some reason. Do you need to wet the solvy you want to remove first?
