100% watched the whole video because I wanted to see a cat in its very own leather carrying case. The craftsmanship here is outstanding. Thank you for sharing.
More cats Plz, I have missed Spike for many years. Big Thumbs up to Making It. Have been a P Supporter since Ep 4. (Prev posted wanting to see more cats, and here it is!)
Man I was excited for or a second till I saw telegram as a link. I assume a fake Jimmy. No go cart track visit for me. :) Maybe it's the extra periods after the name or the capital J. Sigh.
My cat Zed bucket-trained me so I could carry him around. We would go rowing and I had to carry him down the dock past the fishermen and their dogs to our boat, reassuring the guys that, no it was not to be a one way trip for him. He’d retreat to it if he got too hot. He even taught me to catch him in it if he wanted to leave the house roof. Miss him every day.
Got called away while watching and came back to Jimmy making... Lincoln Logs??? Oh wait, they're handles. Great work, your hand cross stitching is really beautiful on this bag.
Army has canvas stitching kits at many surplus stores. My carpenters kit has the large needles and the leather hand strap used to push the needles through heavy materials.
2/12/23; great leather crafting 2day! ...but did not see little 😺 kittens snuggling up inside! ...Well, could always use this mighty fine bag to transport special beverages to/from your Mardi Gras parade or 🎉 party, aye?👍👍👍😊
You are an inspiration, Jimmy! I just picked up leather working recently and I’ll be uploading to my channel soon. I expect a lot of fails in the beginning but I suppose that’s the life of a maker. ❤️
Not fails honey...lessons on what Not to do next time and prototype for working on future ideas...have fun! I recommend you invest on apolstery needles and a good pair of strong needle nose pliers...when sewing through strong or thick materials the pliers make it easier to push/pull the needles...wax your needles and keep them sharp.
I’ve been a fan since the brownstone bird house and you’ve inspired me to have a go at many, many things I hadn’t done before. This one is yet another beauty Jimmy. Thanks for sharing.
Facts! I'm 19, from Birmingham, Alabama. When I was 12 I would build beds, forts, and such for my cats, and they would rather sleep on a news paper. 🤦☹
Your show makes my day, Jimmy! I guess you were off to make a second one then you can tote a cat in each hand, hehe Thanks for taking us through the process step-by-step. That bag is gonna last forever. I really like the handles, simple & stylish hUgz from Ohio, Lee
Some interesting techniques and clever solutions, even by your standards. I’ll be really interested for this one to drop on Patreon and hear you talk about the process.
There is a guy on a homestead in WV thats been putting his cat in a bucket every day. Nate from NarroWay Homestead! Cat had a tail injury from a coyote and hes been getting put in a bucket of warm water and epsom.
Espectacular trabajó maestro, gracias por compartir sus conocimientos y experiencias, un saludo cordial y por supuesto un merecido like desde Narón (Galicia)🔝🤓😜
@jimmydiresta Fantastic new build! Do you think you could speed production and give it an old school feel with leather drive belt staple binding? Perhaps replacing the steel rod that would usually bind the end with braided steel ropes?
Great build. Love your improvisation in getting something of an unusual shape made. Could be a best seller eh .. and give Gucci a run for the money ..lol

Jimmy, your videos with your pets in them are irresistible.
Very cool! I think the bucket could use a pair of magnets on the wooden handles. This way the handles could stay closed if needed.
I love the fact that you used a a sharpie clamped to a straightedge
Jimmy can check this one off his bucket list!
Jimmy, you have a healthy look about you. What ever you are doing keep it up! Nice video, thanks, Bill
the cat sitting in it was the best. awesome show.

Love the natural light shining on the bandsaw surface... comes in handy.
Never heard of a cat bucket. It’s pretty sweet man. ❤

I'm a surprised with how much work goes into joining leather together!
beautiful work as always, give Spike a kiss for me, he too is part of the legend: Jimmy Diresta
Jimmy finally gets a CAD system. Cardboard Aided Design.
13:15 always coat the bottom to protect it from the elements when you set it down. 💖🌞🌵😷
Jimmy knows materials!
I really like the way you drew the shape in the beginning! I'm stealing that idea in the future! 😎💪💪💪
Yup...my cat caught me watching this...she wants one!😁
Hello mister Jimmy Diresta beautifully done good job well done
Your must have an extensive bucket list
I love the way you used the square and a sharpie to mark a consistent height around the template.
I still miss Spike.
Finding inspiration is tough sometimes but you sure have a way of inspiring others.
Amazing, Jimmy! Really beautiful work! 😃
If the cats liked it, it's more than approved!

Very nice project. I love shade of the stain on the outside.
You buy or create for $10000 worth of stuff and they will only take the cardboard container you get something in.
the trick was to use the cardboard box to make the template for the leather - no more box to prefer.
Facts! I'm 19, from Birmingham, Alabama. When I was 12 I would build beds, forts, and such for my cats, and they would rather sleep on a news paper. 🤦☹
Whoa the cat got lucky! 💚
Your show makes my day, Jimmy!

So many awesome techniques. A masterclass in making 🙏
Jimmy's slowly turning into a cat lady, and I'm here for it.

Love all the custom/improvised tools.
Love it! So many uses and will last a lifetime!!!
The Rule of Cat states: If I fits, I sits. They're gonna love that!

Como se aprende con tu manera de trabajar, excelente Jimmy.
@jimmydiresta Fantastic new build! Do you think you could speed production and give it an old school feel with leather drive belt staple binding? Perhaps replacing the steel rod that would usually bind the end with braided steel ropes?
My cat has just witnessed proof of my inadequacy as a servant to him.

Very cool brother
“Cat bucket” definitely made me do a double take lol
Very very nice
I'm surprised Jimmy hasn't made a thimble yet considering all the leather working he seems to sew up
Brilliant
💜💜😍😍Cat end job
so cute
maybe I could attract a workshop cat, if I made something like this…. 😻
learning german, lesson 738:
"the cat is in the bucket" = "die katze ist im eimer", which also means "the cat is dead".
Awesome Jimmy!
Hey, where’s Spike? Stull around? Been lovin’ your vids for a longs time, keep em coming!
Hi from sunny SA😅
Did anyone else hear stewie saying mama as he was hammering the stitcher
Excellent work Mr. Diresta. I am curious though why you did not stain the bottom exterior for better protection.
well, it was a cat bucket for at least for a lil while> But you KNOW they'll be back. : )
That's better than coach!!!
I'd buy that! What a great carry-all. Tools to knitting to groceries. Iteration 1 is great... what is in store for iterations 2-10?!
My cat prefers boxes over buckets.
would a total boat farnish work on leather ( like inside )...? Inspiring one, gone try to make it.
