I've never understand why the chevy is classed a heavy duty. It's so different from the rest that it should be in more of a medium/utility class. If saber wanted they could add the International 4000 series and/or the freightliner M2 class to compliment the kodiak. Or even the Ford L series as they already have licensed vehicles from each brand
Licensing works on a vehicle to vehicle bases. They can't just use any vehicle from Ford. They can only use vehicles Ford allow. It gets even trickier as most vehicle companies have different divisions. Like Ford Europe is different to Ford USA. And although owned by Ford, ultimately Ford Europe doesn't "take orders" from the USA division.. they are separate bodies. It gets verrrrry complicated
The Kodiak is the only truck that I kept from the start of the game and still use even in the Yukon. I've learned the trick to off-road performance is putting more weight over the rear axle. Even in Alaska with only 2wd it performs well as long as weight is over the rear axle.
These things are complete beasts when upgraded and put in the right hands. The Zikz is great for pulling semi trailers. The C70 is great for delivering small loads. I also have a tendency to not equip spare tires if their brackets hang below the frame. They wreck ground clearance. One exception to this personal rule is if it's a truck like the Voron Grad which has a low hanging fuel tank in the same spot on the opposite side
Zikz is like a wild horse. Without cargo it can go everywhere - even climb mountains. I sometimes used Zikz as scout)) But yes, heavy duty is too heavy for him. When he failed pulling other truck from the swamp, I said - sorry, lad, nothing personal, just business, it`s time to say goodbye. But it was a very interesting experience full of joy and adventures.
I liked the way the chevy looked so I used it when I first got it. I had no upgrades and it was absolutely useless, could barley get through dirt, not mud, the most dirt road a dirt road can be, and it got suck with a trailer. In dirt. I regretted my session of even trying a mission with it.
The Kodiak certainly doesn't live up to its namesake in the terrain in the mud and swamp tests. But then, as far as I know, there's no vehicle that's a complete beast in every terrain.
Only reason chevy struggled early was because it's gas powered and aslo because there was no weight behind it on the rear axle to help push it down to give it more traction. wish they would come out with a mod to give all these medium duty trucks like the c70 and f750 diesel motors.
The Zikz has a good p2w ratio because of low weight. When heavy concrete added it affected the Zikz p2w more than the heavier Chevy as the chevy’s p2w was affected less with the same weight. Probs why Zikz didnt do well in high gear
I dont know why the Zikz likes to try to bury itself so much. Its certainly more capable than the Kodiak but every time I take it out it tries to bog down and you just look at it and wonder "how the hell are you managing to get stuck here".
I like your comparison! The fact is that in Snowrunner we have such powerfull truck that in the end we ignore any entry level truck And for these reason many times i am nostalgic of Mudrunner
I used and Kodiac a little in Michigan, but I use it more in other regions. I use it more for a kinda heavy recovery truck, (like flipping rolled trucks back over or helping them out of a bad situation) mainly because its the only other kinda heavy truck on the map or region that doesn't have a load or trailers on it. Though its other job is a crane tuck because I don't really have a dedicated truck for that besides the Kodiac. I also don't have the ZiKZ yet, though I probably should have it with how far I've progressed in the game.
I have the Azov for heavy loads and the Tayga for medium and small loads but I need a scout and was wondering if I should get the Kodiak or the Loadstar 1700.
Do shorter wheel base vechiles tow better than long wheel base vechiles in snowrunner and with different types of cargo. Also which trailers tow the best in any conditions. Would love to see this if possible!
@@SD1ONE I always kinda figured it's based on motor size but was just curious to see if there were other variables besides the upgradeable items on vechiles. 🤷♂️
You should do the 1500 vs the Apache both with the 5.2 engine upgrade an the same size mud tires ..let's see if more tires actually means anything lol if you already made a video I apologize for wasteing your time having to read this comment
Try using highway gear boxes on trucks with over A power to weight ratio. Especially if they have permanent diff locks as u don't need the low- and low+ gears that much.
I also thought that but after trying them on different maps I find that this logic does not apply to all trucks with diff and awd always on....It really depends on terrain
What's stupid is that by appearance the Kodiak looks like it would easily fit 47 inch tires... What gives lame game developers? I guess maybe you'll get it right eventually, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
i cant understand why they performed so crap in these tests ive had both these vehicles on every map and i didnt struggle half as bad as in this video with them yes they arnt the best trucks and are limited to what i found they can do i found that with them only having one rear axle pulling a heavy trailer caused them to wheelie and the zikz is front heavy with hard suspension at speeds it would flip over and take lots of damage the chevy has a high centre of gravity and will tip more with a full load on a flatbed the sideboards are positioned higher so the flatbed is the lesser of two evils
The zodiac doesn’t do well in mud because it highway truck and the Zikz is a Russian truck that is usually used off-roadies purposes for ur information
@@gavins.9254 When did i say im cool? And yes, i wasnt first but i was when i clicked on the video. And realised that im not first when i reloaded the video.
Basically there's no point in ever using either one for anything. I love the game but it's full of pointless vehicles that are just incapable of anything that's remotely challenging.

Yes
Genius of the year to this guy
I love SD1ONE, my favorite youtouber!!
Favorite part of the kodiak is its amazing approach angle
Why do you like it the tires is small the largest is 43inch
as someone that used the chevy because it was a truck i wanted to try, it does get stuck a lot lol
I like using it for small missions along with the fleetstar because I have a thing for the older trucks
So true

Ironically, GMC 9500 is better offroader than Chevy Kodiak despite on highway class.
One of the things I love about Snowrunner is the lowdown dirty swampy blues. This is some good blues.
Only legend... Literally legend know he is from India..

Tatarin except ice is overall good in all terrains
The conclusion makes sense: Chevy is a Heavy Duty Truck, like Fleetstar and White Wester Star but these ones are sooo, soooooo far ahead ....
I waited for this battle for so long good job
Both are quite good but I have to say that the Zikz has a tendency to flip, especially when it is loaded
I like its size but it does roll easy. I used it a lot for the metal detector.

The chevvy is better for predominantly road transport. Its more powerful than the zizk and much more stable and easy to control at speed.
I love the Chevy c70 in real life so can you do a video of all the attachments and upgrades you can get in the game
You gotta admit, that the C70 is one of the best lookin trucks of all time
Did anyone else notice that the Chevy preferred the winter proving grounds over the summer proving grounds.
I love Zikz cuz its a classical soviet truck we can see on roads
I like long log with the zikz! ❤❤❤
I love your vids keep making bro
The Kodiak with weight over its rear axle is an altogether different beast.
Chevy also seems to be able to support a loading crane with a flatbed.
The Zikz has a good p2w ratio because of low weight. When heavy concrete added it affected the Zikz p2w more than the heavier Chevy as the chevy’s p2w was affected less with the same weight.

Nice Video, how about Krs 58 Bandit VS Azov 5319?
Great content! been subbed since snowrunner came out and i wanted to know what trucks to buy.
first thing you wanna buy is azov 64131, it unlocks very early in game and even without upgrades it's a very solid truck
@@SD1ONE Bought that one two days ago! Idk bout you but i love the TUZ 420, I feel infinite power driving both the TUZ 420 and the AZOV 64131
ZiKZ is struggling in high gear because of the bigger tyres. It might have more torque, but the bigger tyre turns that to a smaller force.
Anniversary DLC has Mudtires for Zikz 5368
Hi, where did you get that test map?
Go to mod browser (IN GAME), select More, then boom.
I love kodiak
i need to get that game
Good ol days
Do shorter wheel base vechiles tow better than long wheel base vechiles in snowrunner and with different types of cargo. Also which trailers tow the best in any conditions. Would love to see this if possible!
The main thing that matter in towing is engine power...navistar for example has a big engine and it can tow anything

Also Chevy: *Honks*
How name music on 0:10?
Why oud2's? I thought the overall quality was better on the 3's
I believe 2 on most offroad tires is superior in mud, which is what most of these tests focus on.
How much money

Chevy won’t let you down
Chevy can have duble trailers but zikz not

And I'm playing through the game with the worst trucks, can anyone tell me the WORST trucks in the game?

Chevrolet Apache VS YAR 87
Pointless, yar is gonna kill Chevrolet
both are pretty much same but yar has better tires and chevy has slightly more pulling power
