So, thanks to a mining safety video, I’ve learned what with the fuel tank on the CAT. It is used in surface mines, like quarries. The tank itself is meant to hold water and spray the paths up and down the mine so there’s less dust. The developers simply wanted to add its second ability but with a Snowrunner purpose. What are you gonna do with a huge tank of water in Snowrunner? So that’s why the CAT 770g has a huge fuel tank addon.
You needed a mind safety video from the '80s to tell you that the big water tank wasn't filled with fuel in real life there's sprayers on the back of that thing a big hose it seems pretty obvious
@@cableyoutuber that's a stupid question a better question you should ask is do I think you have snowrunner because if you have snowrunner and you've seen the truck you would know instantly that there's only fuel in there for the game and in real life it's a water truck
I think the 770G might be a sleeper truck, it has potential to be good with what it is now but it's still just a big fuel truck and thats it, just gotta wait for modders to give it awd and a platform so it can do tasks then it'll be an absolute monster
You know what I’d love. If the exhaust could be redirected infront of the front tires to melt the snow. For example if your Plotinus through it. It might barley take any off but if your in low it could completely remove it
Good quality as always. May i suggest a pull test, like pulling a similar truck (according to the tested truck) out of a mud pit or seamp. It can be useful in a lot of scenarios.
Hey sd1one congratulations on hitting 500k sub I am very happy to see your channel is growing up you are the best RUclipsr who keeps all games alive and best channel than any one 😍😍😘
CAT 745C would win but if you put both together 770G can be used as a mobile fuel station... Making both look badass together. Is the use i would give.
I don't like the way the developers made smaller objects lighter. I guess this was done to make the trucks seem heavier, but there is no way that an air horn can tip an oil barrel over from several feet away.
The only thing i like about the twinsteer is that you can have the front end in deep shit and the back end on tarmac at the same time. I dont have the AWD DLC, maybe that will change my mind on the Twinsteer.
My biggest gripe with the twin steer even now that it has its AWD is how east it flips over. Its super rigid and has no cabin flex, so if your rear gets unaligned due to rocks or uneven terrain, its gonna flip whatever you do, even in places where you really wouldn't expect it to. It makes sense its that way, though. It doesn't even feel like a purposeful nerf, I'm pretty sure its a similar case for the IRL truck.
I'm kinda puzzles why they are giving us this extremely niche use cat truck. I'm gonna drive it for whatever that silly mission is. Then sell it and never see it again. Because it's just too big, and can't carry anything. It's just barely above useless.
Well it's not much different than the other heavy haulers really. Just a high saddle and a fuel add-on, no different than the P16 or the other big cat imo
The people who use the Western Star 6900 Twinsteer know the true potential of it, with Highrange gearbox, and the tire DLC, with the best tire in that DLC and in Highrange, it can fly across mud, and it would of probobly beeten all of the rounds. Am I right or am I right?
the tests were fuel consumption, speed, mud, mud, mud, deep water, trailers, mud, hill climb speed, mud, snow, and the stability bridge. of all of those the ones geared towards vehicles with bigger tires are mud, mud, mud, mud, mud, snow, deep water (7 out of 12 of the tests) the cat has 74" tires, the twin steer has 63" tires and about 4.5 feet less ground clearance the cat also would have made it through the water if the air intake was in the engine and not the top of the front diff, I know its there because the river starting damaging the truck when it touched the frame am I the only one who notice this unfairness to the western star this is NOT meant in any rude or harmful way
Great video as always, but could you clarify next time, if diff lock was on or off in certain situations? Sometimes I couldn't decide if the Twinsteer was just in low, or low + diff lock.

it's there but it's hidden..either use that protype unit scout trailer to scan area or simply refer maprunner website, it has location of all trucks, upgrades, etc
Sad to see a dlc vehicle barley winning the test tracks especially the " cat" that I always wanted when phrase 2 finally comes out but after seeing this" I don't know "🤔🤔
shouldn't you slow them down while bogged in mud or snow?? you're wheelspinning A LOT which causes them to go slower, mainly the twinsteer in this instance...
See the WS biggest flex (the length) is also it’s biggest enemy, it tips too easy on narrow roads and tight turns so really it’s hardly useful on some maps
No sense comparison. WS TS is one of the most powerful and good trucks in the game. CAT 770G is one of the worst and useless. But they have a different wheelspin. So you cannot compare that with the same gearbox. WS TS needs low gears many times to reduce wheelspin and then it's definitely unstoppable!! This type of test have no sense.

The battle of the thiccest and the longest boi
The CAT can last around 50 minutes? jeez that must be the longest truck range without a fuel tank addon.
That's a rough idea...I mean on a road it can but In offroad if it get stuck or something it'll cover way less distance and consume way more fuel
plus its kinda slow so it might take it 50 mins to reach a destination while a faster car could only use like 30 mins
But what about the azov 73,000 on road
It carries like 520 liters of fuel lol most fuel of any vehicle
the f750 can last for 1h 30m
With the addition of the new Free DLC, you should do a CAT battle between all the CAT's in the game. I know it's a boy unfair, but I like the idea!
the fact that the cat was doing that well without awd really surprises me

The best video idea so far
CAT 745C would win but if you put both together 770G can be used as a mobile fuel station... Making both look badass together.
Is the use i would give.
The mud pit test was pretty much unfair to the 770G... come to think of it, it's faster than any other truck on that test!
I don't like the way the developers made smaller objects lighter. I guess this was done to make the trucks seem heavier, but there is no way that an air horn can tip an oil barrel over from several feet away.
I like the big CAT rock truck but it really needs a high saddle, it’s only useful as a rescue vehicle or as a pusher for heavy loads :(
I think that WS would go noticeably faster in some mudpits in low+ with diff lock
the 770G is like the most delicate golden toilet brush. Yes, you can use it for something, but do you really need it? or want it even?
why cant we just get a damned dump bed for the cat 745c and the 772G instead of a stupid rock trailer?
yah...I was thinking same thing when I tested this vehicle

I expect the awd for the 770G will come in the next map.

I have a special purpose that needs fulfillment - a truck to remove trees completely. Would really love to have one for imandra missions.
maybe be coming in phase 3, cause you know Wisconsin is practically only trees.
CAT 770G and P16''s tire is cheating, it''s completely a "balance" to make a non-AWD vehicle capable.
How would you like your truck
We have *EXTRA THICC*

My experience with the twin steer is that it is a boat in water like it does really good in water
Why was the water so bright?
1:14 twinstreet. Hmm... I mean it is as long as 2 streets combined near my house and they ain’t short.
I thought is was called the twin steer but guess I was wrong
We need tug wars
Twinsteer is good for tasks and CAT is good for rescuing stuck vehicles because it weights 72 tons 🥴
You do know that once phase 2 comes out there will be a trailer add on for 770c. And it will only be available to 770c and only carry heavy Rock's.

I want to see the big CAT Vs. the other big CAT. I’m curious how they compare

If the choice was between Western Star Twinsteer and CAT 745G i would go with CAT.
Sorry, but how can one get that Cat truck? There is no such truck in my snowrunner.
now is the cat with mods a very good truck for heavy hauling
Why do you always change adds in certain tests? It doesn't follow the pattern from the beginning.
To this day, i am still thinking why the wheels on the 770G are flipped. (I don't think so)
The cat 770g needed AWD and at least a high trailer add on so much
Does the cat not have awd at all?
shouldn't you slow them down while bogged in mud or snow?? you're wheelspinning A LOT which causes them to go slower, mainly the twinsteer in this instance...
