Faultless video as usual Andy, stunning views, it’s got to be said out of all the MTB videographers on here you’re the best in my honest opinion mate, keep em coming Andy 👍
Hi Andy, did this ride a week after you posted it, really enjoyed it. We added a bit of a loop north of Kildale as well which took it to 33k. Thanks for posting. Doing you Hope circular one on Sunday :-)
David Conman a new mtb friend of mine lives in great ayton. So I’m going to be doing a lot more up that way north of Kildale. Great area. Enjoy hope valley. It’s brilliant.
I love this ride! Not done it for ages 🙂 There’s a bit up there that I could never do where you drop down a big rock slab. I’m pretty sure there’s a warning on it about it being tricky. I need to have another look up there. Great vids - loving the channel.
Seems like them tyres just destroyed anything that got in there way. Anyway nice to see on the North York Moors again. Really need to come and ride up hear again some, but I'll probably wait until summer for when the campsite are open, as it's a just over two hour drive from me.
Alan Broadbent plus bikes are great. They just charge through everything ,with been able to run the tyres at such low pressures. It just smooths out the trail
@@TrailFinder another question, is a Garmin 830 (touch screen) up to the job if I wanted to use it to follow a few of your rides. A few people have suggested the screen is too small for any serious MTB navigation. An alternative suggestion would be Viewranger app running genuine OS maps on a cheap phone. Any thoughts?? Cheers...
The 830 is a right bit of kit. And it’s not that small. It’s bigger than the 820 I’ve got. And my 820 is perfect for navigation. The 830 will work perfectly with my gpx files loaded onto it
_kxbx_ YT it’s this www.tweekscycles.com/uk/blackburn-outpost-corner-bag-camblboutcrn/?istCompanyId=56f52ebf-49f3-492a-9cbb-cb6ab0fc1bf0&istFeedId=33b89177-5114-4491-9c2a-09a3a7cb23b2&istItemId=iixmrpllt&istBid=t&gclid=Cj0KCQiAiNnuBRD3ARIsAM8KmlvO9Tl5aiCIEprYl24rDK7pL3fZsT8jPM9LJ0ZWgrvbUQJOltzWqTsaAniHEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Andrei Vălimăreanu for this particular video it’s the hero 7 black and just mounted on the chin guard on my full face helmet. I’m now using the hero 8.
These ones. I’m currently on my second pair since 2016. So they are pretty hard wearing. www.scott-sports.com/gb/en/product/scott-superstitious-lf-glove?article=2416930001005
Are the 2.8s that much different from your plus size tyres? I love my 650Bs ...especially on them rutty rocky trails (sound like a tank on tarmac) ...got me thinking now tho. Keep it up!
Aaron Grimmer the 2.8’s are plus tyres. What I did was make the bike none plus by putting on 2.6 (which don’t have the same volume) and are not classed as plus. Gone back to 2.8 plus and it’s so much better.
Hi pal, just come across your channel. Can I ask where you get your routes from for your Garmin? I have the 820 but not sure how to use it. Live in York but on ride at dalby, sutton bank or osmotherley your rides look good and wouldn't mind trying them out. Cheers.
I make all my routes my self. It’s pretty easy getting them onto the Garmin. There are lots of videos on how to do it. Don’t know if you have noticed. In the description on all my vids. There are gpx file links. So you can do all the rides I do. You just need to download them. And add them to your Garmin
Cheers, no I didn't notice, I'm not overly clever with technology lol, I will check it out and be certain to do some early next year when I get a new bike.
Hey there Andy I hope that your well dude, been watching your videos for a while and all pretty dam good tbh thanks, even stole some from your strava to ride myself, erm... Just wondering what your van set up is? Any chance doing a video? Cheers
Kev Horwood thanks Kev. I’m very pleased your enjoying watching. Nothing exciting to report about my van. It’s bare inside apart from a home made seat/bed in the back. But it’s perfect in the winter with the heater on getting changed after a ride.
@@TrailFinder hehe well im predominatly a roady just getting into mtb so looking for a break in the weather and and my riding partner to get his finger out

Thanks Sean. I appreciate the kind words
Trail-Finder no worries Andy 👍

try Cleveland Hills across from Kildale to Osmotherly, you could see the route when you got to the top of the road climb at the start of your ride
Thanks for the tip. I will take alook

Some nice singletrack there Andy. Conditions looked good
Lakedistrictrider you can’t best moors single track 😁 and conditions were perfect
Quality video, loving the local routes. Wondering what your favorite route
it?
Gus Hillary it’s a hard one gus as so many I’ve loved riding. But I got to say. The Lake District rides I do are my favourites
I'm another local Hgte rider, really enjoying the vids; do you use Kamoot to plan the rides?
Adam Bonson no I use osmaps to plan and Strava route planner to build the route

Stunning route Mate. 👍
Mark Collingwood I enjoyed this one. Can’t beat moorland single track

Looks like another excellent ride and good effort on those climbs! Do you reckon this is currently ride-able with all rain we've had?
David Conman another all weather ride. I don’t tend to do boggy rides if I can help it David.
Good to know, thanks Andy.
Hi Andy. What action camera and what mount are you using?
Great ride, again! Cheers

Random question, but what gloves are you wearing? I had some hummvee ones but they bloody fell apart so looking for some replacements!

@@TrailFinder Sorry, must of misheard you. Cool! I used to have 2.4 nobbys on my old bike. For moorland riding i would suggest plus size any day!

White Rose Adventures I’m having fun on the moors at the moment
really need to give some of your rides a go really want to do your pen-y-ghen route
