The Mysterio Illusion Battles were in my opinion the BEST Battles in the movie.

@@ErkFX Actually Captain Marvel is one of the only movies where they seem to avoid calling him Nick. And even in that Movie Carol calls him Nicholas afterwards. He's called Nick only half as often as he's called Fury across the whole MCU. And there's not much reason that the Skrull would have the Carol pager, but that could well be retconned.

Anyone else think that the scene near the end when Peter was asking for clarity about where the relationship between Aunt May and Happy was going was thrown in by the writers as a sort of an easter egg with May representing Sony and Happy Marvel and with them having totally different ideas of what their relationship was and its future? Sort of a commentary on the future of the franchise?

I think Stark knew that Peter might make a mistake. So he made sure that no one not even Peter can truly relinquish Peter's access to EDITH.

Honestly the illusions myserio made (comic pulled) on spiderman, creating a freakish nightmare was honestly incredible. Bravo!
That was such a scary part of the movie. Poor Peter didn't know what was real and what wasn't. And the worst was when thought it was over, it still wasn't! And then he got hit by a train!

Stark knew Peter would be hesitant about taking his inheritance, so he programmed his AI with Peters bio-metrics being the admin login used to override anything connected, just like Stark could do with specific gestures with his suits and other various tech. Stark essentially replaced his admin capabilities to Peters Bios.

This is probably my favorite Marvel movie at the moment. I really feel that Mysterio was such an interesting character, and arguably takes number one for comic movie villains imo. So in depth, mysterious, sleezy, and witty.

@Tyrell Films I'd hope they do introduce a leader of sorts like Osborn or Doc Oc or another prominent villain like Kraven, but there's rumors that Sony is already developing Kraven, And multiple times there's been reports that Marvel Studios and their spiderman writers only want to use spidey villains that haven't been seen on the big screen yet. Again only time will tell who they use or if they even do plan to do a sinister six in the MCU.

the surfboard reference could also be a throwback to the first people that Talos and entourage impersonated which were surfers in the Captain Marvel film. I think Happy was in on them being Skrulls which is how he knew to make that reference.

I think the EDITH applying to Mysterio and the fact that the glasses going back to Peter so easily is a bit of a stretch. Tony coded the glasses to Peter, kind of putting a backdoor on them, it seems convenient, but it makes sense that Tony would allow Peter to reacquire the glasses, because Tony probably figured he’d mess up cuz he’s just a kid.

@Tyrell Films Um, no. A handful of people close to him have called him Nick. Maria Hill, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark & Natasha Romanoff.
Alexander Pierce, head of HYDRA, also called Fury "Nick" since they were both S.H.I.E.L.D. higher ups, and he obviously wasn't a Skrull (Skrulls revert back to base form if they get killed while in disguise).
I loved how this movie was executed, great villain with a backstory that connects everything together, with one of the best fight scenes in the MCU with his projections

Quentin Beck is dead. If beck was a hologram Peter would NOT have been able to physically grab Beck's gun.
And about EDITH, Peter gave Beck user access. Peter still has administrative access.
Just because the gun was real doesn't mean the wound in Beck was real. Good point about the edith access though
@@Getwright- He physically grabbed his wrist and held it in the air, the gun physically dropped on the floor, and he snatched the glasses off his face. That was definitely the real Beck.

When he mentioned E.D.I.T.H. being rigged I realized that when Peter asked if the illusions were down E.D.I.T.H. could have been rigged to say that they were, so mysterio could still be alive
I don't think it was EDITH that was rigged. Because EDITH only said that all the drones were turned off not the illusions. Beck still has his original projectors and they were not part of Stark's drones. Beck is still alive.
EDITH specifically said all the illusions were down. Peter asked the same.
