This talk helped me SO much! Little by little instead of being so overwhelmed by the bigger picture. Thank you!

Elder Dunn just quoted from James Clear's book, Atomic Habits.... That's what I'm reading right now! So cool!

As a process improvement subject matter expert, I had the privelege to learn and understand the value of it in corporate constructs. For decades, I recognized that this is a core competency that has been cultivated into my own personal practce too. Like any habit to learn or unlearn, we must focus on the 1% "Myriad of betterments" or small steady improvements with persistent and patience. In time, the blessings of level up awareness makes it all more rewarding.

I go in circles a lot because I lump all the things together that I need to "finish." So today, I made a list of 1% of each of those jobs and completed all but one. I feel like I accomplished everything needed today. Tomorrow I will make another list, but tonight, a movie!

Such a great inspirational talk. Focusing on small gains and being patient 1% at time yields 37 times improvement over a year. Small and simple means, great things come to pass. I am an avid cyclists too! 🙂

So taking a step at a time in our mortal life and self-improvement will make it more meaningful and manageable.

I love this talk. Thank you so much. I felt like it was written and gave for me ❤. I love the reminder that improvement does not have to be an overnight miracle but a daily, incremental, steady, simple, manageable, pursuit that will ultimately make weak things become strong unto us and out of small things great things shall come to pass. Additionally, patience with ourselves and others when we make mistakes or fall out of habit. We get up and keep going. Keep trying.
    Beautiful

By the power of the spirit our eyes have been opened and our understanding has been enlightened to see and understand the things of God-making small and steady improvements and not just fading away, from the covenant path.

I loved this talk and I came back to listen to it again afterward. Such a brilliant and obvious and simple approach.
The implied moral judgement of both Mother Teresa and Attila the Hun does bother me a little, though 🤣. Still, much good to be had here.

Please listen carefully. An angel does good things or not? He cannot serve god and mammon. Do angels follow the ten commandments?
Is their morality based on good things done compared to bad? Or can angels even do bad things?

“Get help from your Bishop”. HAAA!!
So he can shame you, take away your temple recommend, and tell you to not take the sacrament so you can feel like an outcast?
    No thank you very much.

@ Mark. Hey Mark, sounds like you had a bad experience with a Bishop before. I've had that happen too. I also had very good experience. I did something once that I just knew I would be excommunicated. Boy was I surprised. I felt nothing but love from him and the High Council. I did have to stop taking the sacrament for a while but that was a small price to pay. I didn't look at it as a punishment but a opportunity.
I don't know what is going on with you, but you and the Lord knows. If you feel you need to repent don't let fear of embarrassment stop you. Don't let anything stop you from doing what you know needs to be done. You know what the Atonement was for. One day we will have to give an account before the Lord. There is no need to carry it around by yourself.
I hope you make the right choice.

your bishop is a man just like you, humility and owning your actions is apart of being helped, bishops have always used those things to help point you in the right direction when you need help refocusing on the gospel and living by the principles that are the gospel. some bishops don't have as much tact as others. they are learning too. I hope you found peace in journey.

I know what you are going through. I too am going through it at the moment. But I have to keep going. I am the only member in my family. It's tough. But us humans are not perfect. Not even Bishop's. I've talked to him numerous times but don't seem to go anywhere. I think he is a great guy. He's funny and has one heck of a personality. But he is not perfect. I am not sure what to do at this point. I'm stumped. 🤔
Something that I have been advised to do is to stay close to our Heavenly Father and our Savior. I hope things are better for you.

@@jenfira Jennifer, I have been through it all, I have gone to the lowest of lows in the church, and I want you to know that you are doing the right thing, just keep doing your best, go to church and recommit each week, don't worry about what others think, Bishops are not perfect, other members are not perfect, only Christ is, keep your focus on recommitting yourself to following your beliefs, and grind your way back, it gets better! Hang in there, your family will see your example and you can help them have better life. Take care!
