Atomic Habits is a really powerful book, it changed my life.
A friend a tutti Please in Italia 🇮🇹
Hey, I was wondering how you used the knowledge you gained from the book to your advantage. Did you make routines, and could you give me some examples?
Kiplom
@@musabaminullah Absolutely love that book! One thing I implemented was the reward concept. I have a bad habit of sitting on RUclips for too long (like I am now lol) so what I did as a reward concept was 10 minutes of study rewards me 10 minutes of RUclips time. If I wanted to be on RUclips longer I had to study longer. It become 20 minutes of study to reward 20 minutes RUclips, etc. Now studying pretty much all day is easy for me and I'm mostly on here for information and I idle time here on my lunch break.

Overcoming the financial challenges that comes with recession in any economy is easy, Simply diversify your streams of income. One of the best decision I ever made in my life was investing in the crypto market. Trust me guys, it really pays a lot! 😊😊 .
I would suggest Francesca Wilson Financial, my current broker. For me, she is currently making a ton of money, and her services are excellent. I looked up Francesca Wilson Financial after seeing her on a CNBC market interview, and then we started working together.
Having a professional is essential for portfolio diversification . My consultant is " Francesca Wilson financial " who is easily searchable and has extensive knowledge of the financial markets .
quickly do a web check where you can connect with her , and do your research with her full names mentioned Francesca Wilson financial.

4:32 Intro to 4 stages of habit formation
5:24 (1) Noticing - Implementation Intention and the experiment. 3 groups, last group has specific plan, most successful
6:53 (1) Noticing - the insight “ many people think that they lack motivation when what actually lacking is clarity.”
7:25 (1) Noticing - Author experience building writing habit.
7:54 “...so you need to give your goals a time and place to live, give them space in your calendar.”
8:12 The failure premortem a strategy for better planning. Or Kill the business...
9:04 (1) Noticing the summary - It is hard to change something if your are not aware of it. One way to become aware is a specific plan for when it going to happen.
1. The aggregation of marginal gains.
2. Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement.
3. Good habits make time your ally.
4. Bad habits make time your enemy.
5. Four stages of habit formation - noticing, wanting, doing, and liking.
6. Many people think they lack motivation when what they really lack is clarity.
7. Give your goals a time and place to live in the world.
8. You want to put more steps between you and the bad behavior and fewer steps between you and the good behavior.
9. Optimize for the starting line, not the finish line.
10. The best way to change long term behavior is with short term feedback.
Took the screenshot
putting all your energy into the starting line (and not the finishing line) is some good advice right there
wow, he actually presented the first chapter of his book almost word to word 😲
You don't have to be victim of your environment..you can be the architect!!!👍
A quick reminder for me :
. Decide What + Where + When + When specifically
. Prepare to Fail to know what you'll do to fix it
. Availability of Options makes you able to choose the bad things - remove what's bad
. Lower friction between Good habits and you and Increase it for Bad habits.
. Quantity Is better than Quality (at the beginning)
. Focus on How to start rather than the finishing line
. Habits are the first 2 minutes
. If it only takes 2 minutes, do it now
. Find/Create a reward in the Good things you do that have a long time reward !
“Be the designer of your world and not merely the consumer of it.” A good quote from this book. There's a workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels that I also like for mindfulness.
I love this talk! So much content, nicely condensed, perfectly weighted with evidence (scientific studies) and personal anecdotes. I've been following James for ages, but still found the talk so new and fresh. And I just love the "Every action that you take is actually a vote for the type of person that you want to become" -- definitely worth having as a mantra! Thank you, James.
Yes!! Agree 100%
Most people think they lack motivation when what they really is clarity.
I’m a motivational speaker and listen to other speakers just to see how they present different messages etc. This video here is GOLD JERRY, GOLD! All jokes aside, this is phenomenal material.

"If you can change your habits you can change your life" -James Clear
Some would say your habits are your life
This talk is a masterpiece.
From Stage 3: Doing to the end of it, I can't stop playing it in repeat.
Every statement from James Clear is clear and practical at the same time.
Can't get clearer, more inspirational, or more practical than that.
Changing one's environment to increase productivity has its roots in industrial psychology from decades ago...
Just finished reading atomic habits today. Exactly took me a week! And it’s the best ever I’ve read❤
This is GOLD!! THANK YOU for uploading this
I decided to start Gym and become fit on the 6 February 2021, still going 6 days a week without skipping. Small changes big results I am an example. It depends on you to start changing. Much respect ✊ to this man.
2 years later, give updates
James makes everything about changing habits to the better so.... CLEAR!!! Love the vid!
In one year, 365 days, you will be 365% better. Trust me.
Thank you for posting this video! It is probably the best summary of his book I've experienced.
That repetition spectrum is an absolutely incredible concept!
This is my go-to talk! Full of actionable content! I absolutely love it. I get so much out of it.
James Clear, you are awesome!
One of the most life changing lessons from James clear!
"don't break the chain!" ....so good!!
I sit here drunk, consciously aware of my bad habits, but also seeking anything that can bring back my motivation.
Stop drinking...it's tough. I'm only on day 14 myself...but you'll gain more clarity.
I can finally finish my thoughts...I had gotten so used to them fizzling out.
I put my goals into a spreadsheet, broken down by tasks. Everyday I work on an item for 2 hours (that's all. No crazy 10-12 hour workdays)
My self-esteem has increased and my self-shame has decreased.
I wish you well.
dude DON'T WAIT FOR MOTIVATION TO SHOW UP BY ITSELF LIKE MAGIC.
Motivation comes from action.
Watch this vid once a month and ACT on it. Internalise it.
Could you postpone that first drink a few minutes longer each time? Could you make the liquor so hard to get to that occasionally you'll feel it's not worth the effort? Could you schedule some other pleasant activity during the usual drinking times?
The motivation could be that there are thousands of lives that you can touch and inspire with the story of how your inner strength helped you beat this habit that was hiding all your amazing talents and personal qualities.
You can do it, just one minute at a time.

06:54 This is the insight. Many people think that they lack motivation when what they really lack is clarity.
13:24 (3) Doing
13:30 (3) Doing Quantity vs Quality 14:43 Important insight in the beginning is just shut-up and put your reps in. Just hone your skills. 14:53 Spectrum of repetitions. Repetition is important.

I love this! Very informative, superbly presented and really easy to get in your head. James Clear definitely got a new fan today.
Thanks for uploading!
Wow, this talk was awesome. I have been reading your articles for a long time now, but with this video you touched many different topics and made a connection between them, so the whole picture just makes sense now. Thank you!
Hello Mrs Jane is legit and her method works like magic I keep on earning every single week with her new strategies
I think I'm blessed because if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as expert Mrs Jane.
I think she is the best broker I ever seen
Yes I' m also a living testimony of expert Mrs Jane.
Mrs Jane has changed my financial status for the best.all thanks to my aunty who introduced her to me
Mrs Jane is obviously the best, I invested $3,000 and she made profit of $28,000 for me just in 15 days,
Her success story is everywhere
Who's this professional everyone is talking about I always see her post on top comment on every RUclips video I watched
James is amazing, I truly recommend his newsletter.
Great speech....i have been reading your articles for more than a month, been a reader of many selfhelp books, but your way of approach is so different. Waiting for every Monday and Thursday for you mail letter. Started implementing in betterment of myself. Keep going in this mission of positive impact.. Thank you..
I watched this 3 times now. I keep coming back, noting ideas and trying to apply them.
This talk truly resonated with me. Thanks so much for the concise and interesting delivery of actionable content. Loved it.
James Clear, thank you for everything u've done. You're the best
These people speak in such a normal fashion. They're not like the famous RUclipsrs that exaggerate every syllable, as if we the viewers, are infants.
good point.
Well there most likely trying to attract young people. Your matured so i guess you would in't understand how it feels for them. Speaking normally makes it look like your a boring person + everyone else is doing the exaggeration so there force to do it..
@@misa2339 You have a point as well in the era of tiktok
A lot of those youtubers are targeting younger audiences and that weird over the top way of speaking is good for keeping their attention. It's like a clickbait way of talking almost.
It's perfect when you are throwing information at people especially in these conferences it can become overwhelming for some.
“A slight change in your daily habits can guide your life to a very different destination.”
- James Clear
This quote is really similar to what Aristotle wrote ages ago:
"For one swallow does not make a spring..."
This has so blessed me. Thank you.
It's cool to see how he developed these ideas even further in writing Atomic Habits. What he shares here is great information, but his his presentation in Atomic Habits was even better.
Excellent talk, I understood what repetition means in our life and how important is start with a plan and just answering when, where and how. Thanks a lot!
One of the videos i keep coming back to..crisp with practical tips i can implement immediately .. thanks!
Every action you take is a vote for the person you want to become.
Such a good principle to remember.
Thank you so so so much. Got clarity just when I was feeling lost.
Very well done, Ihave been a big fan of With Winning in Mind by Lanny Basham. Your research and Ideas mesh with his book perfectly. Be process focused not out come focused. Writing down your goals in a positive action statement and envisioning what you want to become as well as the concept of you either win or you learn from each of your endeavors. I love the fact that you use sources from sport, and art and science all areas that I value.
James Clear makes everything clear!
one of the best video I've ever seen
Well said, good perspective to topics already said by countless others and then you take the extra step and show another perspective to put on top of those beliefs. I will be liking, and sharing for sure.
I see this video twice a week. Great content, very helpful.
Very good. "small habits and little choices every day" "when where and how" "time and a place in the world"
just the right talk i needed at right time.
His book is quite eye opening. I've been working to apply it for about a month, and my reading and running streaks have continued unabated.
I love this concept. Thanks for sharing, much love
Extraordinary!
Absolute Gold.
HABBITS ARE THE COMPOUND INTEREST OF SELF IMPROVEMENT". how much clearer can this message be. Thanks James.
Makes a lot of sense and has practical application. Very good.
I have just finished your book, and found it a great work on habits.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This was an awesome talk, every point of the talk was very interesting.
thank you for this talk james!
So well presented and such a great talk!
Really excellent advice - great talk
His meticulous style of teaching resonates with me I don’t do very well with vagueness I prefer things to be very specific with no room for interpretation and that’s why I love atomic habits he don’t say Shit like “just push yourself” or “how bad to u want it!!?” He talks about the ins and outs
Beautiful work. Thanx James clear.
What he talks about here is, I believe, the very foundation for success in anything you want to do.
Superb talk with so many practical tips... And how to build a new identity. Thank you!
Great stuff James .. totally gonna give it a go pumped !!
Brilliant. The book is A+!
beautiful knowledge to apply immediately in your life
Habits have four steps: Noticing, Wanting, Doing and Liking
Step 1: Noticing - Implementation Intention, set a time, place, and location for your habit.
Step 2: Wanting - Design your environment to help you make good habits easier and bad habits harder to do.
Step 3: Doing - "Shut up and put the reps in". Any outcome is just a point among repetitions you put in. Consistency is just getting started every time so optimize for the starting line, not the finish line.
Step 4: Liking - To stick to a good habit you need to bring a reward into the present moment. Seinfeld strategy = Don't break the chain and never miss twice. This strategy shows progress and consistency and acts as a reward.
You can change who you are as a person and your results little by little. Start a new habit/action and accumulate votes for your new identity. Identity = who you believe you are and it's based on actions, the actions serve as evidence and a vote.
Such an epic presentation thank you 🙏🏻
I don't have that book, but I will look for , it...i love the way , you like talking about writing, because,I need to know, how to do it...thank for this, more love from Kenya 🇰🇪
Surely a BRILLIANT PERSON to begin with and his speech are TRULY INSPIRING . atomic habits nuclear results

A great presentation and very clear!
17:30 It's funny, this starting line! I realised it yesterday, after I wear my running watch I thought: "Now you have to run" :D
Very good thanks. The power of 1 percent daily compounded.
Absolutely loved this video 🤗
Awesome video.
Thank you James Clear
James is the only motivational/inspirational speaker I admired truly due to the fact his materials (unlike some inspirational guro on RUclips) has actual Science but with practical application and easy to understand. I have been sign up to his newsletter for years now and there are a lot of articles for everybody. I never bother to search on RUclips before for him because the articles are easy to understand I can hear him saying it and now he just pop up on my recommendation and best thing ever happened.
I agree
This was a great video! It makes so much sense!!!
Brilliant!!! Taking notes and putting this into action.
Wonderful content... I love it...

Good presentation.
With regards to Social Media.
I don't need it nor do I have the apps on my phone because I don't use them.
I just focus on what is really important in achieving my goals. Other than the necessities of life I just refuse to get distracted because I don't get back time.
Thank you Clear
