Excitebike 64 is an excellent example of how to make a great 3-D game from a 2-D original. Aside from the slightly loose control and steep learning curve, once you've memorized the transitions and mastered the TURBO, your mind will be blown! There is simply no other 3-D motocross game quite like it. Everything else is a MX Unleashed-like sim with pre-load mechanics. This is an arcade masterpiece. A tough game to learn but totally worth the time.
The collision detection is more consistent than Glenn is giving it credit for, if you ride into the rear tyre of a bike in front then you crash and if another rider collides with your rear tyre then they crash.
2 years later but....My buddy and I would rent this game over and over (the local place had 5 copies for some reason) and we'd always pray we'd snag the copy with this unlocked. I remember it being a difficult mode to get but dont recall the specifics. Either way, played the fk out of soccer but always wanted that mode
I remember adverts in US magazines boasting that the audio for this game used genuine MP3 files. But its a game I wanted to play, but never got around to it, I never even knew it was released in Europe. I had a Gamecube by that time.
Dude my older sister got this game for our 64 from a Best Buy so long ago. I remember being terrible at the racing, but being obsessed with the trials with the sand dunes and fires. What a throwback. Yikes. Time flies.
This is one of my all time favorites I almost always pick up first when digging out the old '64. Still have tracks saved from 20 years ago that the family made. Even tried to speed run all the courses before that was a thing by beating all the lap times. The controls are a bit wonky, but that was a part of getting good at the game.
My favorite bike game on N64 (and maybe ever, I'm not sure) is Road Rash 64. It was really fun to be on the streets racing and beating people up. I feel Road Rash 64 had a good progression through it too.
N64 Glenn Plant, you have AMAZING content/ Just want to say thanks for all the stuff you have done. I don't even watch tv anymore, just watch your vids most of the time for my enjoyment
Loved this game as a kid, used to just spam through the character selection screen to hear the commentator say the names. I have "JUMPIN JIM RIVERS!!!" burned into my brain lol
Was best bike game on 64 for me. Tons of hours playing this one! Hill climb is great. Especially if you have mastered the controls. A many battles in the soccer ⚽️ too!
I need to get this off the Wii U eShop. I remember having a blast with this as a kid, especially the trick mode. Videos make it seem like it holds up really well.
this and OoT are the first games i bought with my own money, i remember having so much fun with this game, lots of nostalgia. i think you can even unlock the original excite bike in it
This was such a great multiplayer game. True hi-res mode sucked (can't think of one that didn't) but the control is what makes this game great. Shifting your rider's weight with the analogue stick and power sliding around sharp corners was so satisfying. Timing and chaining your boost over a series of jumps to win a race was incredible.
I think this was the last ever N64 game i bought upon release. And what a game! Took a while to get used to the controls but when you did WHAT A GAME! A swan song for the N64.
Excitebike 64 is an exceptional masterpiece, and easily the best motorcycle racing game ever made. The graphics are outstanding, controls near-perfect, general game design among the best of the geeneration... the game isn't the N64's best racing game, due to the incredibly high quality of the N64's racing game genre, but it's one of the best. Excitebike 64 is a very challenging game which rewards skill, and once you've mastered it it's incredibly rewarding. Managing your turbo meter is absolutely key! (As for crashes, generally you crash if you're hit on the front half of your bike. Don't get hit in the front of your bike, pretty much.) Additionally, one thing you don't mention here is the Nintendo influence. Left Field's original design was more simmish, but NIntendo had them make the game more arcadey in some important ways. I don't like sim racing games, so the results here are just about perfect. To see how important Nintendo's influence is, compare this to Left Field's later PS2/Wii motorcycle racing game Nitro Bike. They tried to recreate EB64's magic, but the absence of Nintendo's input is sorely felt and the game is disappointing. Nintendo makes developers better when they work with them. The games' issues are minor. First I do agree that High Res mode isn't worth it; the large black bars are distracting, and the framerate hit makes playing the game harder. Also, the game looks so amazing in regular resolution that the boost isn't really needed! And yeah, the music is forgettable. Also, the graphics in the outdoor courses are really impressive, but indoor arena courses aren't nearly as great looking, I have always thought. It's too bad that more of the tracks are indoor than outdoor and that you can only make arena courses in the editor. Also, the desert mode is a very cool technical accomplishment (it really does infinitely randomly generate terrain as you drive!), but it's one player only and has no difficulty options, and the AI is quite weak. I guess it's nice that something in this hard game is easy, but it'd have been nice to have more reason to play the desert mode, like there is the really tough but awesome Hill Climb.
Matthias you clearly don't know what 3D Saturn game looks like, that's ridiculous. Anyway Falcon I agree, this the 2nd best racer on the platform behind F-Zero X imo. It's very challenging and takes alot of practice to master all the riding mechanics, I definitely had to do the tutorial and learn/practice all the techniques before becoming decent at the game. But once you do, it's still not perfect I still manage to do a frustrating random 90 degree turn out of nowhere sometimes but it's pretty damn close to perfection. Awesome game, I got to the Platinum races but haven't completed the Grand Prix yet. Should go back sometime.
Ok...so then it's obvious that this looks better than the average 3d Saturn game lol. The Saturn was a monster for 2d gaming but for 3d (on average) the results would end up being worst than even some 3d ps1 games. You know what, forget it what Saturn games look as good as this, let me know so I can see for myself.
Retro Soul I should have been clearer. I meant the higher end of Saturn 3D graphics. I'd suggest checking out Winter Heat to see what I mean. The N64 OBVIOUSLY beats the Saturn in 3D, as does the PS1 for the most part!
I love this game, played it with my siblings all the time. Also, the wipeout mechanic when near another player is caused by a front tire hitting a rear tire; whoever is in front wins. This adds another layer of strategy to the game since when you are in the lead you can try and clip the person behind you, but if you miss, you’ll probably end up hitting the side of the course.
Played this game a lot back in the day. Lots of fun. Had some cool cheat codes too. The desert course was mind blowing as it is truly infinite; still not sure how they did that. I mean could I drive in one direction for a year and then turn around and supposedly all the details would be stored. There has to be a limit? I really enjoyed every mode except the soccer game; I feel like that was just something they were playing with and decided to leave in to fill some more space. The excite 3D mode was very cool and I was really happy that they included the original game in there too. That was the first time us western kids got to use the save feature in that game!
its points like this i would love for one of the many developers to answer you, a few have dropped in on the channel from time to time so maybe one day!
N64 Glenn Plant that would be awesome. I'm glad you're getting a chance to talk with some of the devs. I'm sure they appreciate the passion for their work on this under appreciated console
This was the second highest rated N64 game on IGN with a score of 9.9. I don't know if there was an inflation of scores at IGN at the time, but this seemed very generous to me. Apparently it sold also extremely well with two million copies which is even more than Banjo-Tooie.
This game is one of the best n64 multiplayer games ever. The soccer mode is fun, racing the tracks with 3 other people is great and getting to ride courses that you build with bots and friends is the best. To put it simply excitebike 64 is unrivaled on the GameCube, Wii and even Switch. You can’t find one motorcycle racing game from the year 2000 until 2020 that is better than excitebike 64. The GameCube is my favorite console ever and out of the 3 or 4 motorcycle racing games they are all for 2 players only. The wii with the silly remote that most of its library uses makes all of its games without GameCube controller support a pain to play. The Wii U is a disaster on multiple levels and the switch gets most of its racing games from cell phone rip offs. Again the Nintendo 64 and Excitebike 64 remains the best motorcycle racing game of all time .
Most likely not sadly .the switch is lacking in classic gaming big time...big step back from the switch. However there was a cool 3d like excite bike game for the super Nintendo in which you may not have heard of. It was called dirt tax FX. It was a pretty cool game. I'm hoping they can release it
A lot of game stories start with "I was with my friends..." Great review. I agree, a sequel to the NES ExciteBike really "came out of left field" as we say in the States.
I absolutely loved that game. I remember raging my life on the last level: The mountain climbing that I could achieve after quite some efforts. One of my fav racing titles with New Beatle Adventure Racing on that system!
I have no doubt that I have a couple thousand hours logged in this game, this was my jam and sparked my love of motorcycles. Jumping Jim rivers for the win!
You know it. I think this is not just my favorite N64 game but my favorite game full stop(I've been gaming since the late 70's). Certainly the best motocross game of all time. Vicky Steele takes the lead. Ricky Stern drops back to 3rd place :) Perfection in a cartridge.
You missed a lot of features this game had to offer. The multiplayer gameplay is above many other racing games due to its unique (to the N64) physics and handling of controls. The cheat menu also offers a good amount of replay value. Its a shame it came out so late in the consoles lifespan. Many of the things this game originated are still used in motorcross racing games today.
I had this game as a kid and we always had a lot of fun with it when we played with friends. I didn't have it for a very long time though because my brother decided to trade it to his friend for "Crusin World", which was a fun game, but eventually I missed having this game and lamented that he traded it.
you're not nailing most of the jumps because you don't use the turbo boost trick. you need to hold down Z when riding up a slope, release it and immediately press it again briefly right before going off a jump. there's a lot of nuance in the controls.
“Tricky Ricky Stern” was my dude!! I dug out my 64 for the 1st time in 25+yrs to introduce to my 9yr old son.... we’ve been playing it together for hrs now. I still haven’t broke out “Goldeneye” “Perfect Dark” and “Mario cart” yet..
I really enjoyed this title back in the day. Well actually, I hated it at first. It took me a while to get used to the controls. But once I did, I had a great time with it. But the best bike game on N64 has got to be Road Rash.
Between this and road rash its almost a toss up, but i give the edge to roadrash! Once you get good at this game tho its an absolute blast and one of my favorites!
Maybe it's just me but being wheel to wheel with another racer never felt like a 50/50. The trick was to touch your back wheel to their front wheel which would send them flying and reset your overheat meter.
Nintendo should combine wave race, pilot wings, 1080 snowboarding and excite bike. It would make a cool new IP... I do wonder if they will improve the frame rate for the games included on the n64 classic.
IIRC, Nintendo's Virtual Console games run at a more consistent framerate than the originals, because of how the emulation works. You'll probably find that the N64 Classic (if there is one) produces similarly improved performance. A 30fps game is still going to be 30fps, but there would likely be less slowdown. On a similar subject, I wonder if future N64 rereleases will be in HD. Previously, they've always gone with 480p, which makes no sense on the Wii U, as it's neither accurate (240p) nor pretty (1080p).
there was a game on the dreamcast who's name i forget which kinda had a mix of extreme sports that would all link into one another, i remember really enjoying it
Over the last week I watched this entire 233 video series while working on wood carving. You have a comforting voice and good reviews :) do you have Patreon?
N64 Glenn Plant well I hope you continue although I wonder what you will do when you run out of n64 games? Once I went on a wacky romp with pj64 to find nd play as many homebrew roms as I could and let me tell you some of them were utter trash haha
Give me this over Wave Race 64 any day....... and i have no interest in motorbikes whatsoever. In fact i actually dislike motorbikes. Yet i've completed Excitebike 64, TWICE. Certainly one of the best racers on the system, and much more sophisticated in it's execution than most other racers(and more exciting). I just couldn't believe how enjoyable and accurate the physics, and handling were. Fantastic FX too. It is easy to get knocked of your bike..... but i just welcomed this challenge. The graphics are also commendable, definitely to be played with the Expansion Pak. They didn't manage to convert me into liking motorbikes, but it just goes to show..... with great presentation/production, with fantastic graphics/gameplay, you can even get someone who dislikes the chosen medium to enjoy themselves; if you perfect your product. So now i'm wondering if anyone can create an enjoyable Sumo Wrestling game. Or if at some point i'll be completing a game based on UK Bowls. HA, i doubt it.
Another late Nintendo 64 game I was intrested in but didnt get to play because I had moved on to pc gaming at the time. I LOVED 1080 snowboarding and waverace 64, so another racing game from nintendo caught my interest when it was announced, but by the time it was released I had forgotten about it. I did play Exitetruck on the wii and that was amazing aswell. Its a shame that nintendo has lost interest in racing games other than mario kart. they used to make so many great ones.
I've owned and sold this game a few times over the years but after seeing this l will have to play the copy I've actually kept for the last 4 years but hardly played (overall), so cheers Glenn for getting me ahem back on the motorbike.:P
Most rewarding MX racer ever. If you've ever ridden real motocross then you'll 100% get this game. It's absolutely fair and the controls are perfect. You know you've got it nailed down when it becomes a totally relaxed experience and you find yourself mostly rolling/lightly accelerating keeping your momentum and full throttling when necessary rather than for no reason. It's hard to get into but it's a masterpiece when you get there. All other MX games are a joke in comparison. Only thing missing is the smell of 2-stroke.
Loved this game, but the character balance was a bit bad. Ricky Stern and SArah Hill were blatantly better than the rest of the cast because the Turbo stat only affected how lon gyou could use the Turbo, not the power of it. THe difference between the lowest turbo and the highest turbo was negligeble whereas the other stats were far more noticable. And the outdoor tracks were way more fun. Too many indoor tracks IMO
Hello! You should make a video with the games that make the best and the worst use of the Expansion Pak. There are so many games that visibly reduce framerate when using the high-res mode, that it seems only a minority of compatible games offer a worthy benefit from its use. Such a shame, Expansion Pak was a great idea, but ended really disappointing most of the times.
i remember like this one much more than the ps1 moto racer (i guess because the ps1 ones are too much twitchy)... is this one of those racers where you feel you are moving the track and not the vehicle itself?
Good talking points, but watching you play this was painful. You weren't turboing and riding the hills correctly at all. There is definitely a technique to this game, and it's a shame it wasn't displayed in this review.
Man it seems like forever ago since I asked if you were going to review this Glenn. I agree, everything this game does is done correctly but for some reason, it's just not a whole lot of fun to play.
While playing this game while your voice over is playing? I'm just like, "damn it! Ride the hills!" Hate when I see my son play like that lmao. Just knocking the hills instead of riding along with them
I didnt really play it but I picked this up from a neighbors garage sale it was the filthiest N64 game I had picked up with reddish orange gunk inside the cart idk if it was cheeto dust or rust or what lol
I really couldn't get into this game despite wanting to. The controls are just too hard to get to grips with, the rubber-banding makes it hard to win a race, even when you're winning, and the moment you look at the scenery you fall off your bike. It has potential, but the fun is hard to find. I'll stick with the NES game.
Please don't let this offend you man but you really need to practice I love this game I'm playing it right now and I do the time trials with a ghost data and can't get in front of that but watching your gameplay yeah you need to play it a couple more weeks in a row
A tough game to learn but totally worth the time.
always love hearing from other big n64 fans!
Imagine a new Excitebike game nowadays.
Retro Rambles lol, oh god
Didnt the Wii get a downloadable one
it was already made, its called motorstorm ...
Adam Phillip Oh wow, you're right, I hadn't heard of that.
We got the excite truck on the Wii and excite bots. It still lives on threw that.
The collision detection is more consistent than Glenn is giving it credit for, if you ride into the rear tyre of a bike in front then you crash and if another rider collides with your rear tyre then they crash.
bengolious yeah sliding around a corner and taking out the leader... sweet...
bengolious and your temp goes down
Yeah..... I still think this is the best dirtbike game ever created!!!
This also had the NES version as an unlockable
yup thats right, a nice feature indeed
N64 Glenn Plant yet it didn't get a mention in the review?
2 years later but....My buddy and I would rent this game over and over (the local place had 5 copies for some reason) and we'd always pray we'd snag the copy with this unlocked. I remember it being a difficult mode to get but dont recall the specifics. Either way, played the fk out of soccer but always wanted that mode
@@iSpeed64 all you had to do was complete the tutorial. Tedious and annoying, but short and easy
Man I loved this game, still have it to this day. I can't believe how difficult it was to drive after not playing it for over 15 years.
yeah its one of the hardest games to handle going back to it after all these years
I had this game and it was amazing! Along with Wave Race, this was one of my favorite racing games on the N64.
wave race 64 is amazing, one of my favs
Waverace, 1080 and Excitebike show that while the N64 is looked at as having a small library of games it was definitely quality over quantity.
I remember putting my rock music tape into my cassette player and jamming out on Friday nights while taking everyone out riding wheelies
I remember adverts in US magazines boasting that the audio for this game used genuine MP3 files.
But its a game I wanted to play, but never got around to it, I never even knew it was released in Europe. I had a Gamecube by that time.
i got gamecube day one, my bro and dad got xbox. i must admit after playing halo for the first time i was a lil jealous
Still have tracks saved from 20 years ago that the family made. theres so much love for RR64 but personally for me i didn't enjoy it as much as many people seem to have done
N64 Glenn Plant, you have AMAZING content/ Just want to say thanks for all the stuff you have done. I don't even watch tv anymore, just watch your vids most of the time for my enjoyment
Best motorbike game ever. Steep learning curve. Incredible game
Tim Crook best name ever. Rage against the corporate agenda
Also 3D mode was awesome.. wish I had my memory card for those times damn near had that down to science
I need to get this off the Wii U eShop. I remember having a blast with this as a kid, especially the trick mode. Videos make it seem like it holds up really well.
this and OoT are the first games i bought with my own money, i remember having so much fun with this game, lots of nostalgia. i think you can even unlock the original excite bike in it
OOT is still my all time fav game, such an epic purchase even after all these years
N64 Glenn Plant How come you haven’t reviewed it yet?
This was such a great multiplayer game. True hi-res mode sucked (can't think of one that didn't) but the control is what makes this game great. Shifting your rider's weight with the analogue stick and power sliding around sharp corners was so satisfying. Timing and chaining your boost over a series of jumps to win a race was incredible.
i think that rogue squadron is good in high res, but yeah it seems that many studios struggled to do wonders with it
Glenn's back yay!!!
i don't think I've been away? hah
Sorry, but it felt like a long time, a dark time
I think this was the last ever N64 game i bought upon release. And what a game! Took a while to get used to the controls but when you did WHAT A GAME! A swan song for the N64.
Excitebike 64 is an exceptional masterpiece, and easily the best motorcycle racing game ever made.

Retro Soul Lol. I own 3 Saturns and about 50 games....
Ok...so then it's obvious that this looks better than the average 3d Saturn game lol. I'd suggest checking out Winter Heat to see what I mean.
The N64 OBVIOUSLY beats the Saturn in 3D, as does the PS1 for the most part!
Anybody getting deja vu? This is the third video that I thought Glenn already made!
perhaps you can read my mind and see what videos are coming before i make them
I love this game, played it with my siblings all the time. Also, the wipeout mechanic when near another player is caused by a front tire hitting a rear tire; whoever is in front wins. This was a recurring blockbuster rental for me as a kid.
ah the good old blockbuster or global video days - so many memories
This is the best dirt bike game in game history , it’s so fucking fun . I miss those days as a boy

There didn't seem to be an end. I'd get bored and ride for 10 minutes in a straight line without hitting a Truman Show wall.
This was the second highest rated N64 game on IGN with a score of 9.9. I don't know if there was an inflation of scores at IGN at the time, but this seemed very generous to me. Apparently it sold also extremely well with two million copies which is even more than Banjo-Tooie.
A classic masterpiece.

hmm id say do a new version rather than a remaster
Actually, a new version would be better.

Excitebike 64 is a motocross racing game can unlock new difficulty, rounds, tracks, and special tracks
A lot of game stories start with "I was with my friends..."

Ah... yes, excitebike 64.
The first n64 game I've ever owned. I find this one to be my top pick for at least the motorcycle racing games...
You missed a lot of features this game had to offer. The multiplayer gameplay is above many other racing games due to its unique (to the N64) physics and handling of controls. ha i remember my bro trading in some game i forget for premier manager 64 as he loved football management games :(
I still play this from time to time its a fun game to have around.
i don't think ill be going back to it in a hurry as unfortunetly i rarely seem to have much free time these days
I love this game! Woo-Hoo the memories...
I'll never forget the Kobe trick
you're not nailing most of the jumps because you don't use the turbo boost trick. you need to hold down Z when riding up a slope, release it and immediately press it again briefly right before going off a jump. there's a lot of nuance in the controls.
No better time than Xmas eve hey! Start em young
Another great video - made my evening
thank you pleto :)
I loved this game when I was a young kid. I've bought it again recently and struggle to get to grips with the Controls. Sliding about everywhere haha
Just got this game today, I would have to say after playing mx unleashed first this game just didn't cut it👍
If you hit boost on the lip of the jump it gives you a boost. You weren't doing this that's why you crunching on jumps
I really enjoyed this title back in the day. Well actually, I hated it at first. It took me a while to get used to the controls. But once I did, I had a great time with it. But the best bike game on N64 has got to be Road Rash.
yeah the controls are certainly not easy to get to grips with, took me a while
Between this and road rash its almost a toss up, but i give the edge to roadrash! Once you get good at this game tho its an absolute blast and one of my favorites!
Some time ago I got this and wave race 64. Even though Excitebike 64 is technically impressive I found myself enjoying wave race 64 so much more.
A very worthy follow up to the 8bit Nintendo classic. Great review Glenn. \,,/
think id still rather play the 8bit but thankfully both are on this cart :)
Glen64 is back, baby!
haha i don't feel I've been away!?
Thanks for another sweet review. I sometimes let the playlist go and fall asleep to you voice, no homo.
haha a few people have said that over the years, if youtube does work out perhaps i have a career in sleep assistant MP3's :)
SwausageTV homophobic are we?
N64 Glenn Plant call dude out for his homophobia this isn’t 1980
It looks fun and it looks like it did had good graphics for its time
Not quite in the same league of excellence of Wave Race or 1080, but still the best dirt Bike game ever released.
Roadrash 64 I think is my favourite biker game, mainly because I played with all of my friends at the time, so we had a blast beating each other up.
yeah its amazing how multiplayer can influence opinions
Maybe it's just me but being wheel to wheel with another racer never felt like a 50/50. The trick was to touch your back wheel to their front wheel which would send them flying and reset your overheat meter.
Cool tip
planning on getting this one day!
great review Glenn!
sorry so so many comments i just love watching reviews of my favorite console :)
i appreciate your comments and watching, its the dialogue on this channel that makes it all worth while :)
Me and my brother played this a lot. Especially the soccer mode.
See I was never a big fan of that myself
Tricky Ricky ,love that game
Damn the nostalgia
This game still puts a smile on my face played on an emulator. Needs to be remastered for the Switch like Doom64 was.
Previously, they've always gone with 480p, which makes no sense on the Wii U, as it's neither accurate (240p) nor pretty (1080p).
there was a game on the dreamcast who's name i forget which kinda had a mix of extreme sports that would all link into one another, i remember really enjoying it
N64 Glenn Plant I remember it too, was a really fun game. I think it's called xtreme sports/ Sega extreme sports.
Nobody can beat me in this game!!! I watched the world record speedrun and laughed!!! 😂🚵🆗💯👌
Ah man the graphics are hurting..but I miss this game and just found an Nintendo 64 for 25 bucks..I have to get it and find this game online.
thats not a bad price at all
I really wish they kept making Excitebike games, idk why they didn't
This game is my childhood
Over the last week I watched this entire 233 video series while working on wood carving. You have a comforting voice and good reviews :) do you have Patreon?
Thanks Franz, no I do not have patreon because people enjoying the videos I make is the only reward I do this for 😬
N64 Glenn Plant well I hope you continue although I wonder what you will do when you run out of n64 games?
Loved this game
What was your fav part?
Another late Nintendo 64 game I was intrested in but didnt get to play because I had moved on to pc gaming at the time.
I LOVED 1080 snowboarding and waverace 64, so another racing game from nintendo caught my interest when it was announced, but by the time it was released I had forgotten about it.
I did play Exitetruck on the wii and that was amazing aswell. Its a shame that nintendo has lost interest in racing games other than mario kart. they used to make so many great ones.
i really enjoyed excitetruck on wii too - that was very fun for an early release title
I've owned and sold this game a few times over the years but after seeing this l will have to play the copy I've actually kept for the last 4 years but hardly played (overall), so cheers Glenn for getting me ahem back on the motorbike.:P
thats cool to hear, normally when id get rid of games id have no intention of ever getting them back
N64 Glenn Plant Never again.
Buddy talking about how easy it is to fall off the bike as he continues to slam into the tough blocks in every corner possible
I’m glad you got the irony 😉
I used to ride for waayyyy too long in one direction in that desert level hoping to find a secret or something lol
“It’s tricky ricky stern”
It’s tricky to Rock a rhyme to rock a rhyme that’s right on time it’s tricky
This is by far the best bike racing game ever
The amount of shit talking back and forth between friends playing this game was crazy lol
i feel like i had this game hmmm anyway great video glenn
Another Great video Glenn 👍
thanks Eli, have a good weekend
Great video as always. :D
I don’t know about everyone else but I am so thankful Nintendo didn’t try to do Metroid on N64. You know that game would have sucked.
Excitebike 64 is one of the best motorcycle racing games of all time besides Top Gear Hyperbike and EA's Supercross 2000!
i remember like this one much more than the ps1 moto racer (i guess because the ps1 ones are too much twitchy)...
is this one of those racers where you feel you are moving the track and not the vehicle itself?
i think this is one of those racers where you do actually feel ike you are moving the rider and not just the track
ah, yes...the rider itself moves to help turn corners...
Good talking points, but watching you play this was painful. You weren't turboing and riding the hills correctly at all. There is definitely a technique to this game, and it's a shame it wasn't displayed in this review.
There is always a rich kid among the group of kids, right?
Man it seems like forever ago since I asked if you were going to review this Glenn. I agree, everything this game does is done correctly but for some reason, it's just not a whole lot of fun to play.
haha Jaeger ill get around to every game eventually but yeah i think it was a while ago you mentioned this one
I played Extreme G and road rash 64 a little more then Excite bike Glenn and i think that Wave race 64 is still a awesome game my friend.
yeah Wave race is hard to beat for some pure fun
You can play on the Nintendo Switch Online now.
I miss this game so much, too bad I gave my ps2 away along with all my games.
why ps2? this was a n64 exclusive game?
While playing this game while your voice over is playing?
I'm just like, "damn it! Ride the hills!" Hate when I see my son play like that lmao. Just knocking the hills instead of riding along with them
One of the last "big" games of the N64... But I prefer Moto Racer !
I didnt really play it but I picked this up from a neighbors garage sale it was the filthiest N64 game I had picked up with reddish orange gunk inside the cart idk if it was cheeto dust or rust or what lol
Twintania Take the gamebits out and wash the plastic.
Matthias Forelli I don't have it anymore but at the time I didn't have any game bit do I just made do with rubbing alcohol
get cleaning it :)
"Eat Dirt!"
Excitebike Switch would be great.
This game wouldn't had been the same without the football mode hahaha.
always love a kick around!
This shit bringing bck memories, finna make a nigga tear up 🥺
And the best bike racing game is Extreme G.
i like that but i have others above it
