I own an 07 GXP. My personal recommendation for these cars is to get a 26" thrush glasspack in place of yhe stock resinator. Perfect tone and loud ess without the extra raspy and clappy exhaust.

@@TexasRigged They're not bad cars. I don't know if you've seen the other comments but the biggest issue with that platform (that I've had at least) was the fragile transmissions. Other than some small mechanical and electrical issues, they're pretty solid.
No sense in bringing both back, as they are really the same cars in the lineup. Just grew up, and realized that pushing power is a hell of a lot better then pulling it lol
the only horrible thing about this car is that damn transmission. they shouldve used the 4T80 from the northstars, but instead they kept that dog shit 4T65 that could barely handle the s/c 3.8 v6😂
Unfortunately, the transmissions is what is keeping me away from these LS4 powered cars like this Grand Prix, Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS, and the Buick Lacrosse Super. All of them are cool on paper, but ended up being trash due to the transmission and other issues like the front wheels not even good at handling the V8 power too.

The next Gen GP was cancelled and GM never finished the starter development that woud have put a square starter in custom machined oil pan. Look at an LS4 pan and its obvious where it was gonna go. And by 2010 Pontiac was gone. The G8 was inported from Holden and got the people thrilled till brand demise and was rwd even. But too late to the show to aave Pontiac.

Man alive, not only is that ridiculously loud, but it sounds like sh*t! It either needs to be a true dual exhaust, or an X pipe, and at least add some magnaflow magnapacks with no drone technology. That noise and drone is gonna get old really fast.

Mannn. The owner spent a LOT of time on ebay. Cheap headlights, cheap tail lights, cheap graphics. 💀 These cars could've been great, i love the platform, but the terrible ecu programming, and glass transmissions make these cars so terrible. A 330 hp fwd car should be able to spin the tires but that terribly low converter stall and heavily retarded timing to keep the trans together make these cars SO slow. No knock on the owner for all that mess, just the ebay parts. No forgiveness. 😂

But I will agree that the transmissions on these cars as well as the Monte Carlo counterparts are absolute garbage. I've always said that if GM chose to make the GP and MC RWD with a stronger transmission, these definitely would have been more sought after.
Oh and it’s 303 hp not 330 also will spin tires for a min if you turn off the traction control off if you listen when got on gas the car shut it self down to prevent spinning
