This is why I love Wolf. You hear he's Andys sons favorutie. So what do Wolf and his dad do? They have a bot of as tussle and his son absolutely loves it.Everything Wolf did was for the kids entertainment.
Absolutely. I met Wolf at an event years back and he was great. Played in character to the kids but was also really, really superb and great with his time to them. Genuinely nice guy out of character too.
@@col227t8Let's be fair, it's an entertainment show overall, and it's a golden gem from the 90s. The reason why I'll always prefer this to wrestling is that aside from the characters played by some Gladiators, particularly Wolf, it's genuinely hardcore, physical stuff. WWE/F/G/X/Y/Z... I don't bloody know, that's mildly entertaining as a kid, but increasingly awful as you hit your teens. I'd have loved to have got the chance to watch this era of Gladiators live.
Eunice definitely deserved to become the overall female winner of Gladiators 1994 as she always played by the rules of all of the events that she had played
30 years on & I can Say the 2nd Quarter-Final of Series 3 is one of my Favourite editions of the Classic Series of Gladiators, Way to Go Eunice Huthart!
This time, the ladies' Gauntlet order is not by age (Nightshade--14/11/60, Jet--13/02/70, Zodiac--02/11/65, Scoprio--15/03/65, Falcon--06/11/63). However, the guys' Gauntlet is the same as the previous two runs.
@@davidfearis7335 Yes I agree with you, but in my my opinion Andy should have not pushed Wolf after Hang Tough though. Because Wolf pulled him off fair & square
Does anyone else think the Duel platforms needed to be a little closer (esp for the women)? Too many draws and too easy to just defend or try to make the attacker over balance.
The fact Wolf made nice with Sam again makes me think definitely they had a mutual respect that broke wolf out of character after their original hang tough in the heats (Maybe he enjoys a good fight in an event so to speak?) To be fair to Sam he did survive Wolf spinning him on the ring the first time. That alone is impressive imo. As a side note Sam did have a character going as a contender. Gladiator kayfabe perhaps?
Technically if you're behind (as Sam was) you get to take the closer rope swing (and he was already on the closer side of the cargo net) and the closer balance beam, though I suppose his rope swing is further from the balance beams so that bit is less relevant, but still, when it's so close at the end those things surely matter.
It's literally just that one bit where the person on the right gets that slightly smaller run to the zip line, but it balances it out again to get to the beams. Technically, they could have had them swap sides so they'd finish on the side they began, but perhaps it would have been too confusing to go one side, then back to the other for the graveyard.
I do agree there was a psychological advantage to be had in chasing your opponent, but only if you were say 7-8 seconds behind at maximum. There were exceptions when significantly bigger leads were blown, but in general, anything around 9-10 seconds is too big a margin to make up, certainly in the Eliminator without the spaghetti junction, which was the biggest bitch of all obstacles, aside from the draining cargo net. I think the optimal time gap would be about 4-5 seconds. It's pretty close, but you're not so close that it's likely you'll overtake almost immediately. Obviously people like Deano, Phil N, Sam and Mark Moffett were just insanely rapid in any case. Paul Field was quick too. The second version of Eliminator was the best.
@@gftyhifyYes, mentioning Liverpool or her bloody "home mum" life every sodding ten minutes, coupled with the presenters and commentator encouraging it all, smacked of blatant favouritism, certainly in that regard. It did make me wonder whether it was fixed, because somehow I don't think Kerryn would have become a coach, then a gladiator, then a Hollywood stunt woman.

Closest Eliminator ever. Sam was the sizzle of that season. There were much better contenders than him, but he was the one who made things more entertaining. Oh and the Eunice ass kissing in this episode was very nauseating. From Uli to Sachs.

What a magnificent mid 90’s hairdo Jo had! She was ever so pretty!
Anybody else notice that rather painful shot Trojan received on Suspension Bridge? OUCH! 38:06
Lightning was such a beauty.
Andy was so down to earth and easy to route for. Most of the contestants in this show were in love with themselves and so cringe.
