Currently running Elkas on two rigs: 21 4Runner and 22 GX. You guys nailed it on description of everything on these shocks. Great overall - not purpose built (without fine tuning). 20K miles on 4R and 10K miles on GX. Compression noise has been on both from the start but no leaks. Figure it’s an Elka trademark.
I'd love to see a follow up of what your ideal shock valving would look like in these tests. Maybe taking the last place shock and putting in a custom shim stack to see how it performs against itself and the competition. Another follow-up idea: quick explainer of what all these terms mean. Digressive vs progressive vs linear, low speed vs high speed situation, etc. I mean, obviously I know what they all mean, but some other viewers may not...
Elka 2.0, 0-2 on my 17 AC, When stock weight, they were great all around and found better than 6112 for my daily driver/weekend warrior! My elkas had no seal issues but just typical bearing replacements. Running a longer coil with my front weight on these 2.0 now and they are even better I find in terms of rebound. New energy bumpstops made a difference as well. Im glad the elkas made a good impression!
10:40 thats insane to call out the seal issues and be spot on, did you guys take em apart to see if that was indeed a culprit? Elkas may be fine, but worth 50-75% more per package (vs the rest)?
Such a great video series! I love this channel! How do you not have a million subscribers already?!?!?! Also, come visit Flagstaff AZ during the Overland Expo! Give the Cinders OHV area a try!
Two years now with the same Elkas and Ive had some oil on the front hose but it seemed to go away. Maybe it was from something else. Other than that I really love the ride on my tacoma with them.
Just bought a 23 Tundra. What are the best shocks to get for it. This truck will be on gravel and flying through cut ag fields while hunting coyotes. Lemme know!
Could you please comment on the reservoir settings on each shock? Unotuch out of the box? Neutral setting? Softer? I believe they need different adjustments due to the valving and if linear or progressive piston. That would definetly affect ride quality.
Please add Ironman4x4 Foam Cell Pros to your test. These are very highly rated and it would be interesting to see how they fair against the others you are testing. Awesome video guys!

Excited to see how the other shocks compare!
This series is invaluable! Thanks gents! 🎉🎉🎉
Ive never even heard of Elkas and its crazy that they outperformed the Fox’s in this test study. Great video. Thank you.
They are a canadian company. Theyve been making shocks for atvs for some time, but are pretty new to the passenger vehicle segment.
They also make Toytecs new Aluma Series
Wish RUclips would pick up these videos and put them onto the trending page, great videos!
Elkas are amazing. Something must be funky with that set and the squeal

Gonna be Bilstein for the win!
Excellent vids guys, love these👍👍

Thanks for doing this test. ❤
I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next video!
Thank you for making these kind of videos. I have a 2022 trd tacoma.
Amazing video can't wait for the King shocks 👍
Toytec Aluma 2.5s are made by Elka. I love them on my 4th gen.
I heard Toytec's customer service blows.
Nice. Only heard of Elkas a few times, so don’t know
Much about them. Will keep them in mind…Also, dying to know how the King & Icon shocks do.
Love the blind tests!

This is the review I was waiting for, especially since you guys sold your last elka 2.5s a few hours before I called 😅
Would also like to see reviews on the Bilstein 8112/8100 setup. Barely any info on those shocks.
Keep watching 😉
I’m loving these videos. Keep it up.
What about the BP 51?
Great series.
9k Baby WOOOOO!

I really curious the spring rates of the coil overs. Are they all the same? If not what are they? What rear springs are on the truck?
Could you please comment on the reservoir settings on each shock?

We didn't test any shocks with adjusters to keep the tests fair
Good stuff!
You guys opinion on Elkas for a Sequoia... Will the 2.0 be enough ?
Elka is king number one in atv racing
First heard of Elka via FTR Outdoors (Canadian dudes). Seems solid.
Do you think that these results will have similar results on different platforms because I’m looking for new suspension for my F150
Next time could you test Reiger's, pls?
Are these Bette than stock fox pro shocks
Wheels are tire size??
Elkaaa
What about Dobinson MRRs?
If Icon wins I'm selling my truck
Manchester
Lol
Why?

Guys you did something wrong, you have to use the same spring rates for all the different shocks, otherwise your testing is nonpractical.
These don’t sound like good shocks
Ian cheats he definitely looks everytime he gets out of the truck
