BHP vs HP. A simple yet crucial difference between BHP and HP is how they're measured in the car. While horsepower measures the power generated by the engine, brake horsepower measures how much of the power produced by the engine is sent to the wheels which makes the car accelerate.

From the understanding I presume, that if a engine says , 20Nm@1500rpm and the other engine says 20Nm@4000rpm , it basically means that the engine with 1500rpm with pick up quickly and launch the vehicle quickly as it don't need much Revs or Acceleration to the engine meaning quicker launch , however if the engine says 20BHP@5000RPM and other engine says 20BHP@8000RPM it means that the peak power will be produced by the engine at respective RPMs , so the engine with 20bhp@8000rpm with have more top speed than the engine with 20bhp@5000rpm.... that's what I understand so far...I might be little wrong with the bhp and rpm relation
