The kind of comparison you are talking about is not feasible....No matter how much you test or take a mechanic or do whatever there are still certain aspects you can never know unless it gives an issue...for example...I have been dealing in second hand cars for a long time now and when I purchased a car recently the car was absolutely fine outer, engine electricals but then after two weeks I saw oil leakage from the gear box when I took the car to the mechanic even he didn't know what's wrong and he is one of the people who always inspects the car for me..later when we open the gear box we came to know that the gear box had been done properly and was nicely rapped up with m seal to avoid leaking for few weeks...I will end here with my suggestion it's better to go for a new car if you can but then if your budget doesn't allow try to take second hand cars from known people or better take a risk that's all coz a second hand it's a 50/50 probability u can get a very good car at the same time you can get a screwed up car which is done properly and once you have paid it's all done and dusted unless you have an agreement documented that if things go back within a time frame they will bear the charges which I don't think anyone would agree...
