@@condior_4444 pole dancers wear clothes that reveal more skin because it actually helps them not slide off the pole. The bare skin helps them have a better grip. It keeps them safe. That being said some dancers do use this art form to express themselves sexually when they otherwise can’t in their daily life. I don’t think we should demonize it, but that’s my personal opinion.

Pole dancing isn't a sexual thing but it can be. Pole dancing is expresing ur body the way you feel on a pole. It doesen't have to be hyped music it can be sad, chill, anything u want. Just express yourself the way u want!❤️

I feel like pole dancing isn't really sexual. It is just a beautiful way to express emotions. It is a form of dancing and yet society tells us that this is just sexual.

@@JB-is4pm kinda agree. I don't think belly dance is sexualized that much or even taken that seriously. Its more like a "I try to be sexy but end up looking weird" kinda thing for most people. Culturally it's a whole another meaning. Its limited to that 🤷🏼♀️

Aber ich habe schon die Erfahrung gemacht (ungefähr 7 Jahre in einer Gruppe getanzt), dass Leute denken es sei wie Strippen. Ich hab immer wieder von Leuten, sogar Kollegen o.ä. die schiefsten Blicke und dümmsten Fragen bekommen. Aber ja, du hast Recht, auch durch die Globalisierung der Kultur, Medien, etc. werden Leute gebildet, was das Thema angeht. Pole Dance wird dennoch wesentlich mehr sexualisiert, da stimme ich zu.

Don't give up! I couldn't do a single push up a year ago, now I can do at least 12 in a row. You just need to push forward and practice, amazing changes don't just happen overnight. You can do it!

I just absolutely love how pole dancing has become an expression of beauty. I was a dancer back in the day and I loved doing pole tricks and dancing. I had one DJ tell me that he had never seen anybody with such stage presence. I took my art very seriously. I paid extra to the DJ to make sure that my songs were played.
This girl is incredible! She's strong she's elegant, and really brings forth the beauty and femininity along with the strength that dancing with a pole requires. It really makes me miss it. So if you ever want to do it, go take a class! I wish I could have. I had to learn all my pole tricks on my own. :-)!

I like to watch It, too. She is amazing. But I wouldn't mind if she wears à shorty or à legging as we can see all her body parts in all différent angles possible.
Cause that's how it started, in the stripper biz they had to give the girls somethin to hold on to so they weren't as vulnerable to getting swept off stage and mauled by their crowd. That's why older generations have entwined pole dancing with stripping even though nowadays we have global competitions - one day might be in the Olympics!

Maybe it is also because of this pole they wrap around, it is kind of phallus-like. And they show their leg variations from every possible angle not just from the floor. That may carry a sensual/sexual connotation. However, it also depends on the costumes, the moves and the surroundings. So it is great it is becoming an art form in its own right... taken out of the original context.
@@marjorie2521 the bare skin is important for grip - just look at the parts toward the end where all her weight is supported by gripping with her upper thighs and imagine trying to do that in spandex. Pretty sure you’d just slide right off. Anyway it’s just a body, we all have one, and within the same gender the same basic bits.
I’m learning to pole dance by our dance instructor. This has lots of muscle put into it, so it can be frustrating, but it’s awesome! Though I do get judged for it sometimes since I’m a male, but overall, this is art. ^^

As a teenager, I don’t see anything sexual about this. It’s art and a sport that deserves to be recognized and not as over-sexualized and taboo as it is. Sure it can be sexy, but there’s a lot of strength and grace required to pull of moves like this. Even though I’m young, I’ve always been interested in the art of pole dancing, and won’t let the stigma get in my way of eventually taking classes and feeling confident about myself and my abilities. Love yourself and your art, because you have to learn somehow. ;)
