If they make the boss this hard, they need to either put in as many health refills as other levels, or make it that after each stage of the boss, you reload to that stage, not the beginning of the whole fight
I agree on the whole reload that stage not the fight
Shoot I remember them old Genesis and SNES days where we had no memory card or anything and a lot of them games were a huge challenge..

I picked easy difficulty to "enjoy the story", but Ed 209 and the old man are ridiculous, not enjoying the story when I have to retry a dozen times 😂
There is kind of a way to nerf the fight a little bit. During the first part, if you keep running around the center area, you can wait until he comes around a corner and shoot him a little bit, then run some more and basically rinse and repeat until the second part of the battle. Also, if he gets your health down during the first part, dont heal use your sheild and wait for your health to get back up to 20% if you dont have the 75% perk which i did not have. When you reach part 2, stick by the van and heal yourself one time. Keep running around it, and every time he charges past, it turns around and uses slow motion to hit his weak spot. It may take a while. When you get to part 3, heal. For this, I basically ran from 1 side to the other and would wait for him to charge before using slow motion and hitting him. There are also a couple of health canisters on the ground, so grab them because you will probably need them during this part. Use dash to help get you from one end of the arena and use your shield to help reduce damage. I did this fight way too many times, but this it what i did, and i managed to beat it on hard. I hope this helps.

How they made this boss with no checkpoints is shocking
For real try to get this damn boss like five times and so closed to killing him but of course I'm dead so either take another break and get on another game
this is the hardest boss ever.
You have to change your circuit chip.. there are ones that have automatic pistol option with no reload... it's a must!!
The chip mini game I just don't understand. I can upgrade a lil but I can't perfect a board.
I thought it was the easiest boss in the game.

Use you’re whole arsenal I struggled with him but then I started using my shield after he bumm rushes me then I go slow mo after, don’t forget about slow mo.
I really enjoyed this game but this boss was absolute ass. Terrible way to end the game

Its annoying cause he defeats me every times we get to the lower level and the last checkpoints right at the bloody beginning why didn't they put quicksave option or autosave once you get to second level
the gun motherboard with amor piercing and auto reload is a must. This has to be equipped to deal a lot of damage to him. Also in the parking lot fight, just run around the van and get him.
CRT monitors do more damage than Robocop's gun. 😛

I wish I had a rocket launcher, heavy machine gun, grenade launcher and a cobra rifle to destroy it
All I can advise is, have the fully automatic pistol, don't use any health regenerations in the first level in the office, try not to use any in the garage either, maybe two max if u have to. Try to make use of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns if u can. Throw stuff at him. But how u beat it after many attempts was saving 5 health regens for the 3rd and final fight with this boss.
You have to change your circuit chip! There is one that has continuous feed and no reload for your pistol! It's a must!!
How do you get that chip/ put it in? (PS5 player)

This is a tough boss fight for me even on easy 😮
I know right like a played this level and retried it like 100 times already and I still can't beat it.
@Beertime360 I've just done it earlier. It was essential to chuck tvs at him chairs, anything , keep your distance , but most importantly, whatever it takes UPGRADE Your auto 9 ! You need auto fire and to increase the damage. Once you go down a level to the next mini checkpoint , chuck bikes at him , use the heavy weapons and again keep your distance. There is health on the 3rd and final section.
Just keep using the dash feature too when the boss runs at you. You don't want him grabbing you.

Very helpful, 5thanks for posting. I get down too the base level, then get killed. Course I've only been playing against the old man maybe 20+ times last night. And get halfway.
You can stun him with your electric attack (from upgrading yourself). And you can have a shield from upgrades too. There’s also a grenade launcher on one of the floors.
I’m on hard and it’s so ridiculous, can’t believe they make you go back to beginning of the fight even if you’re on the last stage. 😭
I can't beat him every time i get him down to the basement and i die or system failure i start from the beginning again which sucks big time cause i got to start all over again which is really frustrating.. i Absolutely love this game

@axemansjazz6670 it was on easy bud....and I can assure you,it wasn't easy...the game seemed to ramp it up. In the end I got sick of it.
@axemansjazz6670 no probs...I got through the rest of the game ok,but come to very last boss, and it just notched up a few levels...it was either,smash my ps5,or delete the game...I chose delete the game... 🤣🤣🤣

I had to change my difficulty to normal instead of hard. Change my chipbtobwhere I had full auto and 59 damage to armor. Used slo mo. Armor. Threw computers and explosives at him and didn't use any of my health packs until the 3rd round. Now I'm going to start my new game plus, and it has another difficult level. Great game for real
Robocain is the most frightening robot ever designed.
This is awful. The end fight feels unplayable. No idea if it’s always been like this or because of the latest update. But right now it has ruined a great game.
Game was decent, too many glitches
This shit made me stop playing the game, you just get shot; no real way to avoid it, they don’t give you shit for weapons or health.
Did it on hard first attempt last night, just need to have max vitality so you regen to 75% and concentrate your chip upgrades on full auto and armour piercing, on the level with the motorbikes I used the the van as cover and went around and around it shooting him, that 75% vitality comes in to its own then even if he grabs you a few times. I can’t see how it could be done without the vitality perk maxed though so hard lines if you didn’t upgrade Robo that way
So difficult to complete. I didn’t know Robo has an EMP? Where do you enable that and how to activate it? Thanks
You have to level up your combat and if you get the final upgrade on combat, it’ll let you kill some enemies with your showwave rather than flash lights at them.
Had the old man beat getting ready to finish him off then it crashed had to start over tough boss lot of button smashing
Upgrade your gun to fully auto and no reload and fire at will!
Ok I got it (on normal) by getting fullo auto, and as high as i could on armour piercing. Dodged it every time he tried to make a hole, and used focus, shield and shockwave to help. Concentrated on firing right into the 'weak spot'. Had ran out of OCP health refills by the last part, but there was one right behind where you start.
Even then, had to concentrate, and I had maxxed out combat and armour skills!
I pretty much did what you did. Difficulty and all. I didn't have Shockwave though. I'm about to start my new game plus now
How come I started this fight with absolutely nothing😂
I'm absolutely livid. I'm on easy difficulty and i've came this far with 0 struggle. All of a sudden i'm forced to fight a multi part boss fight with no checkpoints. There's no way the devs actually tested the final boss on easy and said "yep that's perfect". Majority of soulsborne bosses are easier than this boss on EASY. What an absolute waste. I've gotten to the final 10% of health only to be softlocked in a bug where i'm unable to turn left or right. 4 months after release. Forced to go all the way back to the start of a 10 minute fight. Insanity. The bug has happened 3 times in a row. There are even times where I can't shoot my weapon until I swap to the other weapon and back. It's madness how unpolished this game is. This is why I need to be more careful when playing AA games. They tend to have some very very very questionable decisions made that more experienced bigger developers don't because they can't afford to. Lesson learnt. If a game seems buggy and unpolished, it probably is.
Godamn this game is buggy as fuck, why have there been no patches?!
Remember, this is a AA studio game. They don’t have a major budget like AAA game studios do.
Don’t worry though, they are working their hardest to patch everything and make the game run good for everyone.

This ruined the game for me. You only have a pistol and a few weapons with little ammo. Same with the other bosses it takes too long to kill them.
I found if you go around the offices counter clockwise you can take cover by a wall use the slowdown and pop off a few shots because of the where the angle of the radiation cap is.
This game was fun till the end literally have no health at all to save you or help out and their no damn checkpoint which was bullshit I was like are you fucking kidding me and I've been playing this damn game for like 20 hours now last point was only 8 hours in the game I basically done now
Mess with the chip boards I upgraded the level 4 chip board beat him with the auto 9 in like 5 mins
