Also: More work on the Rover P5, the 1960 Fury headliner is almost there, and the Ferrari 308 gets a short shakedown... Jim and Alex stopped in to help open some of your mail, too!

Coldwarmotors: Originator of the often duplicated "Will it Run" phenomenon and still the best at it!
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I like how calm and collected Scott is
scott and the agents own "will it run" without a doubt
Damn straight! CWM is the apex of Will It Run video fare. Accept no substitute! Nothing is cooler than coercing an old, roached-out vehicle to run and drive after 50 or 60 years of dormancy.
" Oh wait, no plug wires"
Nearly spit out my breakfast beer.
Yeah I kept waiting for him to see ZERO plug wires but he didn't until much later, ha ha!
Haaahahaha it’s four here and I dumped my” Samige “ on that one. Scott you’re to much sometimes !!
Yeah, and missin' a couple of plugs too. But he poured a little gas and a Hail Mary! Gonna need a little divine assistance there! I Love this Channel :-D
I think Scott's (Alcohol Low) light was on when he missed the plug wires being off. He gave the inventory on features and trim but plug wires seemed to unimportant until the epiphany.
I thought they were missing.:)
“you don’t hear that on Hoovie’s Garage” lol!
I sub to Hoovie and CWM and I doubt I'll ever hear the same thing said on both channels. 😁😁🍺 What would be the odds? ::::::giggle:::::
I'm a long time sub. You continually remind me of an encounter from years ago. I was asked, "Does anyone in your family suffer from mental illness?" To which I answered, "No, we enjoy every minute of it!" You are all wonderfully warped.
"MO" is a runner. Love to see this get some love. Thanks guys!!
Mo the Savoy :)
That Plymouth never really had a choice! It's not a question of "will it run", but rather "when will it run".
I realise now I watch CWM like a brilliant TV series. I wait until that moment on U.K. time Saturday evening sit down chill out and thoroughly enjoy the Canadian craziness that is Cold War Motors. Long may it stay that way
Thanks for all the fun, entertainment and learning as always
PS. I wrote this before the mail opening! Comment regarding searching for TV content (great minds think alike)
Keith same here Sunday morning coffee in bed straight on the CWM much to my wife’s sadness lol it’s a great show I never miss an episode
"Well you don't hear THAT on Hoovies fucking garage"
Coffee / keyboard interface moment right there but absolute class you guys!
And never a truer set of words was said .. 👍👏
Frankers says, " I'm helping. Aren't I helping?"
Frankers tearing apart foam, tail wagging, enjoying herself.
Scott: "Are you gonna clean that up?"
Frankers: (tail stops wagging)
I guess that's a no. :DD
Fun to see the Savoy start up and roll!!
Headliner is looking good!
The emblem on that Plymouth, showing the sailing boat.....Was the first settlement in north America and called Plymouth Rock in the year 1620 showing the first boat the Mayflower and two Indians holding food for the settlers well here this might help explain it better...Plymouth Rock, granite slab upon which, according to tradition, the
Pilgrim Fathers stepped first after disembarking from the Mayflower on
December 26 1620, , at what became the colony of New Plymouth, the first permanent European settlement in New world America....Thanks for all of the updates and how about that old Plymouth runner.....!
The spice of my Saturday night beer is here again, right on time.
I thought yesterday that is Saturday and I see the Show. When it was Friday, I had to drink beer. Well, it was just nice. Today is the Showtime and I still have beer left. I am happy. Thanks Canada. I am Finnish, but my daughter lives there. In two months she will come to Finland and we will eat pancakes and ice cream. Maybe we’re driving in my 1970 Plymouth Fury , even though he finds me crazy when I like old cars. Good weekend everyone. Thanks!!
I hope you can come visit Canada. Scott can take you around Alberta and I can show you around British Columbia!
@@kimchipig
that would be a real dream. I have never been to the American continent. Next autumn, my daughter will move to the state of Ohio. My son-in-law is playing hockey. When it becomes easier to travel again, I will fly there. I also want to visit Canada and see you people, and the law is different there than in Finland. When relaxing with friends . I'm on pension I have time. I try to save money for the trip. I'm a pretty poor.
@Baron von Zach This time I had a Danish beer. I stopped drinking vodka, but beer is a bit like bread.
Finns and Chryslers, Chryslers with fins. Mopars have always had a following in Finland, no?
Sounds like a great breakfast! And I love the Fury of the 50s 60's and early 70's! It's awesome for you to have a great American tank of a Fury all of the way across the pond, it must get lots of attention when you bring her out cruising! Spring will be around the corner soon enough to enjoy the Fury again!
Cheers ! My weekend is complete !! Sweet old Plymouth
I love how the 1956 Plymouth came back to life. For something that has not been in use for a long time, she still runs well. Spring is just around the corner so plenty of opportunity's to fix her.
My weekend is complete. It takes a lot of energy, but, please do persevere.. I appreciate your service, and lack there of, is ugly. I assure you, you’re the best.
Scott, Thanks for headliner update on the Fabulous Fury. I think the Savoy warrants a closer inspection on a future episode. That car has potential....seems to be in the same level of respected repair as the Fraser when you first got it. Personally I have to give it to Chrysler engineering for the low cost fin add on to update the car for 1957. Rover is getting closer , cant' wait to see the primer and sealer go on. I am guessing the tires for the Honda ATV cost 10 times what it is worth, but oh well....it would not have been right to not get it back on it's feet again. Lastly, looking for an update on 60 Impala.
Love watching you and your friends bring old iron back to life. Many years ago, I got to do the body work and paint on a model T, then a model A for a neighbour. I had no formal training... self taught....
Most look forward show every week
A Ferrari being driven in the snow ... CLASSIC !!!
Yes show us more "Will it Run" off the CWM used car lot.
When the graphic "it's a runner" appears on the screen, I am filled with happiness. Another old motor awoken from its long sleep.
The Real Steel book brings back memories. When I was about 12, I read that book so much it fell apart. It's probably a big part of why I love this channel.
I always enjoy finding an answer to "Will it run?" no matter the car or truck. Whenever I see an old vehicle beside a barn or similar scene, I always wonder, does it have a motor, is it complete, is there a battery, any fuel in it? Would the owner mind if I tried to start it? Always a joy to see old engines come to life in a flurry of dust, cobwebs and mouse turds flying in the fan wash! Great segment! And another trip back in time in the Mail Bag...another coldwarmotors evening well spent in our typical March blizzard moving through Southern Colorado. Anticipation of spring! 😉👍
........... the recommendation of the day : "it's not even terrible" !
I absolutely love “will it run?” and “first start in __ years” videos! They’re the reason I began watching Cold War Motors so long ago. Thanks so much for the wonderful video!
keep it up
I certainly enjoyed the Plymouth revival. Perhaps we can have a follow up full service and economy repair of the water pump and brakes (hone-a-thon)? Maybe even a "Tidy", tune-up and tires? Is there a chance she could make it to the road when it dries up? I see a potential side-kick for the trusty Frazer. Looking good at the supermarket. A Poly-Head V8 and a Powerflite... how modern. It's a keeper.
Thank you to 5he subscribers that send all the Kool stuff! And the $$$!
The 56 start was great! The work on the P5 Rover, fantastic!
And you are becoming quite the ulpulster Scott. Nice. The Ferrari. Good to see it up and going.
A big thank you to the Agents, to you Scott for sharing the videos! Enjoy them all!
The Savoy is telling you Scott...
Save Me Please. Started like she wants to roll again,, Your New Daily Driver worth throwing a Part or 2 at it this Spring.. Even with Spark plugs missing..for years
Yes I love this car... it's like new. And it does not require major work.
MoPar madness
Love that old Betty, she just fires up and aside from wanting to toss the fan through the radiator she is a mover. LOVE that engine
Once again, I’m at work on a Saturday machining parts and watching CWM. Life is good.
Giving an entirely new definition to the term "cold start"
Its a old start
I really like the 1956 Plymouth Savoy; my Dad had one just like it when I was a kid. I hope you get it back on the road.
My Saturdays would not be the same without Cold War Motors!
Frankers styroeater and#ColdWarMotors on air 📺▶️. Another Saturday evening officially completed.
For me in Aotearoa it's 10am Sunday morning.good coffee pot, choice breakfast, altered intake and Frankers mob.My Corgi -Jack,interacts with Frankers every week
Id love to have that 56 sedan!! Id get the thing road worthy and run it as is. very cool car and it really seems to have life. that engine sounds strong!! Never was into 2 doors but i also get the 4 door sedans arent worth much money. glad its at least safe from the crusher!! awesome to see it run and drive again!!
Scott, your R5 should wear an elf sticker with pride. Elf was and still is a petroleum company in some parts of europe (although the french company merged with Total and rebranded itself). They sponsered Renault throughout the 70's and 80's in motorsport and I remember my dad recieving a Renault elf rally jacket from the dealer when he collected his R11 Turbo! The dealer stickers always had the elf emblem in the back window. So definitely original equipment. Great seeing a will it start again, and some fun being had with a ferrari. Feel my Saturday is complete now! Many thanks and best wishes from the UK
The Savoy needs to be back on the road. 2x👍
I shed a tear when that Savoy started & kept running...I think someone was grilling onions next door :)
#WillItRun is simply awesome.
Love seeing the old Plymouth running and driving. My earliest memories of cars was the '55 Plymouth we had when I was very young, about 1959-1960 period. Light blue and had a V-8 and 3 speed. Been many years since I have seen one of those around.
I was surprised how solid and relatively complete the '56 Plymouth is. Back when my older brother got his licence in 1965 my dad bought him a 1955 Plaza with the flathead six and three speed manual for $50.00. It was rotted out over the headlights and floor of the trunk had holes in it because of all the salt they used on the roads in the midwest. The Savoy looks like it would make a good winter beater project for next year.
Somewhere in the family archives I have a picture of my parents with their new 1956 Plymouth Savoy 2dr suburban I will send you a copy .
I just don't know why watching and hearing old motors spring back to life is so fulfilling! Boy do you have the old steel sitting around there! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Next daily driver challenge, operation '56 Savoy!
I didn't get a laugh out of the Plymouth Savoy.
I think the car is fkn awesome! I love it!
This is no doubt a classic ride Francine would be proud to take a trip in!
A noble beast. Make it roadworthy, and put plates on it. That V-8 is as steady as a rock.
Don't ever change this! Love it as always.
Look forward to seeing Mo the Plymouth getting some love in the mechanical dept.
Look at FRankers so SWEET Hi Everyone Love Cold war Motors ALWAYS Look FORWARD TO Your Videos 😁😁😁😁😁
I really admire this guy. Keeping these old relics alive is a wonderful thing to do. That fact that they still run is a testimony to how well they were built. Now a days cars are "programmed" to kick the bucket in a prescribed amount of time. It was called "programmed obsolescence" . not these beauties... They were designed to last and last. It was a different time and car manufacturing was geared to last. Today a car disintegrates after only seven years of life. Tgis way the auto industry can somewhat guarantee steady sales. I've only purchased one brand new car in my lige and I'll never do it again. Better to buy a junker every year for less then a grand then be locked into a 300$ monthly car payment and full insurance. Those are only my thoughts. Its expensive enough with all the insurance and lack of ownership. Rather buy a throw away. Anyone else?
That was so cool bringing back the "Will it run" segment . What a show this really is. Bringing laughter and car repair together for the masses to enjoy! Cheers once again.
Elf was a French gasoline company. They sponsored the Formula one team
Yes, Elf Aquitaine provided the official recommend fuel and lubricants for Renault motor vehicles.
"You won't see that on Hoovies F'n Garage will ya?" Best. Quote. Ever. Love you guys and couldn't agree more!!
Another fun fact it's got Wi-Fi spark plug wires
Looks like a little to much air in those 3 wheeler tires. You'll wear out the center tread. Chears guys. Great show
The manual for my Big Red states 1.8 to 2.6 psi in the tires. Takes a special gauge to measure that low.
roosty6 yeah, their basically flat!
Good to see that '56 Plymouth start up! ELF stood for "Essence et Lubrifiants de France" which, according to my terrible french means "French gasoline and oils". ELF is now part of TOTAL oil, the supplier of fluids for my Citroën.
OH WHAT A JOY to see the '56 move under her own Power!! Thanks Scott! Brings my youth to life!
That is a most beautiful segment of your week! Meanwhile, the metal master has done a terrific job on the repair HOWEVER, the explanation and show of how and why IS THE BEST part for me.
Your Buds are the best ever, but Frankers seemed a little anxious this week, not enough playtime?
The '60 headliner is an amazing job done by you, and what an add to the car! Thanks Scott, always worth the wait for me to see the next episode! Appreciate all the edit time. Love the music! Stay well!, Cheers, Rich
I'm tellin' ya, Scott, almost instantly, I fell in love with this four-door Plymsole Savoy you fell into this epic-sode. I wants it so badly my tonsils ache -- but no beans, no sauce, no meat-ball on top, strictly pasta for me these days. Damn! And I love that purple-haze and rust combo, too. But what really does it for me are those tail-fins! To see such on a 56er is just bizarre and wonderful. Please get this one back together and roadable again. Not too much to ask, is it? I mean when did I ever ask you for anything until now, haha? Dirty stinking shape if not. Keep chooglin', man. You're the boss.
Another winning episode. Loved the Savoy segment, the Rover update and more on your great upholstery work. You must be the only channel on RUclips, who could entertain us just with a hour of you and the Agents opening mail. The humour "don't bend it and the first thing you did was bend it" . Wasn't sure if Stephen or Magnum was at the wheel of that beautiful 308 😂😂
I’d love to see all those cars fired up and running at the same time all with just the parking lights on right before sunset. How cool would that be?
The smoke would be visible from space!
My dad bought a 56 Plaza new, later my grandfather bought a 56 Savoy both 2 door 6 cyl. stick shifts. Good memories.
How have we not seen this gem of a car before its a real beauty a good candidate for a restoration. Man that old v8 sounds awesome sounds like my child hood of loving old junker cars
Just to see the “It’s a Runner!” line appearing is pure satisfaction.
I'd love to see more content on the 56. make it another daily driver along with the Frazier.
Its amazing how these old neglected cars "come around" when you start working on them. I honestly think the 56 Savoy is a great old car. But I have a "more door," and I love them and think they are cool. I'd watch more content on the 56 for sure, but then, I'm just here to learn and watch all Coldwarmotors content .
The Savoy is a thing of beauty...
Especially in the dark!
Love it!
Now Scott has next winter's winter beater!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! Glad you did a cold start on the '56 Plymouth.
Well Scott if ya ever get a wife and a bunch of kids, you'll have no shortage of family sedans.
My weekly treat to see the quality work being done on that old Rover P5. Your skills would be much appreciated in the UK!
We start the video with Ms. Francine happily destroying some foam, tail wagging.
Scott: "Well, that's nice - are you going to clean that up?"
Francine attempts to look innocent, and tail slowly stops wagging. 🤣
You can't beat the Cold War Motors brand of humor. This episode was another in a series of great ones: the mail from all over (some people were even kind enough to send a few bucks for snacks), all of the updates to the cars, and I really appreciated the Savoy being able to take a short run around under its own power. Really cool stuff - even if it needed a little help getting out of bed. Cheers!
How many other places do you see a mint Ferrari running around in the winter. That Plymouth sure runs good.
I'm thinking the 56 was parked because of waterpump?
Don't see much else could have caused it.
A lubrication change, a Dean tidy, check the brakes and you look like you have another running car.
Restomod the matchbook🤣.
Scott looks at a 50.....” hey look they put Kenny Rogers on it”. Classic CWM.
Yes, thank you so much for the savoy will it start. I would very much love the chance to restore that car.
Love the 56 Plymouth. I like the hour long episodes. How's Tom haven't seen him lately. Cheers to everyone at cold war motors.
Plymouth Savoy: life in the old dog yet? Could be a neat car.
You guys have to throw a massive backyard coming out party for the 60 Fury when she is done.
Yes something like they had for the 57 Belvedeer in Tulsa, OK. In 2007!
A new will it start first competition would be amazing. Loved the last one. I imagine it’s a tuff video project but it was super amazing and entertaining
Love the Plymouth Dean! I can see that car restored with that unusual violet and ivory color combo. The '56 Fury's have always been a fav of mine (with the exception of those ugly gold hubcaps. Kesley's-Hayes spinners are a must) It's funny how those Ferrari's seemed to be so wild looking in the day. The look rather sedate today.
The opening scene Frankers beautifully demonstrates the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.
"Entropy" where nature seeks a state of maximum chaos and disorganization.
When I was a young tyke, these Savoys (US, not the Canadian variant) in puke aqua splendor were ubiquitous. If I NEVER saw another one, i would be happy. At least this one is not aqua, and it at least has some body trim😑 Edit: Glad it started right up, and that engine sounds strong. Have to wonder why this one was junked, maybe transmission not up to snuff? Savoy or not, I know I'd be running it until it until it couldn't.
SAVOY COOL OLD CAR 😁😁😁😁
TheSavoy should be your next project.
Scott maybe you should add it to your restoration list, afterall it is a56 Plymouth.
still think of Stella often..and i know you do..when one loses a beloved the memory never fades..just a little bit of sorrow...peace and health..
I’d love that Savoy
What a survivor
Great to see it run and drive
Wow the Savoy is alive👍so nice that you take the old cars back to live...thanks!!!
Will it run? Of course, it's a Plymouth. Very cool to see them awakened and given some excercise. Can't wait to see the Fury interior
"This stuff even smells like the old days."
It smells like cigarettes, Vitalis and scotch?
LITER. Must be French.
@@lostintime8651 Non. For the car accessory we say: "Allume-cigare" in French.
Otherwise "lighter"= briquet.
@@stefool But it's "Liter" as in a liter of Cola. lol
...and lead! _Lots of lead._
OMG 😳 vitalis, I used it in the 70s!holy mackerel, I forgot about that, wow, thanks 😊👍 for the memories!!!!
Thoroughly absorbed, beautiful content. Now I sleep. Thanks.
Love the old crusty cold starts!!
The ATC motor sounds like a drum-roll to "Honey, hold my beer"...
Bring ‘em back alive! Another classic blast from the past!
Good afternoon to Scott and the agents. Another outstanding installment!!
I like that portable plexi control panel👍🏻
So excited for another video! I was so surprised and thrilled with how the 1956 Savoy came to life. Glad to see another classic, you saved, saying "thank you!" in its own way. God Bless you guys and making us feel like we are with you and your crew smiling agents! Lewisburg, TN, USA
I say the old Plymouth will make a good contender for the upcoming summer beater challenge.
I noticed the lack of plug wires at the first glance. Glad Scott found the problem too.
