Thank you for creating an informative website and knowledgable youtube videos. This was so desperatly needed as someone who works in animal rescue people turn in animals due to lack of knowledge. So a huge Thank you from all of us chinchilla lovers.
how do you put your chinchilla in the playpen? I have one but my chinchilla's cage isn't inside a room so I can't just let him out and have him run inside I have to grab him and I don't like grabbing him cuz he hates it and I really do want to play with him more although idk how to get him into the playpen.
Personally I have one of those plastic balls that some people get for them to roll around in. even so, DO NOT use it for your chinchilla to roll around in. that is how many chinchillas die. The way I use it is i hold the ball in front of him, he hops in it, i carry him to wherever im putting him, then he hops out on his own. I just use this method because its a really easy way to transport your chinchilla without any contact.
@@superstoney OOO thanks sm!! i actually had a similar idea where i use a pet carrier and carry him to where i want him to be but ive lost it. Thanks for saving me money and time!
@@liu5416I second this, I have a bed that my chin hops in, I carry him to where I want him and he hops out. Then when he’s ready he hops back in and I take him back to his cage :) I also did this with my hamster and it works so well

It took a full year for me to even hold him, it just takes patience

this is actually so reassuring to me. ive had my chinchilla 8 months and he loves me so much but hes so scared when i try to pick him up
