I love this scene. Hurley sticks up for Charlie, especially after Jack calls others "crazy". Hurley knows what it's like to be called crazy when, in reality, he's saner than most.
I loved when Rousseau and Alex meet and acknowledge each other, the firs thing Rousseau asks is will you help be tie him (Ben) up. So sad what happened to BOTH of them. Jack should have heeded Charlie's warning.

Charlie's death led to this, the turning point in the show. The survivors split down the middle and for the rest of the show they were always divided, one way or another. They never fully recover or gather together again...until the ending. And this is what makes the ending so emotionally impactful. It accomplishes in death a healing reconciliation, a reunion that could never have happened in their lives.
This was a crazy twist because Hurley almost always had Jack’s back, for him to side with Locke wasn’t just him listening to Charlie. It showed how fractured the group had truly become.
This is my favorite part of Lost. "... so I'm not listening to you... I'm listening to my friend, I'm listening to Charlie.". Oh the tears, even in 2019
Season 4 of LOST is definitely the most different of the entire show. It was so a game-changer. The show was finally on the backend and you could feel it.
Wonderful & powerfully eloquent speech. Fantastic & brilliant choice of words. This sounds like one of those famous lines of well-known poets & philosophers. I applaud & congratulate you, Hurley!!!!! Btw, superb and on point acting from Jorge Garcia. It poignantly shows his sensitivity and tactfulness. His voice, his whole body language, his facial expressions and gesture are fully charged with emotions. It´s no big surprise that really everybody loves Hurley as well as Jorge.
I LOVE the way Hurley and Claire became a package deal after Charlie's death!! She was the first one to join Locke's side other than Hurley and it only because of her connection to Hurley through their love and friendship to Charlie.
I love how Hugo handled Charlies death. So compassionate and emotional. What's interesting is that Hurley knows that Ben sent those Others dudes and that they were intent on hurting/killing anyone that stood in their way and yet Hugo does not resent Ben. He doesn't even look at Ben angrily. Hugo was always meant to be Jacob's true replacement after Jack did what he was supposed to and stopped/killed the Smoke monster.
@TheEpic22 no, He closed the door because desmond was running to the computer to see penny and he knew that if he let him get to it he wouldn't leave the room in time to live. he sacrificed himself in order for desmond to survive
No he died A. Because he learned he couldn't escape death and B. Because he was told if he died Claire and Aaron would be saved. It had nothing to do with Desmond. He closed the door so Desmond couldn't save him and also so the water wouldn't fill the station.

I can't believe more people didn't listen to charlie I would've thought at least Desmond and Jin and Sun would've went with Locke after Hurley's speech.
@martin miguel that's because jack told Charlie he would probably die if he went, so when Charlie still wanted to go jack knew Charlie had accepted his death in order to help them. Hugo didnt know this so he took it worse
@nonameddog Hurley was always loyal to Jack, and he was genuinely a good guy. It hurt him to go against Jack, and he regretted any hurt feelings he might have caused by going against him publicly. Hence his apology to Jack while back at Santa Rosa.
