Also sawyer decided to give up all his alcohol to save Boone in a heartbeat. He took the guns from Jack and Locke because they couldn’t trust each other nevermind the camps who guns supply. He offered guns to anybody that needed one on a case by case basis (almost like a background check) and when the camp had to go save Walt in the S2 finale, sawyer gives up all the guns without any resistance. When he steals the meds, and somebody needs some, he asks what do they need? Implying he’ll give it if there is a good reason. If Hurley hadn’t of beaten him up in “Dave” then am sure sawyer would have given him the pills if he had some. Hes offered beer if he helps with the dharma van, and he shares the beer with Hurley, Charlie, Jin, and roger, and roger loved dharma beer. Then he throws them a party, sure he’s doing it because Hurley tricked him, because he didn’t want to be banished from the group. Think about that, he’s worried he’ll get rejected from the camp so he tries to be nice to everyone so they’ll vote to keep him. What does that tell you about his feelings for the camp. He cons people to like him, but he doing it for the most honest and relatable reason in life……..he’s trying to be accepted because he doesn’t want to be alone.

Saying that jack got people killed is so unfair,Locke too got people killed , those who went with him to the barraks were all killed, Sawyer too got people killed, when he arrived to the beach, Widmore attacked people who were still with MIB and killed them. So with this same logic, they all got many people killed.
after watching the entire series, i really appreciated sawyers character development a lot. I remember absolutely despising him in the beginning, and then he just becomes a favorite and lovable one by the end of the show.

@@aya4815 so back in the 70s when the hatch was being built jack sided with daniel who claimed if they nuked the construction site the incident that will cause the 108 minute button thing would be prevented and desmond never would’ve caused a system failiure thus the plane never would’ve crashed and they’d all be happy again etc. he thought he could change the future but sawyer disagreed and thought this would kill them all. eventually they did nuke the place but it turned out this was the thing that they would call the incident and that jack unintentianally caused it. the hatch was built and jack turned out to be wrong. sawyer wasn’t right either in the debate tho, the bomb didn’t kill them all and they became able to go back to their time.
Jack was by far my favorite Character hes ego not selfish always trying to help people and even when things blew up and didn't go well he curked up and had a plan to execute what he needed to be done. John and Locke are alot a like in this series both wanted the same things.

Jack is awesome. He tends to get less credit than he deserves. Good guy, with his heart in the right place. But, he had his human weaknesses and flaws, like the rest of us. He was really a well-written and realistic character in many ways. He was messed up in the same ways most people are.

Sawyer was channeling Wayne Jansen, Kate's deceased biological father. That's the only 2 times he was roused enough to speak - He isn't Sawyer - even his voice is different. It spooked Kate enough to run and leave him behind unattended during Shannon's funeral. (People took shifts watching him.) Jack didn't know and misinterpreted it.
Because it was the season where they basically hated each other the most. From Season 2: A) their relationship kinda cooled down; B) Jack began to strongly hate Locke, starting the iconic "Man of Science" vs "Man of Faith" conflict.

As he said 'I'm done taking orders'. Ironically, Later when Jack came back to the island, Sawyer REALLY was the Sheriff lol! I didn't see Sawyer as running around 'intimidating' others but more that he was constantly being blamed for things he had nothing to do with (the missing water. the missing inhalers, poisoning Michael etc) simply because he had an abrasive personality and he basically just let people think whatever they wanted about him because he didn't care. if i was on that island, i sure as hell wouldn't be taking orders/attitudes from Jack either! Sawyer became the Han Solo Equivalent Anti-Hero of the show! Plus Jack's treatment of Locke was appalling! Locke (Rose too) was the only person who knew from day one of the plane crash that the island was special! I hated Jack as the lead character and always will. I believe the main character should have been Locke....he didn't know how to lead & at times made some crazy decisions (that he admitted to afterwards) but if you re-watch that show Jack was wrong about almost EVERYTHING! Locke was the one who had the belief in destiny and truly understood The Island! Locke>Jack (& Sawyer>Jack too)

The last scene doesn't really fit here. It was the time when Jack actually was intimidated by Sawyer, right after seeing the way Kate cared for him and him mumbling about love for her
Sawyer was channeling Wayne Jansen, Kate's deceased biological father. That's the only 2 times he was roused enough to speak - He isn't Sawyer - even his voice is different. It spooked Kate enough to run and leave him behind unattended during Shannon's funeral. (People took shifts watching him.) Jack didn't know and misinterpreted it.

Because it was the season where they basically hated each other the most. From Season 2: A) their relationship kinda cooled down; B) Jack began to strongly hate Locke, starting the iconic "Man of Science" vs "Man of Faith" conflict.

i know it was so clear Sawyer was so much smarter. Jack acted on Impulse and always needed an explanation and never listened to reason cause jack had to always * SEE SHIT WITH HIS OWN EYES!!!! That's true. But the thing is tho it was Sawyer's nature to intimidate others. That was his character. A con who tried to take advantage of others any way he could. He resembled like a school bully. While Jack was like the school kid who would stand up to a bully, so sawyer's intimidation method worked on others didn't work on Jack ^^ I loved how they were complete opposites in this series till the very end but they always wound up fighting side by side together.
Scott Caan Jack was an arrogant, bossy pain in the ass, in my opinion and to a great deal of the rest of the audience as well! that was ONE of the reasons why Sawyer pulled his 'little stunt' with the guns. As he said 'I'm done taking orders'. Ironically, Later when Jack came back to the island, Sawyer REALLY was the Sheriff lol! I didn't see Sawyer as running around 'intimidating' others but more that he was constantly being blamed for things he had nothing to do with (the missing water. the missing inhalers, poisoning Michael etc) simply because he had an abrasive personality and he basically just let people think whatever they wanted about him because he didn't care. if i was on that island, i sure as hell wouldn't be taking orders/attitudes from Jack either! Sawyer became the Han Solo Equivalent Anti-Hero of the show! Plus Jack's treatment of Locke was appalling! Locke (Rose too) was the only person who knew from day one of the plane crash that the island was special! I hated Jack as the lead character and always will. I believe the main character should have been Locke....he didn't know how to lead & at times made some crazy decisions (that he admitted to afterwards) but if you re-watch that show Jack was wrong about almost EVERYTHING! Locke was the one who had the belief in destiny and truly understood The Island! Locke>Jack (& Sawyer>Jack too)

Secondly I did watch the show, and jack didn't always make the right decision but he definetly made group decisions that were smarter, better and more helpful for everyone than Sawyer. That's why the group picked him as leader and why both Kate and Juliet fell for him. He had baggage like everyone else tho not a crime . Sawyer thought about his and only his survival until like s3. Third of all, Sawyer was a con man who slept with women to get their money, abandoned his child, and he treated Kate like a sex object when he first met her all because of... what happened to him as a kid? becuz that's such a healthy approach. Lastly "Sawyer" might have done these horrible things but James in the later seasons became a better person as I said. You might wanna rewatch the show yourself.
