just a question ..i now got myself this clay and i m building car models out off carton box and cover them with matchsticks but now i want to replace the matchsticks with this clay instead.. i hope it will automatically glue it s self on the carton model..If you want to see what i m talking about go to Facebook search matchcraft, youl see the porch i builded with matchsticks..how well does the clay stick on carton box?

What’s the use of mod podge?
Can I use varnish or nail coat instead?
Thank you 😘 Mod podge works as a sealer for clay. It also makes it more shiny. Of course you can use varnish. That's even better option as varnish will make the waterproof protective layer on clay.

Also don’t use nail varnish or nail polish cause sometimes it turns yellow after a long time.

It usually takes 48h to dry. Sometimes even longer. I also turn the object around few times during the process of drying. That way you make sure it drys evenly 😊

Which glue did you use? I tried to use hot glue and didn’t work
I've used just normal hot glue. Maybe use gorilla hot glue which is a little bit better or small amount of superglue 😉
What paper did u put on the table?
I'm using baking paper. Because of its texture, is easy to remove and work with clay on it.
How long does the clay take to dry
At least 48h. You can always put it closer to the radiator but not too close as clay might start cracking. Also depending on the humidity in your room. But always make sure clay is fully dry before applying any paint or varnish. ☺
Hey, do you use watercolors or acryile for painting clay? 😊
I'm using acrylic paint but watercolors will be fine as well. Only make sure to let the paint fully dry before applying another coat. :)

For 1kg is about £5 which is $6.70
