@@vinayk8463 Hi, is the laptop still giving problems with temperatures?
@@alboz1327 currently it looks okay. But annoyed by the loud fan most of the times.
Hi, I bought 7i with 16GB RAM, 1TB ROM, i7 11th Gen processor. The minute I plugged in with charger and started initial setup I could observe the backside of laptop near exhaust getting warmer. Even the charger adapter is very hot.
Worried if this is at it first time or frequent occurring issue.
How is your laptop now?
Thanks for the review. very detailed and I feel confident about my choice.
Update today: while closing the lid today, the left hinge somehow came out and protruded out to the display cracking the display on the left bottom corner. I must say pretty bad quality. It was handled sophistically, never a force was used since I have another Dell laptop so this laptop was used for only a few hours weekly for personal use. very disappointing.
Just bought one of these. Really nice 15". Quick. Nice keyboard.
I should have watched more reviews before I bought one but is there anyway to make the screen even a bit better. The colors and sharpness are far inferior to my old surface pro. All the colors and lines are so dull it's almost impossible to look past.
Hi, that price of 1000 $, is it CAD price? Is there a version in this model with numeric keypad? Thank you for this review, very interesting. :)
Hi, I'm using the T480s i7 8 gen with 24GB of RAM... my average RAM usage is 65-70% , I'm wondering how will 16GB of RAM will be for the same activates that I'm doing today.. will the newer CPU fill the gap of the lack of RAM? (I'm always connected to 4K@60hz via TB3.0 port monitor which I suspect taking a lot of my RAM since it's intel HD graphics)
Does it have a microphone? In the lenovo site it says webcam with no built in mic.
I just got this for my work and so far, so lovely!
Is Ram upgradable
Thanks for this review. Looking forward to the i9 (15"?) review also.
I bought this laptop yesterday and the bestbuy gave me the bamboo ink and it drags and connects the letters, what pen are you using?
Does this laptop include a stylus...?!
If yes...does it have a port for this in the laptop or is provided seperately!?
Which one you would choose the Lenovo - Yoga 7i 2-in-1 15.6" Touch Screen Laptop - Intel Evo Platform Core i7 - 12GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive - Dark Moss
Or the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop - Apple M1 chip - 8GB Memory - 256GB SSD (Latest Model) - Gold?
Or the
Samsung - Galaxy Book Flex Alpha 2-in-1 13.3" QLED Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 12GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Royal Silver?
I own and am using this device (but i7 and 16 gig memory) for over three weeks now. pretty cool product engg. from lenovo
Can i ask a question? When i draw or write sth with its pen and if my hand touch the screen, is it happen some random sticks on screen?
@@gulnur8960 interesting ! I have not had this double tap / touch problem so do not know.
It's a thumbs up from me, thanks Lisa :) Merry xmas.
Sorry to hear about that keyboard. I have a yoga 2 pro....I wonder if it's similar because this would be for my wife and she doesn't like my keyboard.
👀 I enjoyed your review. I appreciate your thoughts and presentation. Blessings on your day.
I wonder if you overclock the CPU and give it more juice if it would result in better graphical performance.
How is linux compatibility?
Can you consider this over T14 for long term use as IT developer work??
Pls help
Can this handle dual external monitors? We have the laptop docked into a Thunderbolt 3 essential dock and the DisplayPort isn't working and I was just wondering can the laptop handle dual external monitors?
I bought the 7i 14" six days ago on sale at Best Buy for $649. I like everything about it except for the screen. The screen has a horrible contrast ratio. It looks cartoonish and grainy. My 2017 budget model Lenovo Flex 5 has a much better screen. I think I will be taking the 7i back to Best Buy in the next few days when get a chance.
Usually Yoga has better screens than flex, weird.
@@alboz1327 I ended up keeping it. I have become accustomed to the screen, but still feel it could have been better. All in all it has been a good computer over the last 9 months or so, other than getting a little warmer than I would like to see.
@@randycupp5925 Fair enough. Pen input feels good? Does it get warm even with simple tasks such as note taking?
@@alboz1327 I just have an aftermarket pen with a rubber tip. But it does well.
It mainly just heats up when I have many screens open or using a lot of RAM.
How is this laptop after 2 years????
Heard there was many hardware issues with it.. is it true?
I have had mine for 2 yrs and it's running as good as it always has.
I have a question about the battery's, since Lenovo can cap battery charging at 60%, is it better to do that and then just use AC power? Or is it better to take out the AC and just use battery power? I noticed the laptop warms up little bit while plugged in, but I don't know if it's so warm it damages it or not..

Awww...you didn't do a drawing review to test the pen for wobbles/jitters.
Was thinking about returning this for a lenovo legion. Can I play casual gaming on this?
Does anyone know how the 12GB version's ram is configured? Is the first 8gb dual channel and the remaining 4 GB single channel?
Because I don't think they make 6GB ram modules even if it's soldered on...
Hello all, does anybody can help me to activate again the touchscreen display... It was working normally and after a week I restarted my laptop and all works except the touchscreen, I can not scroll the documents or throught the web site... Maybe something with the controllers happened but I don't know too much about how to fix it.
Somebody can help me with this? Thanks!
Thank you for your candidness.
The integrated graphics will always perform slightly under the i7 due to it only have 80 cu instead of the 96 on the i7.
Hey, I just bought this computer and I am having an odd issue. When I close the lid, or put it into sleep mode the fans try to kick on. Sometimes they will stay on for a few seconds, and other times (like if its plugged in) the fans will continuously turn on and off. Any suggestions?
Sometime they need to evacuate residual heat before going completely to sleep
Which one is better? Yoga 7i or HP Envy x360 11th gen?
Definitely Yoga. Works better, plus colour is prettier.
@@funtime7212 thanks!
Left Hinge broke a year into use and cracked the screen around May 2022. This happened to almost all buyers of this model and Lenovo is acting like it was nothing to be concerned about. Avoid this design!
Mine is 2 yrs old and nothing is wrong with it. Runs as good as the day I bought it.
Hi I'd like to buy a convertible but can't decide
between yoga 7i and elitebook x360 and zenbook
flip...SOS
I think there were an AMD version w mx350 first came out, which is impossible to find.
Hi, how do I find what model my Lenovo pc is? I can't find any pictures on Google
would this be good for autocad and asta power project/primavera 6 ? Thanks in advance
Great review as always.
Has anyone else who bought a Lenovo Yoga 7i 15.6" had a issue with the display blacking out and then looks fuzzy when it comes back up in a few seconds, if so how did you fix it?
Can you review the 13 inch yoga duet 7i detachable tablet
