if you do have an electrician come, have him install a NEMA 14-50 outlet! It can charge the model 3 at a rate of 30 miles per hour instead of the single digits you get with a regular wall outlet!!
Still slow lol
MauriceNL a NEMA 14-50 is way better than a regular wall outlet
@@chrisdiaz2557 Yea, no shit
MauriceNL 30 miles range per hour is plenty fast to charge for daily driving. I’ve been doing it for almost a year in my Model 3. Even if you drove your car 250 miles a day it would be fully charged when you woke up in the morning.
This^
Valet mode locks your frunk, glovebox, trunk, and reduces the speed of your car when you activate it. Perfect for when you give it to a valet/stranger.
I think it also reduces maximum kW output, so you will not be able to do crazy accelerations
I bet Cameron Frye would have loved that valet feature on his dad's Ferrari.
And it deaktivates the "tablet" so they cant use it
xXPhilipXx xXlazarovXx oh really? Cool.

if you have an electrician install a new outlet, DO NOT tell him it is for a Tesla because he will charge you more because he will think you have money
Unless the car is in a different location, he'll clearly see it when he arrives.
Travis McGowan The idea is to arrange a set price/quote before they arrive, thus no Tesla bias
That's a maybe, not a guarantee... It's nice to have faith in people. Secondly, she should get a Tesla Home Connector to charge the car quicker than an eternity from a standard 110V home socket so they'll notice what they're installing and it'll be QUITE clearly marked Tesla...
@@johnmacward if they're renting the house then it might not be the best investment
Good advice @Jacob H. Yes if you mentions its for a Tesla there will be a "Tesla Tax" added to the hourly rate. Say its for a dryer.
5:40 made me scream out loud, the poor brand new Tesla's trunk is hitting the garage door 😣
I've done that to my own car, couldn't stop think about it for days. Watch out next time! 😣
Jacob Johansson yesss! I thought i was the only one who saw that. I cringed so hard.
me too
is she gets the auto-open trunk (new struts) it would actually be a little lower and perhaps won't hit the garage door when open ;)
ruclips.net/video/o5Dun6iNnoY/видео.html … i1Tesla - Brian is awesome and has all the best mods forModel3
Thumbnail, laying on the hood with jeans (which have rivets on) and shoes... and you cringe about trunk door ?
@@MrTchou thought about that aswell tbh, but can't complain about everything;)
This is why Tesla doesn’t have to do advertisement, because the community does an amazing job doing it for them🙌🏻⚡️🏎
Have your electrician put a 240 volt 50 amp dryer outlet in the garage for you. We did that before I got my Model 3 last year. Make sure the outlet fits with the big adapter they gave you. 240 volts will give you 30 miles per hour instead of 6. Congrats on the car and welcome to the family!
do u buy a charger also ?
@@BlkInc1 No, the car comes with the charger cable. It should also come with a 120 and 240 adapter.
Technically most dryer outlets are 30A 3 prong and more recently 4 prong. The car charging outlet is an RV outlet.

I own two .. I 100 % recommend a Tesla
oh you're here hi
You need to look up on tips and tricks on model 3.
Like you can open charge port with the button on the cord, or just tap the charge port door.
There are hundreds of little things about a model 3 that makes it easy to use.
Get a nema plug if you can, only cost $500 .
Or you can buy a tesla wall charger for $500 and it will charge you call to full in about 4-6 hours
But don't charge to full every night. Tesla recommends charging to 90% regularly to avoid battery degradation. Charge to full before a long trip only.
@@Gogoelecktrick Wall charger is convenient but a little expensive. Inexpensive is to buy the $25 14-50 adapter for the charger set that came with the car and have an outlet only installed.
congrats on the new car!! this was so interesting to watch haha the auto pilot thing is crazy
Laura Reid thanks Laura!!
Crying as I watch this thinking about having to go get in my 2008 Mazda 😂
Your new car is beautiful Shelby! I’m so happy for you ❤️
A 2008 Mazda is still a good car!! you have plenty of time to get a Tesla later and the car is just gonna keep getting better
At least if you run out of gas on the freeway in traffic, triple A can bring you a gallon of gas. Idk what you would do with a tesla that runs out of charge
love_nyc_ use a mophie charger😂
@@picklerick3462 LMFAO OMG 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 good one!
Triple A brings a charger too. Or you can just look around for a wall outlet at a park or something.
What I like about Teslas is how technologically advanced they are, especially with their mobile app. But of course they also do a great job with the tech features for everyday driving, like the lane switching and everything being accessible with the use of the main screen. Definitely futuristic
If you continue to use the same 110v outlet, get a thicker extension cord. Also keep the length short, something like 20 foot, and the thicker 12awg (gauge) wire.
Very good idea but I'd check to see if the current cord or the ends of the current cord are getting warm first.
❤ Congratulations Shelby
Remember not to fully
charge it, maybe up to
90% , should be good
Actually, just read the manual. You'll learn so many useful and essential things.
I’m surprised the Tesla people didn’t say this but there’s actually a function in settings where you can raise the car up and also you can set the location for it to do that automatically when you get home :)
Not for the 3 :)
This option is available only for Teslas with air suspension (models S and X). Unfortunately, models 3 and Y aren't ecquiped with air suspension.
Your friend “ what’s this plugged in, your phone?”
You “ my car “
A few things (some have already been posted in other comments):
1. The upgrade to full self driving is a software update only. No hardware changes needed
2. You *can* use an extension cord to charge the car, but it is inadvisable. If you do end up using one, you should always make sure it is a very thick one (namely, that it's rated for at least 12A continuous power draw)
3. You can more easily open the charge port by pushing the bottom of it or by pressing the button on the end of the charging cable
4. You will only have access to Sentry Mode footage if you format a USB correctly (including creating a folder called TeslaCam at the root level).
5. Sentry Mode does work without a USB, but it's just going to do things to try to scare people away, not record anything (it may upload footage to Tesla's servers but there's no guarantee they'll keep any of it and there's no standard way to try to get it from them in the event they happen to have some useful footage.
6. Sentry Mode will use more battery than leaving it off
7. You can configure Sentry Mode to be on by default except at predefined locations (Home and/or Work and/or Favorites)
8. If you use a USB stick for Sentry Mode, it will also enable the dashcam feature which can be very handy when you least expect it
9. Valet Mode is for when someone you don't trust is going to be driving your car. It limits the max speed, limits the acceleration, prevents the glovebox from being opened, and hides your home and work addresses. To get out of Valet Mode you have to enter a passcode (set up by you the first time you turn it on)
Full self driving will need hardware changes but of you pay for FSD, Tesla will install the HW free of charge (well other than the upgrade you already paid for)
we've had all three models (excluding the roadster ofc) and i love every car, but they're all similarly different in really cool ways.
Model S:
i loved that car. it drove smooth, it had a big screen so you can see what's going on, it has a sleek look, and the handles aren't impossible to figure out. the only downside to the car was how much range it had when we ordered it. we preordered it back in 2010, it was released late 2012 or early 2013. it didn't have that much range compared to its newer battery releases and its successors. not only that, it is way more expensive than the model 3, probably twice the amount for the stuff we customized it with. overall though, it's a great first electric car, it isn't too difficult to figure out, and is simple but truly an amazing car. (i've driven this one a fair share of times (thanks dad))
model x:
i also love this car, but not as much as the model 3 or model s. it has better range than the model s, surrounding detection (other cars, curbs, garages, etc.) unlike our s (which was an option we opted out of), and more room for seating. there is seat heating in all seats and seat COOLING in the front seats, which is a bonus on hot summer days. like the s, which i didn't mention, the radio is very crisp, unlike my car's radio (acura MDX 2011). the back seats are also able to be angled up more or down more, and depending on the surrounding seats in the first and third rows, they can also be adjusted forward and backward. my mom recently broke her knee, and she has plenty of room in the car to stretch her leg out. the only thing that does actually get annoying is the automatic driver's door opening, it opens anytime it detects anybody walking near it if the door is unlocked, which we don't like (but can be easily turned off), and the falcon doors. those things are annoying, mainly because they take a longer amount of time to open and close, and the detection software maybe leaves a bit too much room so it doesn't hit surrounding objects. the back trunk is also thick, so we hit our heads on it often, since the trunk also doesn't open as much as any of our previous other cars of similar height. overall though, still an amazing car, and great if you need a family car, but want to convert to electric.
model 3:
this car is by far my favorite of the teslas we have had. because my brother has my car, my dad has graciously allowed me to drive it if i need to for the summer, and i love driving it. it drives super smooth, and accelerates quickly. the screen is smaller so it isn't as distracting, but the buttons are still big enough so you can navigate with ease. there are also some hilarious easter eggs if you can find them. despite being smaller and more narrow than the model s, there is still plenty of room for multiple passengers, and has more storage than it appears to have. i don't like that the trunk doesn't open all the way, if that makes sense? like, the back windshield doesn't open with it, and it's basically just cut out of the trunk, which makes it more difficult to access storage and put items in. i also don't like how the standard setting for lights is "auto brights" which turns on the brights if the light level gets too low in certain areas. i blinded a few people because of that feature. :/ it's also a little frustrating that it isn't obvious how to open the doors (inside or outside), but it is a cool feature. it has amazing range (about 300 miles), and it's significantly cheaper than the model s, so though it is still expensive, it is way more affordable than people may think. i love the car, and it is amazing for everyday use, as well as carrying passengers. i wouldn't recommend it if you have babies that require car seats, but i definitely recommend it for any other use. :)
i hope you enjoyed my somewhat comprehensive review of the three cars, come back in a few years to see my comprehensive review of the model y and the pickup truck 😂 (probably not but who knows anymore)
Wait.... So the auto lights it's actually bright??? How do i change this? People get so pissed at me and I'm just like "sorry these lights are bright" 😂
Any thoughts on the Y!? I’m about to buy one and trying to decide between the 3 and the Y. Help
@@Nursing-ut7tv I regret to report that four years later, we have not gotten the Y. My mom has done a test drive in it though and she really liked it, and it drives very similar to the 3 according to her. Despite not having it, I think I could offer you a good perspective based off of what i know about both! If you would like to have more space in the car, definitely go for the Y. Despite having ample leg room in the passenger seat, the 3 can still get fairly cramped and there is not a lot of trunk space, which becomes a problem with long distance trips and not having enough space. The frunk in the 3 is also fairly small, and I don't know if it's bigger in the Y, but that's something to consider as well. The daily range is similar in both cars, but I think the Y has a higher max range, so it would be better for roadtrips and longer drives because of that.
Honestly, if you have the opportunity, definitely go test drive both! If you can't do that, then I would evaluate what you want to use the car for. If you do lots of traveling or go places that requires trunk space, I would lean towards the Y. If you're doing more short distance driving, city driving, then the 3 would be just fine. I hope you love whatever you pick!!
Shelby,
-Valet mode is when you let someone park your car, like in a fancy club or restaurant. It restricts their access to your car compartments like the Frunk & Glove compartment and also Speed.
- You need an electrician to install a 240V outlet (like the one for your washer/dryer) in your garage, that will enable you to charge at 30 - 50 miles/hr.
Enjoy your Tesla and more videos please!!!
There’s a button on the charger that will open the charge port. Also please install a higher voltage outlet. It will charge WAY faster.

I love your new approach of being a RUclipsr unlike many others who give a fake “perfect” out look to their life. Idk if I'd called that a hit... looked like it tapped it just slightly
Purchased a Model 3 just 3 weeks ago. Took delivery in Marina del Rey as well. I did that because it’s only 1.5 miles from my sailboat in Marina del Rey. I so love the Model 3. My sailboat has autopilot so this was a great way for my car to actually keep up with my sailboat. I totally love autopilot. I drove 225 miles this weekend without charging and used autopilot the entire time. What a great car.
I installed a Nebo 14-50 that Tesla recommends in my garage. The Tesla website has a list of all the certified electricians in your area. Make sure you only use a certified electrician. They were trained by Tesla to make the required installation. Mine charges at 30 miles per hour and I set the car to start charging at midnight. The rates for me go down by half. If you are still charging with 110 volts you might be a little scared when you receive your electrical bill. The 110 volts will more than double your electrical bill compared to using the 220 volt system. Either the Nebo 14-50 or the Tesla wall charger.
I purchased a dual motor, long range, with autopilot and absolutely love driving this Model 3. If you have any questions I’m very sure I can answer them. I spent 5 months researching the Model 3 before I purchased it. At my pick up the Tesla delivery guy immediately knew that I had done all my homework. He was shocked at how much I knew about the Model 3, Model X, Model S, and the new Model Y coming out soon. He told me I’m all done here. There isn’t anything you don’t already know about this car.
Thanks for all your amazing work doing these videos. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me. Ok it’s time for bed. I’m going sailing tomorrow all day long in Marina del Rey where my sailboat is docked.
I’m so happy for you.
OMG CONGRATS!! Hope you enjoy the car and can’t wait for upcoming Tesla videos. Please do a video of you playing that racing game in the car too 😂
Just got my Tesla M3 Performance about a week ago. Absolutely in love with it! I was more so surprised by how smooth it drives.
Valet Mode:

2. Top Speed Reduced to 70mph.
3. Home and work address blocked out.
4. Trunk and Glove Box Locked.

I think in 3 years all teslas will like fly like hoverboards. 3 years is an eternity in tesla time. Who the hell knows what tesla will come up with by then!
Omg congrats Shelby!! I'm so happy for you! It's well deserved
Valet mode is a mode that lets other people like hotel and airport people tovuse the car but it will set speed limit to 55mph and turn off the screen so they cant mess with the setting
Valet mode makes it so if you lending your car or giving to a valet that they will not have access to your navigation & clove compartmented. You can also set speed limit.
Unplug that extension cord asap!!!!! Get a hook to hold the charger up there. Extension cord will ruin the charger. "Warning: Do not use an extension cord, a multi-outlet adapter, a multi-plug, a conversion
plug, or a power strip to plug in the Mobile Connector.
"
What's your evidence
Will only ruin the charger or battery? Becuase you said many things , so pretty much she cant connect it to anything just the wall plug?
And why would an extension cord ruin the charger?
If anything, there might be a little electrical resistance in the cord/wires, to slow the charging speed little (very little though). But slower charging speed does not ruin anything. Actually slow charging speed is better for the battery in the long run.
@@allan500m exacltly , i think he doesnt know , he just shares his thoughts because he didnt reply
What a huge lie. It makes no difference that she uses an extension cord.
Valet mode work like this when you go to a valet parking you put valet mode and reduce the power of the car like your model 3 the 0 to 60 is 5 seconds when is valet mode decrease like 10 or more and you can’t open the frunk is to keep the car safer because it is a Tesla and I imagine that they will want to try the acceleration
It also locks your radio settings and blocks out your home and work address if you have it stored.
Don't know if you're already aware of this, but if you press the button on the charger while it's near the port, the door will automatically open (usually) Or sometimes (and I'm not sure why it doesn't work every single time) you can just press the bottom lip of the port door and it opens ups (maybe the car needs to be unlocked). And just for fun, when the charger is plugged in, press the button 10 times in a row and the little light will flash in rainbow colors!
I’m so happy for you!! Congrats on your Tesla!!
Thanks for posting such informative videos and for not using the word 'literally'! Keep up the good work!
Congrats on your new car! She’s so beautiful 😍
Vallet mode is where the car goes into a mode where the car maintains a limit where you can go a certain speed and number of miles. If the car goes too far from where you are the car will send a notification through the app to your phone telling you where the car is and how fast it is going at the moment. It also locks everything but the driver side door
I know it can be expensive but I genuinely suggest getting the special outlet. I currently have a model 3 and if you want to use a supercharger in LA (I go to the one in fox hills mall) sometimes you have to wait and it’s more convenient in the end to just fully charge it at your house. 🥰
Watching your video makes me want to order my own Tesla right now!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait for the day I can get it!! Congratulations!!
If the charger door closes on you you can hit the button on the charger.
Also you can press the bottom of the charger door!
Congratulations. My delivery date is next week. If you use a 240 outlet like your dryer, it's much faster. I was told if you hold the signal manually while in Autopilot it will change lanes. But you can't let go until the change is over. Worked on my test drive...
To calculate charging power you just multiply voltage ( V ) and amperes ( A ), so 120V x 10A = 1,2kW or 240V x 30A = 7,2kW. So on dryer outlet you can charge 6 times faster (7,2 /1,2=6)
You can charge you car from empty too fool in less than 8h during sleep time.
if you remove those ugly black covers on the rims they look 10x better, trust me you will like it.
6:14 that cylinder "thing" is called a J1772 adapter, for using most public chargers...
"NEMA" is actually the 3 prong plug\wire that plugs in to the electrical socket. Specifically, that plug is called NEMA 5-15
AHHH can't wait to be a passenger!!! Hahaha so awesome
Bish
Have an electrician install a "NEMA 14-50 240v outlet with on a 50 amp circuit breaker". This install should only run about $200+. Do NOT mention anything Tesla or they will quote you much higher. This should allow you to charge to 90% in only 4+ hours or around 35mi per hour compared to the 2-3mi per hour you are getting now.
Just so you know, Sentry mode won't record to anything unless you put a flash drive into the USB jack in the car. You have to format it too for Teslacam. Google this. Your front camera is also a dashcam built in. But, you won't be recording to anything unless you get the flash drive. Also, you should buy a Nomad wireless charging pad so you can charge up to two phones at the same time
Shelby, fyi for the charge port, you can simply walk up to the car and tap the bottom corner of the charge port lid when it's closed and it will open (as long as the car is unlocked or it senses your bluetooth signal from your phone) . :) You can also press the little button on the charger nozzle and the lid will flip up automatically. :)
My patience is like the distance between the trunk and the garage door @ 5:42
I am an electrician. Moving an outlet would be a waste of money there is nothing wrong with the extension cord unless you think it's just an eye sore. In fact it's probably just better to keep enough slack to run the the power cable from the extension cord and then wind it up and zip tie it off to keep your charger in good condition and not so long.
Watched all the ads, and the entire video to help you get the money back 😂♥♥♥
I’ve had mine since November 2018, best purchase I ever made. Congrats on the new car! You deserve it!!!
I'm an SUV gal and I think Teslas are cool. I live in the SW so no one respects anyone's vehicle so I wouldn't ever buy one I'd be scared. I'm glad I can watch Shelby and hers!!!
You could just put Sentry mode on and catch whoever door dings your car
Just get the Model Y when it comes out.
Tesla car record anything suspicious, 24/7, from 8 cameras. Good luck to anyone trying anything funny on your car. If anything happens, just upload the video to the police and with the face and licence plate of the offending party, they'll stop them immediately.
@@UTUBESUCK666 they only use 3 of the cameras right now.
Not an electrician but am a bit of an EV geek.
I'd not recommend using that outlet for usual at home charging, it's fine for emergencies or once in a while but i think you should probably get a dedicated 240v outlet for it at the very least, just for electrical safety and even if you don't need all the extra charging speed it provides you can slow the charge rate down from the screen on your car.
yaaaaay well deserved with all the hard work you do you go girl
try and keep the battery between 20-90% and only charge to 100% if you plan on going on a long trip soon. try not to let it get under 10%. all this to help keep a healthy battery
Congrats Shelby! That is some wicked ride. Seriously mind blown. I bet you can hear a pin drop when you're driving..or, when the car is driving :)
This is also proof that saving hard earned $ really pays off.
You can get a 240 volts adapter from Tesla and an electrician to fix a 240 volts outlet in your garage, and that can charge up to 30 miles per hour.
I've spoken to a few colleagues of mine who purchased the Tesla Model 3 and they seem to really enjoy it.
For me, I prefer my simple Lexus RC350 coup. It's that whole autopilot thing and having to always keep it charged that worries me about Teslas.
Now, because of my curiosity about the resale value of certain cars. I did a blue book check on a Tesla Model 3 standard 2017 model, 20k miles and in excellent condition, and found the trade-in value was between $39k to $43k. Then I looked up what a new model was priced at and found no loss in value, so you got yourself a good valued vehicle. Congrats!!
You have to set up a USB flash drive and plug it in the front USB port for the Sentry Mode and TeslaCam (dash cam) footage to save. Just needs to be formatted to FAT32, with a folder named TeslaCam on it (google for guides).
Thanks for making the choice toward cleaner transportation!
You should make a video about your costs driving the model 3 (compared to your last car).
Yes it’ll save you a lot of money from gas
Finally a person who doesn’t hate Tesla cars!!!
It's highly recommended to install charger at home. You won't need supercharger at all :)
My wife has 40,000 miles on her Model3 and loves it! Super fun to drive, and zero gas or maintenance.
Girlfriend, please at least get a NEMA 14-50 installed. It’s going to charge 500% faster. We're getting our new model 3 on Friday! Super stoked!!
FYI, the charger is built into the vehicle. The cable you plug into the car to juice up the battery is called an EVSE - electric vehicle supply equipment. It is basically a smart power cord. Speaking of cords, they don't recommend you use an extension cord. But, if you do use one, get one that is rated for outdoor, at least 15amps, and uses 12 or 10 gauge (AWG) wire. Mine is 12AWG with a GFCI to disconnect power if there is a spike.
Since you have a large following, I'm hoping you can make others aware that there 8-10 rules of etiquette related to using public charging.
Now I really want a Tesla, but I’m not old enough to drive and I definitely can’t afford it 😂
Best in depth video on a Tesla ive seen! Love it👍
Please be careful Shelby! Try not to use an extension cord because the thinner gauge wiring will create an electric current bottleneck that causes it to overheat and possibly catch fire.
Thanks Shelby. My wife wants a tesla and your vids are very helpful, fun and informative. Keep up the good work
that’s the same one I want!!
Hope you will get it ❤😊 and I want e white tezla❤
Have you considered getting a proper wall charger (doesn’t have to be Tesla)? Instead of moving a standard plug outlet it’ll be worth looking into that. It means you’ll get faster charging at home!
I think it should be pretty straightforward to upgrade to 220v outlet, ask you electrician about it. You might risk running out of battery with these slow charging times.
It’s not that you didn’t have the Auto Lane Change, it’s that if there is a solid line, the car will not move over. So you did get the Auto Lane Change, just works better on a highway with dotted markings.
Omg congrats! You deserve it so much
Highly recommend installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet, charges at 20-30 miles/hr (which is basically overnight) and way cheaper than buying a Tesla Wall Connector and also cheaper and easier than Supercharging
Valet mode limits the speed of the car and certain features (addresses that are saved in your maps, etc) in your vehicle. It also locks the glove box. People use this feature when actually leaving their car at a valet or if they let someone else drive the vehicle :)
that’s SO COOL
what a trip, the videos that are probably making you bank on RUclips are about you making bank. thanks for not holding back on all the details that people who normally couldn't experience this wouldn't get. keep up the great work.
Wow Shelby Congratulations on getting your new car tesla model 3 hope you enjoy driving with it well done ❤️❤️❤️
Best car i have ever driven. I did same thing as you. I rented one on Turo for a day. I felt in love right away. I bought one the following week. I receive mine July 3rd or so.
I will be test driving a Model 3, Monday 24th! Can't wait, and hopefully will be ordering one! YAY!
FOLLOW UP: The test drive was magnificent! The autopilot is a bit creepy and unnerving but the car followed the road almost better than a human driver! Fast sleek and smooth, this will be my next car!
LakotaDreams If I were you I would order right now off inventory or else you won’t get the $3750 tax credit. Because if u custom order it will be delivered after June and the tax credit ends on the 30th.
@@nickmoir3450 Per the IRS web site: Beginning Jan. 1, 2019, the credit will be $3,750 for Tesla's eligible vehicles. On July 1, 2019, the credit will be reduced to $1,875 for the remainder of the year. So if you wants to take advantage of the $3,750 Lakota you have only 4 more days else you will only get the $1,875 until the end of the year then its all over, no more tax credit!
Yes I am aware, after the test drive the Tesla consultant mentioned the tax credit and the expiration dates several times.
We got an electrician to install a Tesla wall charger when we received our Model S and only supercharge at road trips (which is also advised by Tesla). Our charger is however EU-spec, so I won’t go into the details, but It basically charges the car to 85 % during the night. Having this charger installed at home has basically let us to not worry about charging and battery status. It’s worth every penny. I don’t know the rates of a US electrician, but I would highly recommend you contact Tesla and get a quote from them before you hire a guy to move the 120 outlet.
Cheers.
If there's a place in your garage for a washer and dryer then you probably have a 240 volt 30 amp dryer Outlet!
Just be careful charging with an extension cord. From the video, the cord didn't look like it was well suited for 12 amps continuous current. I would bet that it'll be warm to the touch after a short while. You should have an electrician either install a second 120V outlet or better yet, install a 240V 50 amp or 30 amp outlet. Tesla sells adapters for other plugs at their online store. And congrats on the awesome car!
You should get a wall charger it charges up to 44 miles per hr and you don't need to go to a supercharger then and pay
Sarim nope standard range only has 32amp onboard charger so only 30 mph
If your gonna get a electrician and don't wanna pay for the tesla wall charger then get a 240V installed. Its the plug that they normally use for like ovens and dryers and should get somewhere in the 15-25 range per hour.
*Shelby making you feel poor for 10 minutes 48 seconds. ENJOY!*
Tesla’s aren’t expensive. They’re no Lamborghini or Ferrari
@Icelandic Cubicle I meant the cheaper Model 3, which is around $40K. The other Tesla's are somewhat expensive, but the Model 3 is affordable for most people since it's around the same price as other cars, not to mention you'll save money since it's electric and not gas.
@Icelandic Cubicle Well, 75k New Zealand dollars is equal to about 46K USD, it's just a little bit more expensive in New Zealand, probably because of tarrifs and shipping costs
Don’t feel bad. A lot of people drive fancy cars and have no savings, investments, 401k, etc. Do you and don’t compare yourself to an image of a stranger.
@@hothotheat3000 i don't) just kidding)
valet mode is were if you want to use the Valet feature at an airport or hotel it limits speed to 50 turns of screen locks glove box locks frunk and trunk so they can't mess with the car
I cringed when she opened the boot and it hit the garage door 😅 just like how low it was to the driveway
Shelby and Teslad’s channel had great Model 3 delivery day videos 🔥
You have to have a usb plugged in that is formatted to FAT32 to record sentry mode incidents. The file has to also be named TeslaCam for files to upload
Oh definitely going to do this!
Shelby Church It comes in handy. I’ve seen many Tesla owners save their butt when it comes to accident proof and break ins. Tesla’s are awesome 😎 I picked up my blue SR+ in April and love it!!
Shelby Church I actually bought a usb reader for a SD card to put in the car. The SD really makes a difference because it’s better quality and can come in larger file capability! Just a thought.
Like everyone is saying, install a NEMA 14-50 outlet. Not for the speed but the efficiency! Seeing how you live in California, electricity is not cheap. 120v outlets get about 78% efficiency of power used to power gained and 240v are in 90's. It's a huge difference! The more amps the better.
That other part is an adapter.
You need a NEMA outlet installed then buy the NEMA plug for $30
Really enjoyed it! Especially the delivery center part how you search for your baby.. sweet. Great car! Best of luck!
Get a Level 2 charger . They sell them for $200 on Amazon. You going to get 24 Miles per hour charge or more.
Actually the Tesla charger can do Level 2 too. You just need an electrician to get you the right plug such as NEMA 14-50. So instead of wasting $ on electrician moving 120V outlet you can do it right the first time. You might already have it in the bag. Check shop.tesla.com/us/en/product/vehicle-accessories/gen-2-nema-adapters.html
If your panel is in the garage should be simple.
Defiantly recommend the 14-50 adapter for the Tesla mobile charger. You'll get 29-30mph charging. Once you can charge at that speed you'll have the flexibility to only charge when your electric rates are cheapest. You'll also be able to save your super charger time for long trips.
Enjoy. I've had mine for about a month and love it.
