Love the color, wish they'd put more classic colors like this on cars today instead of just on new Mustangs. Too many cars today are all the same dull grey, black, or white and they all look the same. Older cars were more organic, the cars of today are more like a bubble. Such a pleasure to drive my 79 F150.

Man I just loves these old Ford's. I have a 96 F150 (which is the last year of the box style F-Series half ton before the 97 full redesign.)with 202,000 miles on it still going strong and it's a good looking truck it's got the old school look of a traditional pickup but it has power Windows, door locks, aircondition, and remote start.

Oh the nostalgia. My dad had one of these trucks back in the late 70's early 80s. Great truck.I believe his was stick shift, Stick came out through the center floor board. Not on the side of the steering wheel like this truck. Never had any issues with the exception of a small fire. I used to love riding in the cargo are when safety ws not much of a concern for kids or parents. 🤣 He worked on that truck every day until he got it fixed. Traded it in for a 84 Chevy pickup. Good old days.

Brought back memories when I used to help my father, who was a bricklayer, and we always had trucks like these around when I was a kid and then later as a teen and learned to drive a stick (and manage a trailer).
Okay, Nick. Enough screwing around. You need to get a Porsche 911 GTS and get back to making Porsche videos. The RUclips community all shared in your sorrow when your last 911 gave you such trouble. It's time to bring it back home to a Porsche.

There's no reason to stop at 1970 when the fifth generation F-Series trucks were from 67-72. On top of that, the 73-79 trucks are every bit as good as the prior generation. Late '77-79 F250/F350 trucks were the best of them all.
I prefer the old trucks but if you put an old truck up against a new one, the old truck is going to lose in just about every category. Where the old trucks shine is how well they hold up over the years whereas newer trucks have become disposable.

    • @justenough730

Ha they didn't know how to build a truck back then now is where it's at,they are so much better, now fords PU trucks is the most reliable and cheap to keep going than there old stuff, name me one Ford PU built in the last 20 yrs that isnt much more reliable and durable than their old PU trucks, why twenty five years ago they didn't know how to build em new is the way to go not old

‘67 & ‘70 without a doubt the most beautiful trucks ever , 1970 was the last year of the ultimate iconic truck from the golden era , it had all the trim package of the 71-72 however last model with the thicker lower trim mouldings, and last year of the iconic 3 spoke steering wheel , 1971-1972 ain’t as beautiful to me , also the 1970 grille is perfection and very beautiful, 1967 also great truck many uniques features only available on 1967 as such the iconic grille the door skins with opening handle separated from the arm rest and the lack of side reflective lights !

My first NEW vehicle was a 1970 F100. But I always put a lot of miles on my trucks, so 6 years on I sold it. Inline "6", three on the tree and no PS---PB or air conditioning. The ONLY problem I ever had was the brake light switch fell out of the mounting bracket, killing the battery and leaving me stranded. Considering how I hammered it, that was miraculous. Of course simplicity helped. The single biggest thing I miss about the new ones is ya can't buy one with a stick. I LIKE standards. The manufacturers don't.

Getting this exact year and model for 500 bucks. Its go some rust and a small hole that needs to be bondo'd and sanded primes and painted. But it's got a 390 big block in it. Mind you the only cars I've driven were 6 cylinders.. Just wanna make sure I dont wreck such a beautiful truck out of ignorance of the power held underneath that hood...

Your thoughts on this? Would be great to see you do a review of it if you can get your hands on one. 2015 Lexus RC350 F Sport: How Does it Compare to BMW & Audi? - A Discussion with MotoMan

I have driven the RC350 F Sport but no I will not be doing a review on one, I really don't like that much about them so would find it hard to find things to say.
MotoMan is correct however the leather work and some of the fittings (not the console or the Nav system which are 10 years behind) are miles ahead of BMW, also the engine sound is very nice. Performance is not on par with BMW or the MB at this price point and I think Lexus is trying too hard to look like an Audi. Over all I think the new MB C class is the current leader in this segment by quite a margin, and I suspect the new Audi A4 next year will step it up as well.
