No need to wait. Most of these old trucks were completely left for dead. If you have a smart phone and some basic tools. You can save the good stuff. Thank you for the feedback
Floyd Cramer sure could tickle the ivory.... love the music of my era... I am seventy four. New points by this time shouldn't bankrupt you but please clean under where those points screw down to... that completes the ground for points to even work at all. I should mention that by turboing mine, it tripled the horsepower and ran like a scalded dog
That is really cool. Actually just found another shortbed newer that was special ordered with the 300 straight 6, 5 speed manual transmission and 4 wheel drive. Hopefully it will make a good revival and daily driver to find other forgotten gems.
@@southernrevivalautomotive I'm Chevy all the way, but the Ford 300 is a fantastic engine. My ex wife had 375,000 miles on her pickup when neglect took it out. They're historically proven to be awesome.
You buy and sell? How do you see the value going on these dent side f100s vs the c10 market of the same year. I've got a nice 74 f100 but from what I've seen the c10's seem more popular but the f100 isn't far behind.
We've been collecting for a little while now and the market ebbs and flows. I think everyone is really into the nostalgia of classic trucks right now. And they're looking to put their money somewhere tangible. That being said, the C10's ,I think, have been populars a collector for a lot longer than F100's. And because of that a lot of them have already been built or restored. I think you're right in that the F100's aren't far behind.
There was some paint marker on the column. Looked like from a scrap yard inventory. Pretty common on any old ford truck, more common on the 3 on the tree. They wear out the shift pattern on the column. Carters Bumparts on facebook completely restores columns if anyone needs one.
I love that Married With Children canned applauses
Thought it was fitting to start it out 😂

I have a 73 F100. It had a 360 but have been changed to a 390. It has unbelievable torque.
they have torque for sure. FE motors are great
Great engine, in Argentina it was used a lot in the F100 and the Falcon.
Their sound is very characteristic.

That's a 300, they're damn near indestructible.
Great motors!

What was behind the seat in that old blue truck
I think it was a homemade shelf situation
Nice video if the camera was a little steadier.
Have since upgraded equipment. Thank you for the feedback. It is greatly appreciated
You didn’t have ground cable on battery when you were first checking for spark from the points. DUH!!
whoopsie
13:00 the battery is disconnected.
You're right it was! It was a hot day 😂

Mortske flick
Winner winner chicken dinner.
always check you points for corrosion 99% of the time it's the reason you have no spark.
