    Hi william, i cant seem to find an answer to this question anywhere so hope you maybe able to help.
    The heater just stays on as the blue light wont go out and all that happens is it gets to 42°c and then get an error, the button for the temperature adjustment/lock isnt responding at all. Could this just be a control panel change do you think? As everything else seems to be fully working.

    My clavaspa pumps up should it be pushing air through the jets/bubbles at the same time? Also could I inflate it without the pump/electrics in situ? Just so I can check it for a puncture?

      The propeller spins one way 360 degrees, clockwise in order for the water to flow through the inlet

    @williameccleston3845  2 года назад

    Morning David, please be aware that this information is only my observation and any electrical issues should be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer, I’ve checked the ohm on the one I have it’s showing 19ohm across each element, so I don’t think it the heating element
    I would check the thermostat and possibly replace it, this sits on top of water out let, check your pump is flowing by putting your hand over the outlet, if it’s not flowing then it’s possibly the pump propeller not rotating or pump motor failure, also check the continuity on the two black switches on the side of the heating element casing (which you can see on this video) hope this helps you.

    So helpful!!! I’m getting HL Error Code, we think it could be the propeller as there’s no movement/suction from either water outlet or filter; and CleverSpa are no help. We’re just trying to prod the propeller now to see if we can get at it without taking everything apart.

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  2 года назад +1

      Hi Lydia,
      An HL error usually means there is a blockage, preventing water from circulating around the pump & heating system. The blockage can be caused by a dirty/old filter, a blocked impeller or limescale build-up, especially if you live in an area with hard water. This can cause an artificially high temperature reading to be displayed on the control panel.If so, please follow the below steps to try and resolve this issue.
      Check for water flow:
      Place your hand into the water approx. 6-8 inches away from the outlet.
      You should feel the water flowing through the outlet valve.
      If the flow rate is very weak or non-existent or your hot tub is making an excessive rattling/grinding noise, follow the steps below:
      Ensure that your filter has been cleaned.
      Be sure to also clean and rinse the protective filter cover.
      Replace your filter with a new one.
      Ensure the filter is not overtightened.Is your CleverSpa® still showing HL and not heating, despite cleaning your filter?
      If so, please follow the below steps to try and resolve this issue:
      Turn off the filter and heater.
      Remove the protective filter cover and Filter.
      Place the filter cover over the filter inlet and use an elastic band to hold it in place
      This helps prevent debris from being drawn into the pump while there is no filter fitted.
      Press the ‘Heater’ button on and reset the temperature on the control panel.
      If the temperature now begins to rise and maintain its temperature it is likely that your filter needs replacing.
      Please replace your old filter with a new one. Check out our filter maintenance information.
      Limescale Blockage
      Many areas have hard water, causing limescale build-up within home appliances. As with other products we strongly advise that you incorporate a descaling routine into your CleverSpa® maintenance schedule to reduce the effects of limescale build-up.
      Its recommended that the CleverSpa® Descaler is used weekly to prevent scale formation and build-up, this will ensure your hot tub is running smoothly.
      Turn off the CleverSpa® at the mains.
      Remove the Filter and protective cover.
      Place your garden hose pipe against the filter inlet hole and outlet holes.
      Run clean water through the system, helping to remove any debris or loose limescale.
      Collect and remove any loose particles from the water, ideally using a net.
      Follow the instructions for use as directed on the Descaler packaging.
      Impeller Blockage/Debris
      If your CleverSpa® is used without a filter, or debris has been drawn into the motor it may cause the impeller within the water pump to seize. We advise following the below steps to check for problems:Turn off the CleverSpa® at the mains.
      Drain the water from the hot tub
      Remove the filter and protective filter cover
      Perform a visual check of the outlet inside and out - check for anything that may be obstructing the water flow. Hope this helps

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  Год назад

      Sorry about the delay in responding (away from home) if you haven’t already fixed the issue, I would take the box unit out of the hot tube, take the top section off (see my video) then check if the main wires coming on the main lead from the breaker ON/OFF, check that you have a live feed (red) you should be getting 230V ac supply, before the wires (black & Red) convert to 12 volts 500mA in the transformer wires coming out of the transformer black box, please check if there is any lights on the instrument panel on the top of the Hot Tub first, if you have any lights on then it’s unlikely to be loss of power, ( if you are not competent please don’t attempt this job and get a electrician to fix it) hope this helps regards William

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  Год назад

      First thing I would do is check the air tube valve isn’t stuck closed (as shown in my video, it’s the most common problem) check if the spring is opening and closing and you can blow air thought the tube (it only flows one way) second try running the pump without the top piece on for a few seconds to see if any air flow is coming out of the pump( if yes then the problem is probably in the Plastic pipe connection going into the inside wall of the HotTube (check the plastic pipe hasn’t bent at the bottom, which will prevent airflow into the HotTub wall) if the pump isn’t running, No Sound or air flow without the top piece on then it probably is a electrical problem, which should be showing up as a fault code

    Hi, I was just wondering your videos are amazing by the way, i do believe I found the issue…I do believe the impeller is broke as the yellow part just keeps rotating on its own whilst the magnetic part is still… I’ve tried looking everywhere for the part (Amazon version is too small) do you know of a place that sells the impeller? As the metal rod is 8cm the dimensions of the yellow thing is 3.4cm height of the yellow things 6 spokes is 0.8cm magnetic body is 3.9cm , I can’t find one that size anywhere !!😊

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  Год назад

      Hi, you can buy the impeller from EBay there’s quite a few sellers, (just search for clever spa yellow impeller) I believe the sizes are by the colour code, each colour is different a size, unfortunately, I can’t see any sizes within these seller’s Description on these sites, they are quite cheap under £10 pounds, I would take a risk and purchase one, I hope this helps, regards William

    Hi there my clever tub was inflated all over the winter. But when I topped it up with air, the tub started to go down I can't find a leak. Is there somehow the unit can leak air. The only thing I did was to top air up. I'm thinking is there something related to that could be leaking. Also how do you get parts for them. Thanks Paul

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  Год назад +1

      Hi Paul, when the air pump is running in side the housing it passes through the none return valve (see my video) it running down and out through a connection pipe which feeds both the bubbles and connection air outlet, which you use the black pipe to feed air back into the tube outside wall to inflate, Its most likely to be a air leak from the Wall of the Spa, When you blow up the wall and remove the black pipe there is a none returnable seal on the air inlet (this will leak if it not screwed up tightly, Make sure the caps are secured, check the bottom pipe clip isn't loose (under the housing), The best way to test for a leak if you are struggling to find the leak is the same way as testing a car tyre, buy a big cheap kids padding pool and turn the spa on its side inside the padding pool (you will possibly need two persons to help you) and rotate to see if there is any bubbles PLEASE BE AWARE, you don't wet the control panel, You can also do this test by submerging the area around the housing box ( bottom of Spa) but NO MORE THAN 6 INCHES as the housing as legs and won't get any water in the main box (again check my video) you can buy Spa repair kit online and most other parts on ebay, I hope this helps regards William

    My Clever spa isn't heating the water, no error codes. I have measured the resistance of the heater element at 32ohm in total & 16ohm across each element. Can you check if yours has the same readings please?

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  2 года назад

      Hi Dave I think the heating element is working fine, I would check the thermostat switch’s the first one is on top of the outlet (two small wires together)Look inside the outlet, and you will see it hanging down, The second thermostat is at the rear halfway down the chamber it has two black wires either side, You also need to check that your getting a live feed when switch the heater switched on to the element, Is your pump running water flowing threw the inlet and outlets

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  2 года назад

      I am Michael, sorry I've not got back to you soon, Just a couple of things Firstly the cables rcd should have tripped your electrics commonly if there is any faults in the pump housing box and a error code would be showing, If the socket plug is getting hot then this could be a number of problems, check It's not an overloaded socket, In all cases I think you need to get a electrician or competent person to check out this electricity fault, check the cable' it could be you've got it coiled up when switched on which could generate heat, It's recommended you do not plug this into any extensions lead In either case it should have tripped out within the plug or the rcd itself So this could be faulty If the heating element is not switching off when it's at its desire temperature then the thermostat or trip switches inside the box are faulty, I'm going to post an other video showing the parts inside the pump so check it out

    Hi, I've just today started having an issue with mine where as soon as i press the heater button it trips the RCD. I first thought this might be a heater element failure but noticed you mentioned theres trips on the element housing? Can these be reset? Just before i tear the thing apart. Thanks in advance

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  2 года назад

      Hi Stuart, if the RCD is tripping out then it could be a lot of things, firstly check the cable for damage or bad connections, particularly around the control panel on top of the inflated wall check if any water as got in, The heating element can trip the RCD but I would expect an error code first, the same with the thermostat switches it doesn't look like any have a reset button, most thermostats will reset when the temperature drops (expansions spring/coil) if its tripping out as soon as you press the ON button, it's likely to be the black cable or the Tramsformer inside the box so check this first, if the cleverspa instrument panel is lighting up then press the filter button (should have water flowing) & inflate/air jets buttons (Air flow) separately, then the Heater button (check which one is tripping the RCD, the main wires run into the transformer then output 11.6 Voltage to the motherboard next to the air pump, check if your getting any voltage out of the transformer, if so disconnected the black wires connecting the two thermostat next to each other on the outside of the heating element housing, and see if this as stopped the RCD from tripping out, let me know how you get on, please don't carry out any electrical work if your not competent enough for your own safety

    • @williameccleston3845
      @williameccleston3845  Год назад +1

      (Hi it’s most likely to be a faulty temperature sensor, I would change it, check out my video which explains where the thermostat and sensors are
      I’ve cut and pasted below the recommendation from a personal working in the spar industry see if this helps,
      (The HL error often suggests the appliance has detected its over temp (42 degrees or above), and cuts out to prevent anyone being harmed by the water temp exceeding the max set temp (40).
      On most of the Cleverspa range there is a reset button on the side of the pump, power off the pump at the wall then see if you can locate the reset button, it should push in and hear a click and then power the spa back on and the fault should clear.
      Where the fault does not clear the issue will be due to a faulty temp sensor and that would mean sending the pump away for repair or arranging a warranty claim with Cleverspa.)
      Hope this helps regards William

      Yes it's sounds like the thermostat is the falt or the water isn't flowing fast enough through the water inlet and outlet, check there isn't anything stuck in the inlet near the propeller, remove the filter while testing, if the water is flowing OK its most likely to be the thermostat
