Man, I remember listening to Tyranny everyday to/from work on a 50 minute commute. I wanted to like it so bad. I loved the idea of a disheveled but intricate, techno-Armageddon version of The Strokes. but I finally stopped, I think I got caught up on Bill Burr podcasts instead. I never did feel like I "got it". Then I came back to it a few months later and it was just... idk what can I say it filled a void in heart.
The Voidz are personally my best example of how music can grow on you. I knew what I was doing with the force-feeding, but was still blown away once it happened.
My friends used to talk badly about this band. Now, they're all messaging me about how excited they are for the new tracks. That's basically The Voidz.
The only bad part about this fantastic song is that now there are only about 5 songs on the album we haven’t heard before.

I love the voidz and this band is my special interest… I really like this song and i love the different approach it has! but i definitely saw the concerns of the people in the subreddit, it is kind of underwhelming, and the autotune has seen better days…. but it has a lot of positive aspects too imo, the solo is amazing and the overall vibe is something i really fw
anyway, people shouldn’t have too big expectations for the album anyways since it is meant to just be a “compilation” album, i’m sure their next full length album will be amazing :-)
Auto tune works fine when the melody is great, which it is in this song. I’ve hated his use of auto tune on many other songs but it works perfectly here imo

the autotune is part of the whole voidz thing so i’m not really mad for it, i definitely think the autotune would sound way better if it didn’t use a preset (or at least it sounds like a preset) but i really like this song either way, i showed this song to a friend who doesn’t really like the voidz, and she seemed to like this song a lot except for how the autotune sounds… that seems to be a common opinion out there, but its not sooooo bad, so if you didn’t like it at first it could easily grow on you
