Purchased it in .22, was so impressed I bought it in .177 for field target work.
Watched Ted’s video and by the looks of it...he’s excited as are we all!
now if we can start seeing budget friendly fill stations hit the market..
now that is what I'm talking about...keep it at $300
I agree. That's what keeping me with break-barrel springers.
@@Britspence381 I have 3, gamo bone collector 177, benjiman prowler 22, that gun is accurate as hell, and a hatsan 125 sniper vortex 25...I'm going to order this avenger in 25 next week
G C I have a bad knee, bad back, bad shoulder, bad neck... I still hand pump and stay in shape. Sure I’m in daily pain, but if I’m going to be in pain no matter what, might as well exercise haha.
I just purchased the Nomad compressor, well worth the money.
That's very impressive! Completely crushes it's direct competition
Greg Baker I wouldn’t say crush (NVL), but yes, this is probably better.
every review of this gun , the accuracy has been awesome, & the power, rick eustler was getting 64 fpe with the 34g jsb @ 924 fps, maxed out & it was accurate...this is why I ordered mine Thursday.....
Cool! Do you recall what he had the regulator set at, and the shot count when it went off the regulator?
@@icuppu2 he mentioned that it came 2 him maxed out, i want 2 say 3 mags.mine shoots the JSB 25g @ 925-930 fps max out. mine shoots great, every 25 cal pellets...it love the H&N pellets, especially the hornet's...polymags are excellent
Great job Tyler! Love your video reviews always. This looks like air venturi out did themselves! They really got almost everything a guy could want for such an amazing price!
Just ordered one in .25 from your sales associate at Pyramyd ! Can't wait, pretty excited for this new model.
So many excellent features!!! Great Video Tyler!
Great video. No waffle, straight to the many points and respected my time. Thank you.
Good Job showing the adjustments
Can't believe what you get for your money now days. If someone's just getting into Air rifling now is the best time. Great review Tyler. I may just get one just to add to the collection. Just something else to tinker with. By the way your video with Donnie made me laugh my a** off. Stay safe. 👍🇺🇲🇺🇲✌
Boss….this venture with“Air Venturi” and Nova Vista was one of the smartest things Air Venturi could have done. How lucky are we that Nova Vosta made this gun externally adjustable🤷♂️💯👌😉👍👍👍💯💯💯 All 3 of mine are absolute lazerbeams my friend. The Liberties are/have the same crazy accuracy bud. Just crazy good….really brother. 900-950 in .22 ……750-900 in .25 and you are spot on at 2400 psi and hammer spring at 95% ish. Personally I shoot these guns more than my high end guns because of their accuracy and shot count…not to mention they are way quieter.
Excited!!!
Great, informative video!
Great video! Lots of good information.
Very nice to know you can tune down to make it more useable for hand pumpers
What an nice review for a budget gun. Wish i can have one.
Best of all the reviews on this rifle.
Love these videos
Great video, hard to find such a feature packed gun for this kind of money. Accuracy is impressive, and I'm sure the velocities will get even more consistent when the gun is broken in even more. Good call on lowering reg pressure!
Thanks! This one got shot a lot, but definitely curious to see how it holds up after more adjustments and time.
Any plans on testing the .22? Or have you already sent out one for review from by another channel? Was building a custom Gauntlet .22 for my neighbor but might scratch that idea and get one of these.
@@banshee350cc There are a number of folks who have these already in .22. I know Hard Air Magazine has done a number of articles on the .22 with different tunes. AEAC just started on the .22 as well. There are a few others. Will probably use the .22 for a future tuning video once I can get my hands on one
that Avenger looks great!! i've seen some very positive things about it over on Airgun101, i look forward to putting that rifle in my collection!! :)
Its on my wish list @Pyramid Air for now.
Hey Tyler... another great video. The Avenger is nearly unbelievable... at this price point??? Amazing... I feel like I need one on general principle... lol
Great video Tyler ! Looks like a great PCP to compete with the Urban. Maybe the high flyers were bad pellets or the fps was a little too fast. It would be interesting to try more assortments or hammer spring adjustments. Thank you for demonstrating how to adjust things. 👍 for safety glasses too !! 🎯
Very good video. I just ordered this rifle.
Can't wait Iam gonna get one the moment I see it in my country.
Where are you living?
great review.
You do nice work.
Great budget PCP rifle with better than budget features and performance.
gotta get this gun
perfect review!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Don't forget to like & subscribe!
Bought the 25, looking forward to mid Sept.
Did you get it?
Can't wait mines on preorder mths now ! Gauntlet I have likes 2400 dose not like 2500 so I'm sure this will be easier to find what it likes THANKS seems like I've been waiting yrs to get mine !
Line em up boys!! Gauntlet vs. Avenger.... sounds like a marvel movie
I am going to buy one as soon a I find one in stock.
I want to have it! It smells so good, but, alas, it can only be seen
Awesome sauce!!
Great review Tyler. I have watched this video a few times and picked up something useful each time. Now I would like to know the name and model of the tripod you had the gun on 😊
Great video The problem being they’re taking way too long to get into very anxious hands.
Still waiting for mine. Ordered in September and it is not in. Told October, then beginning on November now end of November. Hope it is here soon.
Preordered .22 version and still waiting. Thanks for the video.Your making videos- where are the guns?
Oh wow it is awesome. I have to save money for this avenger.
Would have fewer flyers if they would have put a crown on it. We did some eating with a really highspeed camera and if the pellet has any marks on it the thing will tumble. Not having a crown ad the cheap magazine is its biggest flaw. You can smooth out the Magazine contact areas Hajimoto proves it to be effective to prevent flyers or use the single shot.
Tyler, another great review. Would you happen to know the specifications on the hammer spring, or if I can order one from Pyramid? Lastly, what are the number of hammer spring adjustment screw turns from bottom out to all backed up? Thanks.
Great video what scope you recommend for this rifle
Nice gun, looks like the low end prices for a descent shooter & I've been looking for one to take into the woods behind my folks house and do some tree rabbit pest control. thnx Tyler
I wish you would have finished up by going full circle and adjusting the hammer spring. Man, you could have possibly pushed up the fps to high 900's and really tightened the groups at 100 yds, especially with the hybrids or even standard slug!!
This definitely seems like the gun to buy even out past 500-600 dollar price points.
Good review. I’m interested in the gun but I don’t have access to HPA 4500 . Can I use this gun with my 3000 psi scuba tank - I prefer the gun in caliber 22 - and if so what shot count and velocity would I get using 14.3g pellets? I’m assuming that the regulator can be regulated to 1100 psi for the 22 caliber ? HPA 4500 is great but inaccessible in many places.
Looking at the .177 for a plinker.
Could you guys a Pyramid Air put together a package for me for my first PCP set up.
Ok, watched more and is a 50 yrd pcp. Thank you.
I have one of these inventory avengers I'm trying to figure out how many pellets I need to send through it before I can scope it in set the scope
Are you planning to review the Umerex Oriigin any time?
Nice, made in where
Tyler, awesome product. Can it be tuned sub 20 fpe with light pellets in .22?
Yes
Very cool. Looks like they took the best features of the flash and gauntlet and cranked a sweet gun. Just wish it was American made, but you cant have everything for $300.
How about barrel rifling in .25 (twist per inch)?
Any idea of the barrel twist of the different calibers?
can I adjust the hammer under pressure
Is it going to be available here in the Philippines?
What scope do you recommend for the Avenger in .25 cal?
Can I fill a tank with my garage air compressor or does it have to be special? I'm about to buy my 1st PCP rifle and don't know anything but I do have a air compressor at my shop and my garage for power tools.
How many shots you get per fill in hi & in low?
adjusted the hammer spring i dont understand english please someone who can answer me ???
What should we expect from the Air Venturi Avenger? I have experience with five different Avengers in .22. One had a POI change that was erratic and unpredictable. Nothing seemed to work to correct the problem. The group would unpredictably jump three inches to the left but without changing the scope setting and after several shots the group would shift to the original POI. Strange behavior that I could not correct.
Another of the five had a barrel that shot so low and right that I did not have enough scope adjustment. Scope shimming was not an option due to stressing the scope tube. Numbers three, four and five had regulator leaks. Those Avengers were the new baffle models that leaked 200 PSI in seven minutes and increased to 600 and 800 PSI over night. Is there a manufacturer’s defect in the new baffle models? Since the Avengers are a budget model and defects should be expected however all five in my experience were beyond tolerable defects. My air rifles and supplies are bought from Pyramyd Air and have not experienced the Avenger problems with other Chinese air rifles. The Gauntlet is a prime example. The Avenger baffle models were accurate on the bench but very unpredictable on the regulator while hunting. Even with all the problems, I am looking for an Avenger .22 that works with tolerable defects. The Avenger sounds like a good hunter.
what about the settings in the .177 version ?
Sir,is the barrel choke?
Hello from.argentina.....the hamer sprin is a full regulator? For this seting valve
Can the trigger be adjusted down?
does pyramid air sell /ship to philippines?
Sir I have a question if I will order Air gun at your website it can ship to philippines?
VERY interested in this in .22 cal!
Can you please review the Stoeger XM1 in .177
Probably not anytime soon, but it's basically a cooler looking Diana Stormrider, so performance should be about the same.
benjiman, do this with the marauder...
How to order this kind of ag...? Is there any store in the Philippines sale this kind of ag sir?
When you adjusted regulator down to 2200. Did you do any adjustments to the hammer spring? I have the 25 Caliber and want to set mine up like the set up on the one in the video
No. Didn't touch it. But you can definitely play with it to refine your results and fine tune once you get the reg into the pressure range you want
Set your hammer spring dead center then adjust your regulator to where your highest, or fastest shot velocity does not go over 889 fps then fine tune your hammer spring either in or out to minimize the spread. This tune setup will give you the best power AND accuracy combination. Any faster velocity will give you more power, BUT your accuracy will suffer. Any less velocity will give you more accuracy, BUT your power will suffer, and any wind will take away any accuracy benefits, unless you are shooting indoors, or on a dead calm day. Lastly, when you degass and bottom out the regulator screw, use a 90 degree screwdriver and a protractor to unscrew no more than 35 degrees, that should get you in the ball park. Your gun's efficiency should be better than 25%. In the video it was 17% then after dropping approximately 25 Bar pressure, the efficiency rose to 18%.
The gauntlet has it beat for accuracy but no one has time with it yet, to get adjustments for it.
It's this year's Gauntlet! Hype me baby! LOL
Pretty sure when we tested the .25 Gauntlet the accuracy was pretty much the same at 45 yards as we achieved with the avenger, half inch or so is impressive all around.
Those random fliers will likely disappear if you drop the regulator to yield about 850 fps with pellets.
Great yet another $300 PCP airgun, unfortunately I've run out of room, too many guns!
Great prob to have lol
Said: No one
I’m assuming he just left the hammer spring at manufacturer level? Surprising he didn’t discuss it more in the video.
What has happened to PA? Used to be the best company to deal with- can't say that now. And no, my gripe is not a Covid-19 thing.
Que tan bueno salen lo rifles beeman
How many cubic inches is yeh the tank on the rifle.
Can you ship it to India?
How to buy from the Philippines?
Why do they put on rubber but pads? There's no recoil and it catches on clothing.
Hello how can I order one?????
👍🏼
For the amount of FPE it's making, getting 40 plus shots is impressive for the .25 version basically shoot 5 mags and refill.
JSB Kings always a solid performer and the Hybrids shooting pretty well, bit more fine tuning and the slugs should tighten up get a Donny on there and you got a impressive setup that gets people into a pcp rifle that's tunable.
想拥有啊! 真香 可惜 只能看
Between a Benjamin Fortitude and AirVenturi Avenger (same price range) which one do you think is better in .22"?
Just on paper, the avenger. Easier to adjust, more air capacity, biathlon cocking lever.
@@banshee350cc Agreed. Both on paper and in practice. Side lever, better trigger, more powerful and even more adjustable.
You beat me to it. I was looking at the Fortitude since its announcement waiting for further improvements but this one raised the bar higher. Changed my mind (again)
@@davea.9570 you're right. I was waiting for AV Avenger review and made me impressed with all features it has.
It's a shame that the border still closed to Mexico, I really want to buy it right now!
You did not mention if the polymer stock to solid or has an empty sound to it ?
It's hollow.
Hey Tyler, since this gun takes 4350 psi, is there a tank with this output ?
Most carbon fiber tanks fill to 4500 psi, which means you can output 4350. But realistically, your tank will only do that once or twice and then you'll be filling slightly lower with each subsequent fill. To me, not a big deal. Personally, I just fill the gun to 250 BAR for regular use. Get a ton of fills that way.
Bearded one, how long would you say the life expectancy is on this rifle is ? I have had Huntsman for the last 20 years, just o ring rebuilds and still giving me 1/2 moa 10 shot group's . Don't get me wrong , i hate daystates now. mine were all steel. Just asking. I need a good truck gun. Thank you Sir...
The .25 we used in this video is still going strong. In terms of points that may become issues, it's much the same as any other PCP. Any of the orings could go, your firing valve may need to be replaced at some point and the regulator seals may need replacement as well. The rifle is pretty easy to work on and since you can bleed the pressure easily, most anything that goes wrong with it can be fixed with the properly sized orings at home (if you're comfortable with working on your gun). If you're not, our tech team can get you sorted out.
Add to cart.
Nice video to bad no one has them in stock
That's because they haven't arrived yet, should be here within the next two weeks.
did you have to do anything to the hammer after you adjusted the reg ? those 25g JSB pellets are the truth. if I'm able to get 1 next week, 🙏 please shoot them polymags with excellent accuracy lol good video n review...do you guys offer tunes on this gun n others? AIR VENTURI DID A DAM GOOD JOB they get 5 thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
No, the hammer spring adjustment was left alone. We will explore the hammer spring adjustment in a future video.
@@tylerpatner6591 when is this gun available? on pyramyd air it said the 26th ,now it's saying 30th is the estimated date..if I go ahead and order it, will that be the right thing to do to preserve a spot, how does that work ? it's estimated, it's saying there not sure ? what would you do
@@bigearl8687 Hopefully next week. I know the guns are in the US, but not sure where exactly. Yes, pre-ordering will secure your place in line for one. I recommend doing so with a credit card, as we will not charge you until the rifle is in stock and ready to ship. If you pay with Paypal, the money is pulled right away. The date says Estimated because it's not physically in our warehouse yet but that is when we anticipate it being in based on what the manufacturer/supplier has told us. Pre-ordering is definitely the right move at this point.
@@tylerpatner6591 appreciate it, I'll order it on my lunch break..thanks
when I received my gun last week, the reg pressure was at 1, I filled it up & it moved to max reg, and stopped b4 300 bar ... I didn't touch anything or any adjustments...my question is does that supposed to happen? & my degas tool doesn't fit....
You sure you're looking at the correct gauge? Usually, the regs are set around 2600-3000 psi from the factory. But in general, yes, the reg gauge will read less than the fill gauge unless you have less pressure in the gun than what the reg is set for.
@@tylerpatner6591 yes I'm looking at the right one, I shot it about 10x after I filled it, reg is still at 3k max hasn't moved at all, can I adjust the hammer while it's under pressure?
@@bigearl8687 Okay, that's fine then. Yes, you can absolutely adjust the hammer spring with air in the gun. Wouldn't recommend adjusting it while the rifle is cocked though.
@@tylerpatner6591 ok thanks, appreciate it
@@tylerpatner6591 these screws on the scope rail, there not tighten up, the back 2 no problem...also the rotary mag, one is not functioning properly...will the 25cal marauder mags fit the avenger? do I send this back to pyramyd air for the scope rail ? or someone else
The fpe of the 25 and 22 is almost the same 40 plus
The 25 is a different gun internally. It will do 72+ FPE. I own both. the 25 and the 22.
