Awesome video. Great information on a fabulous rifle. I have the .25 cal and the Nova Vista Liberty’s in .177&.22 and the Freedom/Aspen in .22 and all are super accurate. Back to the .25...it loves everything I shoot thru it so...I tried some NSA 26.8 grain slugs...shut the front door!...I have been taking pigeons out to 160 yards with them. Holy cow man. It’s pushing them at 920 FPS with the reg set at 2200 psi and the hammer spring at almost max. I knew it was going to be awesome but damn! It is out shooting my SK-19 @ 100 yards and it has a poly barrel! WT heck is that all about? 2200$ vs 317$ and getting it in! Wow. I remember when the Gauntlet came out and all the rave. If they can make a BULLPUP! OMG. I don’t think I need to say anything more. I will be first in line to buy 2. One in .22 and the other in .25. Thanks for the most excellent review brother. God bless. BTW I named my .25 Avenger “Thor”. Not because he is loud like thunder but he is the strongest Avenger 😂👍.Internal 3D printed baffles + a very quiet moderator👍 Church mouse quiet even at 50+ FPE😊

Great review. I think I got the last ever AV Avenger (.25 cal) at the $299 price point. They figured out how good of a rifle they had and jacked the price. That aside, it's everything that Donny states in his review. Still WELL worth it at the new price (as of this comment) of fifty bucks higher. Mine shoots like a dream especially after a reg tweak to 2,200psi and a tighter hammer setting. I also added the DonnyFL adapter and moderator in addition to an extra two port barrel band. Yup, she shoots slugs like a champ too. I like the NSA slugs due to their working and price point. Get one whether it's your first PCP or you want a great rifle/slug gun or whatever.
Awesome review, your are so on point about every detail. This well be new gun to hunt hogs with down in Texas. I have done a few hog hunts with Keith Warren down there using single shot break barrel .22 airguns, you have to hit them in the ear or in the eye and keep a 9 mm as a backup just in case they charge you....
I’m patiently waiting for mine to come in. I already pre-ordered mine in .25, also ordered another UTG 4-16x44 and some FX hybrid slugs. The wait is killing me 😩
I opted for the .22 over the .25. Cheaper to shoot and with more weighty ( much more expensive ) ammo will match the .25 in power and be more accurate in the process. Love a hair trigger and this one can be set there.

Looks very similar to the fx independence from about ten years ago, Webley made a similar type of rifle called the pardime ,or something like that, but they never hit the market for some reason.

If this barrel is the same as the Nova Vista Liberty then Air Velocity Sport slugs are going to be the chit. Stephen made them for his Lady Liberty and gets sub MOA. My Liberty’s are not very picky with ammo and I would imagine 6-30 when my .25 Avenger gets here I’m going to be very pleased I think. Thanks for the review. AVS slugs on eBay...American made and high quality. Stephen is a really solid guy and so are his slugs.

Iam buying one of these. But what drives me crazy is this. Why do all of this and not give bottle feeding. I put a 360cc bottle on my 177 Umarex Gauntlet and now get 150 shots, using 10.34gr JSB at 860 fps. Make this bottle fed, with a adjustable cheek piece and it will be perfect. But I still love it as is and will buy it. 👍👍🍻🍻🍻
Who knows? Maybe you can be the guy that comes up with a bottle mod or aftermarket stocks? I predict there will be a vast aftermarket for this gun. Someone is going to capitalize. -Donnie
Just got a .25 for Xmas. Nice gun , though was having issues with the scope and noticed the two piece weaver/picatinny rail is not machined properly thus causing cant in the scope once mounted. Can be resolved by getting the CNC machined pic rail from ST. Overall a great rifle.
If the internals are close to the Liberty’s you can...with a little tinkering...get 50 FPE with slugs in .22 cal. Regulator was set at 2300 psi, ported, bigger plenum, PEEK valve, heavier hammer spring, and AVS slugs. It can be pushed a bit more if need be. Great gun for a tinkerers.
Expected delivery to PA was supposed to be tomorrow. Checked yesterday and it changed to the 30th. Just checked again today and it says 7/06. Changed twice in 2 days damnit. Argghh. Can i just change my pre order to baker and y'all can just send me that 22? Lol

Great video. I liked how you shared that little tidbit that the groups you showed was average of 20 groups. You need to show sub 1" groups at 100 yards to support your "sub-moa accuracy" claim (IMHO). I have come to really appreciate short guns (i.e. bullpups) so while compelling this one is not for me. Hopefully they sell a boat load of these.

May I ask why you did not leave it at 2900 psi or pump it up to 3000 psi for your power tune ?? I'm a little confused why you'd drop it to 2500 for the power tune !!
Good question. There is more reg pressure than there is hammer spring on my 22 version. The extra reg pressure could not be utilized effieciently. -Donnie

There will probably be people putting a heavier spring in the 22 or just swapping in the 25 spring. I will probably be one of those people lol. The bc on monsters and beasts has to be way better than most 22 pellets and i have a ton stock piled. I also like to tinker and will probably open up ports to breath better.
@@hunter-jx4my Pyramidair dropped the reg to 2600psi on a .25 Avenger with no loss of power from factory 2900psi tune. Seems the hammer spring mite not be strong enough to get the most out of a high reg pressure setup,someone mite come up with a aftermarket stronger HS to enable higher power tunes.

Thanks for the quick look rifle review Donnie. So with a tune at 2500 PSI and 2900 PSI what will be the best way a new PCP shooter will be able to fill this beast to 4300 PSI? Hand pump is a no go!! Bottles will have to be very large and expensive!! I guess a compressor will be the must have for what $$$? What do you suggest for a fill source?
While it CAN be filled to 300BAR, it doesn't HAVE to be filled to 300BAR. You can tune it to operate well with a lower fill pressure with ease. -Donnie

Got mind today 7 24 2020. Great shipping box ,got everything thats supposed to get. Aired it up no problems. I go to put mag in and it wont fix .. What? T h ... Its to thick? 25 cal.. One will go in if i force it the other just wont go in .. I had to scrape the back side of the magazine with my pocket knife slowly worked it down till they both will go in .. Gun shoots just as advertised. Why the problem i have no idea. Just to thick... For all who get .. Fyi

Hi Donnie, counting both air tubes, how much air can the Avenger hold? The Daystate Wolverine R you set my up with is doing great. I want this Avenger to be my first .25 caliber airgun. I'm interested in the adaptor you mentioned so I can run a silencer on front. I'll be calling.

I'm new-ish to air guns. I've had a Gamo urban for a few months.. Love it. But now interested in this in 25 cal. I'm not used to tuning or multiple gauges. Is tuning easy for a novice or should I take it somewhere to be tuned. Maybe it is just right out of the box, I don't know.
I would shoot it right out of the box for a while. At the same time, research airgun tuning and slowly start to play with it. Make sure you know your initial settings, and write them down. That way you can return to stock if you need to. -Donnie

I'd max out the hammer spring, then shoot full strings from max pressure. Then make note of whether the velocity increases or decreases when you get "off the reg." If it increases...keep shooting until it starts going down. Whatever pressure right before that happens at is your ideal "max power" pressure. -Donnie
How do you think this gun compares with the Umarex gauntlet at the same price point. These are my 2 choices that I’ve narrowed down to....as a side note I will be using whichever I pick for small game squirrel/rabbit hunting

On a side note do you have any experience/opinion on the Diana recoil reduction mount. Believe it’s called a bullseye mount

@@jeremyblackwater439 I promised someone I wouldn't make it public again because of the shit storm it causes when I tell people about some of the shots I've made and with some of the weapons I've used for it... But... I've been using guns, blowguns and bows and slingshots for hunting all my life and I've done a job with the government for 32 years that caused me to have "issued weapons" and during my time out if of 750 of us I was always in the top 3 to 5 in marksmanship. And I was awarded two wespon "Expert Marksman" ribbon to put on my dress blues. Outside of family, friends and coworkers, I don't tell people what I can do with weapons.
Id love to see a walnut option for $499 but I think I will have to try this out. I wanna run it side by side with my streamline and dreamlines and see how it does.
Curious if you have made that comparison in the 6 months since your comment? Would love to know what you hate and love about the avenger, as well as your FX guns. Is there anything the avenger does as good or better than the FX?
Pretty much a Seneca Aspen without the onboard pump. Now that they have straighten out most the leak and pump issues I'd be more inclined to go with the Aspen in .25 both seem to be great guns however.

Take it apart and see if the poppet is made of better material than the Nova Liberty.There is a problem with the liberty's not holding up.

Seneca Aspen or Nova without the pump so they eliminated the pump problem BRA fucn O.
I would definitely get the Avenger .25 cal. over the Gauntlet even tho I have an Umarex Origin .22 cal.

Great video. I liked how you shared that little tidbit that the groups you showed was average of 20 groups. You need to show sub 1" groups at 100 yards to support your "sub-moa accuracy" claim (IMHO). I have come to really appreciate short guns (i.e. bullpups) so while compelling this one is not for me. Hopefully they sell a boat load of these.

Sub moa is sub moa whether at 20 yds. or 200 yds. Has nothing to do with inches. Minute of angle is an angular measure.
Excellent presentation. How come I have not seen a review on the .177 version of this gun. I have a question on the proper regulator setting in.177. I have watched every video I could find and nothing on the .177 version. Thank you.
Donnie sweet video ! Ive got my 25 cal on preorder ! BUT if I may its my understanding max reg pressure is 3000 psi ! You started stock at 2900 then dropped it to 2500 for your max tune ?? May I ask why you did not leave it at 2900 psi or pump it up to 3000 psi for your power tune ?? I'm a little confused why you'd drop it to 2500 for the power tune !!
Good question. There is more reg pressure than there is hammer spring on my 22 version. The extra reg pressure could not be utilized effieciently.

There will probably be people putting a heavier spring in the 22 or just swapping in the 25 spring. I will probably be one of those people lol. The bc on monsters and beasts has to be way better than most 22 pellets and i have a ton stock piled. I also like to tinker and will probably open up ports to breath better.

Seems the hammer spring mite not be strong enough to get the most out of a high reg pressure setup,someone mite come up with a aftermarket stronger HS to enable higher power tunes.

Thanks for the quick look rifle review Donnie. So with a tune at 2500 PSI and 2900 PSI what will be the best way a new PCP shooter will be able to fill this beast to 4300 PSI? Hand pump is a no go!! Bottles will have to be very large and expensive!! I guess a compressor will be the must have for what $$$? What do you suggest for a fill source?
While it CAN be filled to 300BAR, it doesn't HAVE to be filled to 300BAR. You can tune it to operate well with a lower fill pressure with ease.

Got mind today 7 24 2020. Great shipping box ,got everything thats supposed to get. Aired it up no problems. I go to put mag in and it wont fix .. What? T h ... Its to thick? 25 cal.. One will go in if i force it the other just wont go in .. I had to scrape the back side of the magazine with my pocket knife slowly worked it down till they both will go in .. Gun shoots just as advertised. Why the problem i have no idea. Just to thick... For all who get .. Fyi

I used to use epoxy and bird shot on cheap hollow stocks. Can the stock be easily taken off and bedded or filled to add rigidity or bedding?

I'm new-ish to air guns. I've had a Gamo urban for a few months.. Love it. But now interested in this in 25 cal. I'm not used to tuning or multiple gauges. Is tuning easy for a novice or should I take it somewhere to be tuned. Maybe it is just right out of the box, I don't know.
I would shoot it right out of the box for a while. At the same time, research airgun tuning and slowly start to play with it. Make sure you know your initial settings, and write them down. That way you can return to stock if you need to.

I prefer a lighter rifle. Can foam fill plastic. I will buy the synthetic always if it's 6lbs.

Where do you think a good place to start for the "max" tune on the .25 model?
I'd max out the hammer spring, then shoot full strings from max pressure. Then make note of whether the velocity increases or decreases when you get "off the reg." If it increases...keep shooting until it starts going down. Whatever pressure right before that happens at is your ideal "max power" pressure.

@@jeremyblackwater439 I promised someone I wouldn't make it public again because of the shit storm it causes when I tell people about some of the shots I've made and with some of the weapons I've used for it... But... I've been using guns, blowguns and bows and slingshots for hunting all my life and I've done a job with the government for 32 years that caused me to have "issued weapons" and during my time out if of 750 of us I was always in the top 3 to 5 in marksmanship. And I was awarded two wespon "Expert Marksman" ribbon to put on my dress blues. Outside of family, friends and coworkers, I don't tell people what I can do with weapons.
Isn't it little heavy to load 300 bar?. if Air Ventury brings it down to 200-225 bar, and with that accuracy it will rule the market.
Id love to see a walnut option for $499 but I think I will have to try this out. I wanna run it side by side with my streamline and dreamlines and see how it does.

Pretty much a Seneca Aspen without the onboard pump. Now that they have straighten out most the leak and pump issues I'd be more inclined to go with the Aspen in .25 both seem to be great guns however.
