Looks great! People worrying about what other folks cook on don’t even deserve the time you gave them, but it’s cool how you reiterate the Meat Church mission and explain everything so well! You’ve definitely inspired me to get out and cook more than I used to.
it's all about the food and knowing proper technique, the rest is just minor details. give me the best quality professional grill or give me a plate of scrap metal and a campfire, the results will be the same in the end.
I love your disclaimer and honesty on brands with which you cook. Griddle is indifferent. I sincerely appreciate your approach and honesty. Rare in today’s world. Sometimes I use Meat Church rubs, but mostly keep it simple. That’s for keeping it real!!
I agree, cook on what you like. Just get out there and have fun. The only thing I was thinking is to let the chicken char a bit before breaking it up and browning it. I saw this on another RUclips video years ago (can't remember where) They said to set the slab of ground Turkey or Chicken on the grill (or pan) and let it char a bit before you break it up and finish cooking it. I tried it and it gave the meat more flavor. They said this trick is good for those that are not big ground turkey or chicken fans. I char mine on both sides like a giant hamburger. Get a nice crust on it then break it up. It really kicks it up a notch. Of course, you may have a different way you like yours and that is completely OK. Thanks Matt you videos are awesome.
"Be better." Amen, Brother. One of my go to grills at my shop is a tiny Walmart Weber knockoff I picked up for under $20. And I've turned out some incredible BBQ on that thing. So, stop hating, haters. Just cook and be happy.
Great vid!! Love the last part as I had not seen this on other videos. I am right there with you on its all about getting ppl together and enjoying the food and friendship. Never could understand the negative comments no matter where we are. Just enjoy what we are so blessed to have in this amazing country and our freedoms. I am in North Central Montana and since I don't have a proper area to cook outside when the weather (mostly due to the high winds problems) is like it is I really miss the cooking and ppl gathering. Spring is on the way so will be getting more cooking going on then.
Seems like a guy that I could hang out with!!! Thanks Matt for keeping it real. Food looks awesome too. Tried the seasonings and they are good. If you ever get to lake city Fl. Give me a shout.
I am really enjoying the new reflection section at the end of the video as you go from presenter mode to relaxed have a chat mode. I totally agree with your comments as far as I see it you are trying to get people outside cooking, showing them techniques and inspiring them to have a go and what you cook on doesn't matter a jot!!. Great Video. Cheers Al
Hey Matt, Just want to say ever since wanting a Traeger and finding your channel you have gotten me hooked on outdoor cooking. I got have a Ironwood 885 and a Blackstone Griddle to handle my outdoor cooking and I have added tons of Tools and seasonings to my collection just to be able to try different recipes and cook good ass food. I want to say though your Seasons are so damn good. I always gotta restock them because they are constantly running out from use. Thanks for the videos and hope to stop by your Store in Waxahachie when i make my trips up to Dallas from Austin.
Not a Dallas fan by any means but based off the quick jab at the salty eagles fans I had to share this. As someone who has grown up in Northern California his entire life no more than 2 hours from the 49ers who I absolutely can't stand the obnoxious fan base, this song goes out to you Sung to the tune of lambchops this is the song that never ends This is the quest that never ends Yes it goes on and on my friends Some people started singing it way back in 95 And you'll never see number 6 as long as you're alive Because this is the quest that never ends Yes it goes on and on my friends All together now Thanks meat church for a pantry full of amazing rubs, the wife loves the pulled pork tacos and overnight briskets on the timberline xl. They had their disneyworld vacation now I need my Waxahachie TX vacation to learn from the best.
Loving the post cook commentary. The Philly fan talk reminded me of Bill Burr's epic "Philly rant"! I make a similar sandwich in a cast iron skillet (GE electric stove, lol) and it is delicious. Thanks for the learning! 👍
Matt loving the videos brotha! I recently got a blackstone but still using Meat Church seasonings of course! I slice ribeyes with my meat slicer and make some awesome cheese steaks! It's melt in yo mouth good!
I hear you, the brand doesn't matter just get out and cook. But, some cookers are better than others. (that is probably grammatically incorrect but you get the point)
Matt- Great video!! I learned a little tip form a Chef friend, after you grill your bun place it on top of the chicken/cheese on the grill. Then take the spatula and flip your cheesesteak (allowing the cheese to stick to the bun helping to keep it from getting soggy). Best Cheesesteak ever!!
I love many things about this video. I love the fun facts about the team that this Cowboys fan loves to hate the most. I love the whole paycheck reference. And lastly, I love the cheesesteak sandwich. Man I need to get a griddle. These griddle recipes would be quick and easy meals to make for my family of 6 and the homeless that I serve. Thanks for all the different kinds of cooks. Lastly, keep on doing you man. I ain't mad at that! Oh and if you felt like just gifting me a griddle, I wouldn't be mad at that either...lol.
Love the the after the cook segments! It lets us hear what you would change or do a little different after you have had time to review it and get your staffs feedback. ….. My wife is going to love this one with Chicken and not beef, here is a cheers 🍻 from her! Thanks for a great video Matt, hope you keep the after the cook as a regular part! Cook On Brother!
Love the post commentary. I think the best part of your videos is that you show us how to cook. Doesn’t matter what it’s on. Love it. Keep ‘em coming. Definitely cooking this sandwich this weekend.
I dig the post production talk! I’ve been following this channel for a few years now, and every video is 10 out of 10. Love the MC spices too!! TX Sugar has become my go to on chicken and fish!! It’s so good! Keep it up my guy!!
Thank you for asking people to be better. Cook on whatever you have and enjoy. I do enjoy the recipes and techniques. I am a fan of your seasonings - and Malcolm Reed, Heath Riles, Kinder's, Lane's and many more. As another of my favorite you tube cooking shows says, "don't make the same thing the same way all the time" (STCG). Have fun, life is short. As another favorite says "let's be good to one another" (ATBBQ). Peace!
Totally agree with your comments in the follow-up section of the video. I love Traeger products because they work for me, but would never dish someone else for using something different. You're trying to get people to cook differently and that's all. For me an offset smoker would never work for my life, but that doesn't stop me from making great food for my family and friends. Good on you for telling us straight up to be better. We need that reminder every once in a while. Thanks for your entertaining work and inspiring me to do new things and all your products you sell. I've for sure leveled up because of what you do. Keep it up.
Made this last night...absolute money. Wife and kids loved the Jalapeno Ranch dressing...and used some on their salads today. They were upset I didn't make enough. LOL
Oh my gravy (OMG)! Some people just cant do without the hate. Thank you for these videos. I personally have never felt pushed by any video to buy a particular brand. It has allowed me to do my own research and will continue to do so. Thanks for making me hungry! See ya soon.
Losing in the super bowl means that you actually have to get to the super bowl... something that Dak will never accomplish. Throwing interceptions and choking in games is more his style 🤣
Im watching this a second time and I can see why you didn't get your daughter to review it. for one, you didn't use a hoagie, you used hot dog rolls, cheap supermarket-looking ones. don't buy hoagies make them! and if you were going for the subway, you at least need to add the other subway ingredients. but you call it a Chicken Bacon ranch Cheesteak so fine, all that is missing is the Hoagie bread.
Thanks Matt....you're videos are awesome and so are your products! Ignore the ignorance! And by the way...I live just outside of Philly and believe me, the Eagles fans deserve the ball busting! They do enough of it...arrogance 101! Keep up the good work!
Really good video Matt! Cook on what you love and forget hating on brands. Look back at the news stories or the NFC championship game in 2018. Eagles fans throwing full cans of beer at Vikings fans. Terrible stories! They should take a little ribbing.
I ate hundreds of cheesesteaks during my 4 years of college in Philly. Can’t say I ever recall anyone toasting the bun. My progression went from provolone to American to wiz. Love ‘me all, but wiz is best for cheesesteaks. Love the Eagles jokes, hilarious. People need to lighten up. Hated the Eagles while at school in Philly, loved them since they beat Brady.
Ground Chicken? That's next level WTF! I'm chopping up some boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, but I get the premise, despite how badly you butchered this.
Meat Church is season salt with sugar. Will not buy any of their product. Why come out with a primo rub? He's not BBQ just BQ, back yard Be It Known, competition Champs don't mean Great BBQ restaurants
Massive fan of Meat church here in the UK, owner of a Ironwood XL, been trying to get a Flatrock from day one but Treager won’t sell them in the Uk why?
Great advice,......Totally off topic here, a long time ago you mentioned you have the best hair in Bar-B-Q. How do you go about putting tallow in your hair?
I’ve watched all your videos… but had to stop this one when you started talking bad about my eagles!! Leave football and cheesesteaks to the experts in Philly!! Go birds! Dont worry, i’ll still watch the next videos.
Funny dak only has 0ne more -playoff game than Mayfield. He should be booed by all of Texas. Oh when was the last Super Bowl win. Lmao. Way before your RUclips channel started baaaaaa
Few things: first, thanks for calling out the Eagles fans. Can't stand 'em. Second, little tip on cheesesteaks on a griddle. Once cheese is melted and bun is toasted, put the bun (cut side down) on the meat/cheese, slide the spatula under and flip. Cheese keeps the bun from soaking up juices, meat absorbs the sauce better. Love the videos. Be well.
Yeah those chicken cheese Steaks looked amazing I'm gonna try it bacon crumbled up mixed in a little bit Plus that combination could be put in so many different variations From main course to side dish to appetizer Pasta egg rolls sandwiches quesadillas right but yeah I don't know what's up with people they get behind the keyboard and they just get real mean & petty its done about everything so much time on hating just to hate making no sense but & ( I hate this term by the way ) it is what it is I don't know I'll keep watching & i like the commentary
Philly fan here, we can take it. Just like you cowgirls do! Just kidding, Matt try the same sandwich with shaved chicken instead of ground. I think you will like it better.
Well I am glad I stuck around to the end to see the wrap up notes. I am from Australia and didn't get any of the jokes, but it is just a bit of fun - we all do that over here for sure, a bit of healthy ribbing! As for the hating on brands etc, one of the things I love about you and your content is that you have NEVER pushed me into using anything that you demonstrate. You usually always say it's about time and temperature, and I have heard you say on many occasions - use a frypan if you want, but outdoors is always more fun and tastes better. You are a good man Matt - keep doing what you are doing! Cheers mate.
Hey Matt, all those Traeger haters only shoot their mouths off because they are jealous. Maybe they can't afford one or who knows the reason. I don't have a Traeger or any pellet grill for that matter, but I'm sure they are great. Anyway, thanks for saying something to all the idiots out there who always seem to know sooo much more behind their keyboards. Love Meat Church seasonings and your channel......
heck, I've been an Eagles fan for 30 years. I understand that Eagles and Cowboys fans will always take their Jabs at each other. Wish I had the time and money to attend your classes.
Great Video! I started watching for the bbq recipes and loved the flattop recipes too. I appreciate your comments at the end as well. Thanks for all your hard work and keep it up.

"Be better"
Wise words we all can apply to pretty much everything in our lives. Well said!
I agree, well said and so true. Matt has never pushed any brands, he always says cook with what have!
"Be better." Amen, Brother. One of my go to grills at my shop is a tiny Walmart Weber knockoff I picked up for under $20. And I've turned out some incredible BBQ on that thing. So, stop hating, haters. Just cook and be happy.

Thanks Big Al!
Thank you from all of us that enjoy all your hard work!!!
Thanks Justin!
You need 2 spatchulas to cook on big griddles propped like. Friendly tip!
Great video and excellent comments at the end of the video!
Glad I stayed for the end comments! You should make that message a stand-alone video so hopefully more people will see it.
Yup, Philly is a different world.
I made this for lunch today and it was fantastic! The only tweek that I made was to add mushrooms. Great stuff!
Oh man that sounds good!!!!!!!
As a fellow Cowboys fan, I love the Eagle trashing.
Man that looks fantastic! Great idea and twist on a classic.
Thanks a bunch!
Great video as usual! As an Eagles fan I thought the Philly facts were hilarious. You need a little smack talk in a rivalry. Keep up the great work!
Yea, little fun never hurt.
I love the post video part!
Thank you!!!!
Keep up the good work! Haters are always going to be louder than those who watch to enjoy. Thanks for the content
Classic and Simple. Nailed it
Thanks!
The subtle digs at the Eagles got me 🤣
its not about what your cooking on, its about who your cooking for. That's all that matters.
Haters be haters!!! Keep preaching the Gospel!!!
Yessir!
Great cook like the Traeger
Right on!
Philly fun facts…awesome!!
Dak deserves every boo he ever receives 😂
Your Honey Pecan seasoning is awesome
Thank you! Best name in our arsenal.
Keep up the great vids Matt! Educational and fun!
Great video as always, Matt!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Sung to the tune of lambchops this is the song that never ends
This is the quest that never ends
Yes it goes on and on my friends
Some people started singing it way back in 95
And you'll never see number 6 as long as you're alive
Because this is the quest that never ends
Yes it goes on and on my friends
All together now
Thanks meat church for a pantry full of amazing rubs, the wife loves the pulled pork tacos and overnight briskets on the timberline xl. They had their disneyworld vacation now I need my Waxahachie TX vacation to learn from the best.
Thanks Brady!!!!
Loving the post cook commentary. The Philly fan talk reminded me of Bill Burr's epic "Philly rant"! I make a similar sandwich in a cast iron skillet (GE electric stove, lol) and it is delicious. Thanks for the learning! 👍
Dope cooking video. Salty Cowboys fan lmao
Surprisingly... I ain't mad at it.😂
Love it. Preacher on brother !
I like the "Jerry's Final Thoughts" segment. BE BETTER!
Getting an offset smoker to add my my gear. Worried about trying to learn the fire to keep temp and everything. Any tips on first time offset users?
Looks awesome bruh!! Need to give this one a whirl. And that butter wheel is bangin!! Definitely need one of those 🧈
You should!
Carl was awesome!!
Nailed it ! Griddle up 🔥
Thanks!
Matt loving the videos brotha! I recently got a blackstone but still using Meat Church seasonings of course! I slice ribeyes with my meat slicer and make some awesome cheese steaks! It's melt in yo mouth good!
Loved the post comment section. And, keep getting after those Eagle folks.
Thanks, will do!
I hear you, the brand doesn't matter just get out and cook. But, some cookers are better than others. (that is probably grammatically incorrect but you get the point)
Agree with that sir. My point to people is they get to decide what they cook on and more importantly, don't bash others.
Does that butter roller thing come with the traeger?
Nah, Cuisinart off Amazon
Glad to see we agree on whole foods😜
LOL
I used to be a Cowboys fan when I cared about the NFL, pre-politics. So, I find the Eagles/Eagles fan digs amusing. :D
;)
Whole Paycheck
American over Provolone. All day. John’s Roast Pork.
My daughter likes provolone but its just too plain for me.
No one likes us, and we really do not care 😂😂, but we do have awesome food and very passionate fans.
Yes you do. Cheers!
Oh your playoff win was to a team with a loosing record. Wow that is something to be proud about. Engles at least got to the Super Bowl
Can't wait for football cause im sure making this
PERFECT. Miss football already.
nice! recipe ? we dont work like that
The recipe is in the description.
I feel like there might have been a triggered Dallas fan making this video!! 😂it’s ok as I hate Philly fans too! 😂😂 great video
I'm working close to Philadelphia right now. I always tell them how terrible it is in the South so they don't try to move down there.
LOL this made my day!
It’s the worst. Nothing here except mosquitoes and heat. Better stay in Philli
Gator might bite your fun parts off🤷🏼♂️
Not every hero wears a cape
Absolutely love it!!
Literally laughed out loud at "whole paycheck." So true.

That is right. Cooker doesn't matter!
Great video, great recipe and great addendum to this video. It's a shame people have to be dicks. I'd love to have a beer with you one day.

Dak Prescott may be overrated, but your recipes are not! This looks great Matt.
Wayyyyy too big of contract, but that is the way that QB contracts go.
Made this last night...absolute money. Wife and kids loved the Jalapeno Ranch dressing...and used some on their salads today. They were upset I didn't make enough. LOL

I think we need a video of all the different cookers you have
Love the philly bashing!
Losing in the super bowl means that you actually have to get to the super bowl... something that Dak will never accomplish. Throwing interceptions and choking in games is more his style 🤣
Dak was there… just not to play in it! Lololololol
Someone is salty today!
GTFO what are trying to do to me? ugh, ya killing me, now I gotta make this stuff. Yeah Subway Ranch is lovely, I wish I could replicate it.
I usually catch these videos when they come out on Wednesday but this may be my favorite. I love the jabs you take on the eagles! Awesome Matt!
Thank you Bryan!!

Hell yah!! Love your work!
Can't wait till Meat Church comes out with a Dallas Cowboys seasoning, you know it's gonna be extra salty 🤭
HA!
Hey ! I just found your channel. I love its taste, and I'm Tanner Mckee's cousin rookie QB #19
🦅 FLY EAGLES FLY 🦅
Thanks Matt....you're videos are awesome and so are your products! Ignore the ignorance! And by the way...I live just outside of Philly and believe me, the Eagles fans deserve the ball busting! They do enough of it...arrogance 101! Keep up the good work!
Man, I LOVE your channel! You always do a GREAT job BUT, GO CHIEFS! Diehard CHIEFS fan here!

Great Video! I started watching for the bbq recipes and loved the flattop recipes too. I appreciate your comments at the end as well. Thanks for all your hard work and keep it up.
It's cause Cowpies are the laughing stock of the NFL that won't even touch a championship.. Then again that whole division is a joke
