Sure, the new-for-2022 LX600 is better, with a more efficient engine and improved tech, but the company's insistence on adhering to the golden ratio may be holding it back. The 2022 LX's 112.2-inch wheelbase hasn't changed since 1995, and it shows. The opening into the third row is too small, and the second row isn't spacious enough. Add to that an excessive amount of body motions and a just-alright interior, and I'm left wondering what the LX offers besides the brand's reputation for high resale value and rock-solid reliability.
Digging it. Looks like it’s out with the f150 and in with this. My family has been using infinity for 15 years but I have stuck to trucks. You can get a 2020 M5 competition for $90,000 or less. No way in hell I’m paying $90,000 for an infinity let alone this one. I don’t think it’s a bad vehicle but that price is wild. This shouldn’t even be in the same conversation as the Escalade. I think some auto makers put vehicles at a certain price point to force it in the same category as way better vehicles lol. It’s like charging $80,000 for a Nissan Cube and acting like it compares to the Ranger Rover Velar
I rented one of these about a month ago honestly it that one was 2020 or 2019 even it was nice but like you said it could use a redesign…I’d rather get a Tahoe honestly
Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty impressive Full-Sized SUV. However it's also clear that the QX80 is now somewhat behind their counterparts from GM, Ford & Mercedes-Benz. That's why I find it incredibly surprising that they haven't introduced a 3rd Generation Model as of 2023, despite this version being 13 years old now (GM has actually introduced 2 Generations of Full-Sized SUV since it launched back in 2010). Regardless, my advice to Nissan would to either launch that 3G Version or at the very least upgrade the interior & sunroof of the current 2G Version. Oh and introduce an Extended Length QX80 as well.
Infinity was the luxury brand in the 90's. Lexus and Acura were also rans. Things went sideways and now Genesis runs circles around Infinity these days.

I like analog gauges. I feel digital is a cheap imitation. I have a feeling in a few years when everything is digital the super high end will bring back analog 😆
Trends are the number 1 necessity for vehicle brand survival. Infiniti is qualified to completely go out of business because consumers are VERY offended by something that isn't "trendy". Probably about 1% of us actually like the QX80 (myself included). The other 99% probably wouldn't accept a QX80 even if it was given to them for free!
shouldn't the real question be this one? "Is the QX80 a better SUV than a Nissan Armada?" I drove the Armada for 2 weeks, thanks to a free upgrade by Budget around December. Loved it... the only thing that I didn't like was how big it was...(but not the car's fault, obviously) :)
Actually have the new QX80 for myself and my wife has the new Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport . I prefer the feel of the QX80 and alot more nimble, but the wife prefers the room in the Escalade especially with the kids and luggage. The Caddy is more expensive ($120K) but with all the options it has like Super cruise and Parking assist it has luxury my QX doesn't have.
For that price I want the vehicle to be fully loaded…. With back seat tv for third row and definitely the wide sunroof is needed to make the atmosphere different like my Lincoln has

This car as with all infinitis was a good value proposition about 7 years ago. They have not invested in this model and I think it’s about 20K overpriced as a result.
I had a q50s and my wife had qx60. Both were reliable and perfectly fine but I would not get into this brand again until they do a proper refresh.
I’m also still partial to the flip down rear entertainment, especially with having the digital rear view mirrors, the last gen Escalade esv platinum with the head rest monitors and the two flip downs were my fav 🥰
Nice Infiniti QX80 I think this is the apostle to the SUV's compared to the big 3 Apostles. Here is my 13 Apostles to the Automotive Industry:
#1. Lincoln Navegator
#2. Lexus LX600.
#3. BMW X7
#4. Cadillac Escalade
#5. Mercedes-benz GLS
#6. Mercedes-benz G Wagon
#7. GMC Ucon Denali
#8. Aston Martin DBX
#9. Chevy Suburban High Country
#10. Volvo XC90
#11. Land Rober Defendor 130
#12. Jeep Grand Wagoneer L
#13, and the leader of the 12 Apostles to the Auto industry is: the Toyota Sequoia Capstone.
Infinity makes timeless designs
Man!! That color is beautiful! 🔥
I like this Infiniti the color is tasteful, wish there was better fuel economy with the full size SUV models. Needs a redesign though!
You will never get better fuel economy if its has a v8 mate...thats why many car maker nowadays start replacing their v8 with v6 or inline 4...because fuel consumption is one of the biggest factor lead to buying new car by the customer
@@dolguldur4706 the government is in charge of all that. The strict emissions are so stupid
@@dolguldur4706 na v8s and v6s are disappearing because of government regulations. Engines are bound to be more unreliable now because automakers are pairing them to cheap turbos.
This thing is one of my favorite trucks. I always wanted one n this one would definitely be the one except prices are crazy right now on all cars.
It's called Infiniti because they keep using the same interior forever.
Suddenly this interior looks and feels more luxurious and modern
@@naveenthemachine luxurious and modern? You need to get your checked. Interior straight from the 2010s
@@mattmekhaeil have you seen the LX? The interior is much worse 😂. It looks dated already and it’s not luxurious inside at all
@@naveenthemachine much worse? According to your eyes. A blind man can’t see and you’re one them
I really like the 2nd row screens built into the headrest.Sleek design.
This is what the people want...... a must HAVEEEEEEEEE1
I feel like the styling has aged well this generation. The interior definitely needs a makeover. It screams a decade old. At least it still has a NA V8 under the hood
I don’t think the interior is dated. Have you seen the LX600? That’s more outdated than the qx80 and the Lexus is brand new
@@naveenthemachine sure buddy whatever you say 😂. Minus the controversy on the styling car reviewers liked it. Good thing nobody listens to you or you’re the one reviewing it. Love your hate it’s hilarious 💀
@@mattmekhaeil really? Did anyone say this gives the Escalade or other SUVs a run for its money? No

Worst: 2022 Lexus LX600
Times change, but the Lexus LX just hasn't kept up.
@Matt Mekhaeil I have noticed through the videos that he genually has a hate for Lexus products. I wonder if the sames for Toyota? 🤔
Great review. I’m going to buy a 2023 QX80 today, no joke
Hey Joe I just realized today what ever happened d to the KIA EV6 GT review? 🤔
Digging it. Looks like it’s out with the f150 and in with this. My family has been using infinity for 15 years but I have stuck to trucks. I coincidentally had a new Nissan armada as a rental and was blown away. They drive so nice, and tow enough, and nice proven reliable 5.6 v8. Best part is price point for a 1-3 year old is an amazing value!
Awesome review Joe, beautiful infinti QX80. Iv'e always loved this brand!
Man, I think this review had the most Zonks ever! Another honest review Joe! Thanks
I work at an AutoZone and I can agree with the stick-on vent comment. They would totally fall off shortly after being applied..
Looks big and comfy 🙂
Here from Instagram ❤❤ amazing I love these car videos.
Thanks for letting me share them with you!
If you want to complain about the gas or the price then you can’t afford it.
I’m still waiting for a redesign
2024 bro! It's coming
Hey Raiti's Rides Can You Make The 2023 Nissan Armada Platinum
your video cranks me up everytime, especially the check surroundings for safty part lol
Love the QX80
9:36 almost ate the curb jesus
Almost don't count!
It is, because its not American made. Better resale value, and made to last
I rented one of these about a month ago honestly it that one was 2020 or 2019 even it was nice but like you said it could use a redesign…I’d rather get a Tahoe honestly
Love it!!
I legit forgot about this car until you made this review 😂😂so Thank you!
Your so close to 1M!!!! Subs
Just on looks alone Cadillac Escalade hands-down. It’s not just a dressed up Chevrolet anymore as in years past.👍🇺🇸🥃
It definitely is. Foolish to think otherwise!
I love it Joe and Lori and keep up the good work and I love the video 👏 👍 💯
The redesign is well overdue! The price is TGDH!
Qx80 is the boss SUV. I love the look old school and they hold their value unlike the big three.
I always like this truck, I'm hoping Infiniti knocks out the new one!!! I'm pulling for them !!!
Infinity was the luxury brand in the 90's. Lexus and Acura were also rans. Things went sideways and now Genesis runs circles around Infinity these days.
I have a 2022 genesis, and you’re right, miles ahead, on about everything. I’ve had mine for a year and it’s been the best car buying decision we have ever made.
It is crazy things have changed.
I purchased the 2023 QX80, and love it, I looked at the New Lexus 550, and QX80 top it, would have wish they upgraded the cabin with new features, I have had (2) QX 56 , 2006 and 2012
😁So right Joe! You stepped to the camera with the perfect message we’ve ALL been thinking 0:37
I like analog gauges. I feel digital is a cheap imitation.
I have a feeling in a few years when everything is digital the super high end will bring back analog 😆
bro i’m the same way honestly lol. i love analog gauges. just simpler. plus this has the digital screen in the middle so you get best of both worlds
These Nissan Patrol's are built like a tank. Say what you will about the style, etc. The mechanics are solid.
This is so very true Nick!
I just can’t see getting one of these over a sequoia or a Jeep wagoner but it’s nice
Just imagine what twin turbskys would make on that V8
For the top specifications of this car and its cost. May aswell get a range rover or top end land Cruiser.
I have Lexus gx but I will choose QX any day very smooth and comfortable to drive I love it
Ill be looking to get one in 2025
Actually have the new QX80 for myself and my wife has the new Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport . I prefer the feel of the QX80 and alot more nimble, but the wife prefers the room in the Escalade especially with the kids and luggage. The Caddy is more expensive ($120K) but with all the options it has like Super cruise and Parking assist it has luxury my QX doesn't have.
Dude, my dream car is the Audi TT
I’m curious what kind of car does Rati drive? 🤔
For that price I want the vehicle to be fully loaded…. With back seat tv for third row and definitely the wide sunroof is needed to make the atmosphere different like my Lincoln has
Tell me about it!
Infiniti, along with Bentley, has some of the nicest interiors in the automotive industry today. 😁👍
I don’t think you’ve sat in the plethora of luxury vehicles out there, because Infiniti is in the middle of the pack when it comes to luxurious interiors. Additionally, I’m appalled that you’d even put an Infiniti in the same sentence as a Bentley. Yikes!
@@JBrown-go8ru C'mon dude, gimme a break! 🙄
Yeah, it's not touching the Escalade, Navigator or Grand Wagoneer. Having said that it's still one of my favorite designs.
